Their elementary school celebrates Buffalo Bills team every Friday during the football season. Why buy brand new when you can find almost for significantly less money! The men's department yielded up a dozen brand new basketball shorts with the tag still on for only $4.99. We grabbed a good handful of those. All in all another, very successful trip to the Amvets Thrift Store.

Also wouldn't let me return the socks because he wore them once. This is one week within my purchase and I was transparent and had receipts. Each place has their own return policy and that's fine but you don't have to be condescending. Not sure if it was the owner or not, but finding the right fit for growing children is hard and if you're working at carters you should have a little compassion toward moms figuring it out.

I'm not that type at all, and what I do know this is that prices are a little bit marked up considering the theme of the store and everything is from right here in the USA. They have abundant supply of Bills, Sabres and Bandits gear and Irish and Polish too. I find something perfect every time I come in. And if I don't, the owner or staff hops in to help. You have to monitor the owners Instagram feed in real time in order to prevent showing up and finding the "gone fishing" sign posted in the middle of the day. But there have been numerous times when I was about to head over there (or had already arrived) during the supposed business hours and discovered the shop was closed. I have not tried selling anything at this shop but was hoping to start soon. I will keep patronizing because the prices are fair, sometimes even a steal! And the clothes are in decent shape, if not excellent shape. Beware of parking! Buffalo parking police stalked me when I parked out front on Hertel to dash in real quick with my newborn on a 98°F day and issued me a parking ticket. I was peeved but I deserved the ticket. Just don't do what I did and think you can avoid hunting down a parking meter on a hot day with a baby in tow. Scout out parking ahead of time and pay!!

This shop sells lightly used baby clothes for cheap! I have bought items as low as a dollar. They also sell a few brand new specialty items - wubbanubs, rompers, hair accessories, and hats. It's a small place, so not overwhelming. Reminds me of a Plato's Closet for babies.
