I've been weight training with Ashley Day out of Styrka Gym for a few weeks now. I will keep you…read moreupdated as I go, but so far, it has been a very fun, authentic and surprisingly empowering experience. - The gym itself has never been overcrowded. There is plenty of space and equipment to accommodate everyone comfortably. - I love that parking is quick and easy. (I was a tad worried about the 71st street traffic when I initially saw the address... but it's actually a bit removed from mall traffic... so the traffic had never been an issue for me.) - I love the 24/7 access pass. As a female, I feel very safe... even later in the evening if I'm the only one there. It's very secure. - Everyone's been very friendly, considerate... and everyone is REAL... I workout with REAL people (they don't look "plastic" or "photoshopped")... they are real people who take their goals seriously. Everyone you meet at Styrka is there to better themselves... and it's totally fine wherever YOU may be in that self improvement process. Even if you're just starting out, or it's been a while... and you're trying to get back into the swing of things... you WILL feel welcomed and supported... no matter your skill level. - It's very clean and tidy. The bathrooms are always clean and people are really good about tidying up after themselves. Love that! - Another cool thing about this place, if you have a question... people around are happy to help. (That might be the best part... that Styrka is a community...) It's not impersonal... you don't get lost in the crowd... And you actually get to put names with smiling faces. One final tip: If you are newer to the gym or if the correct form has always been a bit of a mystery to you... it's worth investing in some sessions with one of the trainers that work out of Styrka. Even just a little bit of coaching will boost your knowledge and confidence immensely. Don't suffer in silence. Having an expert guiding you puts you on the fast track to RESULTS! Hope this helps! :)

I work in the Fitness space and recently moved to Tulsa. I…read morelike checking out different gyms and studios and have a good base to compare from. Why four stars and not 5 ? Because Tulsa has a log of gym options and Genesis promotes itself as a Luxury gyms. This might of been true when it first opened but is no longer so. Is not that they lack amenities but the gym is starting to look a bit run down for a luxury gym and they try to do too many things and some of them are not well done. Lots of equipment that is starting to show wear and Luxury gyms usually replace the equipment if they can't fix it up to a high standard. More is not better a prime example of that is their Functional fitness room, it's disorganized, dirty lots of equipment there that just doesn't make sense or fit their market share Accessories, totes and stuff thrown all over the gym makes it look disorganize and is unnecessary. Now the good: Genesis is quiet space, members are polite and everyone stays to themselves. They offer a packed class schedule and Personal training have a decent selection of Free weights, Machines and Cardio equipment. Their market is for the Master bodybuilder, seniors, parents that need childcare that want to keep to themselves and just want to get their work in. Well appointed Locker rooms with showers are well kept. Shot out to the new guy at the front desk is polite, eager to learn and grow and is hard to find employees now in days. My hat of to the guy who cleans in the morning, he's always hard work moving fast and running all over the gym getting the job done. Everyone I interacted with was polite and nice.

I've had many disappointing experiences and Genesis Midtown, and am finally writing a review. I am…read moreat the gym daily. The facility is poorly maintained, with dirty broken equipment, and unsanitary locker rooms. The staff overall is helpful, other than one front desk guy who lacks any customer service skills. There are never any towels available for the workout areas or the locker rooms. The steam room is rarely cleaned, has debris on the floor, and either doesn't work or scalds your skin. Additionally, this is the second year in a row where the AC doesn't work, making it extremely uncomfortable to workout. I would not recommend this gym to anyone looking for a comfortable, clean, and well-maintained workout environment. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

I love going to the classes and highly recommend Pilates!! It is a great workout and fun at the same time. The place is beautiful and spotless!!! 10 stars for sure!! This is now in August of 2026 I just ended my membership after 3 years. What changed: 1. The amazing instructors were either let go or left due to management making ridiculous decisions based on inaccurate gossip. It is interesting that the instructors let go were the most popular and their classes filled up first. 2. When asked why they weren't there I was told "trust me it was for good reasons". Nice way to back stab your former co-workers. 3. I used to love walking into any of the studios and feeling like I belonged. Now I no longer feel like I did when I started. I would come to class and no one talked to each other except the "regular club" who were the chosen". It reminded me of the lunch room scene in Mean Girls. 4. New instructors were teaching classes after not even finishing all of their training with absolutely no one there to watch and guide them. It wasn't safe and certainly not enjoyable. Instructors are being rushed through training to make up for those that have left. 5. Ridiculous new rules as to exactly what the temperature could be set at. 6. New rules whether enforced or not that we could no long keep closed water bottles at the reformer to be used during class. How disruptive it would be if everyone kept getting up to get a drink of water. 7. We were told that we were no longer allowed to adjust the springs, yet asked to please make sure there were two red and a blue when we left class. 8. Impossible to schedule a class if you were signed up for only 4 classes a month. 9. The owner Curt Clark is making ridiculous decisions while I am sure he has never once been on a reformer. 10. After being a member with an unlimited membership for three years I needed to switch to only 4 times a month. I needed to pick a new home studio and I was required to have another 3 month commitment which makes no sense to me. All three clubs are owned by the same person and I am not a new member. Just a way to lock someone in with payment. 11. The last thing which really hurt is when one of the members nearly passed out at the Broken Arrow studio about a year ago. They were literally laying on the floor unable to get up. I have been a cardiac nurse for over 43 years. I immediately jumped in to assess her and see what was happening. I tried to keep her safe and as stable as I could without any equipment until the paramedics got there and then handed off report to them. While the instructor working as well as the GM at the time were extremely grateful, it would have been nice to at least have been acknowledge by corporate, as I am sure they knew about the incident. I am not asking for a certificate or ribbon a simple thank you by the owners would have been nice. I wish you all the best, but I can no longer belong to a studio that does not value its members the way they should.
