I have been a member for several years. It's a good health club with top quality machines, 2 salt water pools, pickle balls, and lots of classes. I just haven't had time to go and it looks like life will be busy for me until next January, so I am canceling my membership. When I called the business office to ask if I could put my membership on hold for a few months, the lady who answered the phone was rather rude. I asked about pausing my membership and she said in a harsh rather scolding tone that I couldn't cancel a membership over the phone but would have to go in. I told her I didn't ask about cancelling but pausing. She said there's no pausing, again in a harsh tone. I might join again when I have more time. I had been told a couple of years ago that I could pause for a couple of months. I guess they changed that policy. read more

The locker room facilities are great and very clean. I like having my own locker and the option of having my laundry done. I enjoy the wet sauna Plenty of staff always on hand to help or answers questions about equipment or make suggestions about exercises. Staff is always friendly; even at 5:30 am!!! It's a hidden gym the staff and the people that run it are what makes it so awesome, whoever is the hiring manager knows what they're doing and truly values importance of having thoughtful, intentional and knowledgeable human beings on the team. I recently found debits from my bank account by Health Zone for membership fees during four months of this year. I ended my membership at HZ seven or eight years ago, so long ago in fact I did not remember the specific departure date. HZ business office stated the membership was renewed by me in January, '25, which is not true. They agreed to reverse the fraudulent charges of $212.69 and I have received those funds. However, no explanation has been offered for the error. If you join HZ enjoy the experience, but beware for years to come as HZ evidently does not purge previous customers' accounts, nor their banking information which is quite concerning. read more

I just recently became a member here and it was definitely the best decision I have made. I was a member at the Y for about 15 years and Lifetime fitness for nearly 6 or 7 years . The health zone is definitely the right home for me and thankful and blessed to find the right place . It is very clean, the staff is friendly , the members are friendly, the classes are great, and I love the equipment . They have a lovely pool, sauna , and steam room . I am so glad everyone keeps social distance and it isn't overly crowded. Great management. Definitely have found my oasis ! read more

My wife and I have been members of the Zone for twenty-six years. Initially, my wife gave me a gift for a personal trainer to show me the ropes and the way around the weight room. I've been working out on my own since. The locker room is always clean and fully stocked with amenities, plus there's a sauna. The lap pool is perfect too. The staff is friendly and professional. I really liked this gym and was making progress. I ended up cancelling our membership due to another member verbally insulting me using expletives and hovering over me when he wanted to use the machine I was on. I immediately got management involved and asked the rude man for an apology. He refused and management suggested I just "leave it alone". I couldn't, so I cancelled our membership. I asked management to do something, ANYTHING to reprimand this mans behavior and was told "He's been a member here a long time. I (management) reminded him that members can stay on machines as long as they like". I'm sure that reprimand fixed the rude man's behavior.... After management left, another member said that the rude man had done the same thing to him minus the verbal expletive insult. The man was clearly not following the rules of the club. How many other members will you lose due to not effectively managing this rude member? read more

If you are looking for a gym with a welcoming environment and lots of space this place is it. The Health Zone has everything from basketball courts, pickle ball, racket ball, pools, (Yes multiple), cardio, weights, and track. The workers are always so nice there too add. Marni the manager made an unsolicited harassing phone call to me, spoke to me in a degrading manner, deliberately fabricated false information then threatened my membership in retaliation for calling her out on her horrific behavior based on race and disability. Marni served processed meats, white bread with other unhealthy food at the new member orientation which is obviously not in alignment with a "Health Zone". The temperature in the weight room is so uncomfortably cold that the staff literally was wrapped up in layers of the Health Zones towels to keep warm. Wasting energy is not Green not to mention a waste of money. Marni the manager tells paying customers who DARE to exercise their freedom of speech to go find a different health club. Health Zone staff observed gathered together discussing their personal business, ignoring customers and making them wait for assistance. Saint Francis supports the rude customer dis-service dished out by their mis-management team as evidenced by this review and the past ones written on yelp stating the same exact thing. There are so many other health clubs to choose from and I definitely do not recommend this one. Next step is the DOJ website filling out one of their complaint forms. read more

Ive been a member here for about 8 months now . Initial view of the this Gym has held firm if not improved. Best Employees, Patrons and Facility i have had the privilege to be a member of! And believe it or not i have been to a couple... Highlights Air - is hospital grade Water - purified and alkaline 220ppm yeah i tested it. Food- Snack bar is the bomb Employees - Friendly and health conscious Spacious- cardio separate from weights ranging from cross-fit , yoga , spin ,pilates muscle blaster pump 5000 on on. (all these events have their own designated areas) Ie well planned layout. Childcare employees and facility- are hands down the best i have seen. Always clean has indoor and shaded outdoor areas for play. They even have separate play areas for the older children ! Pools - The one area i wish could be improved or modified is the areas that the younger children can open swim. Last time i checked the only times that children under 13 that aren't doing lessons can swim are Friday after 5pm and Weekends. Pools themselves and classes available are again The Standard. I work out almost everyday its a 35 min drive and its worth it read more

Terrible parking and very little handicap parking. Expensive at hundreds to start and over $50 per month which is much higher than comparable gyms in the area. Unsafe as there is no check in or access control. Literally anyone can walk in and out without showing ID, checking in, or other safety consideration. Worst of all is the accounting office. They are both rude and unprofessional. When I contacted them with a concern, I was immediately interrupted mid sentence and told they did not care about the details of my concern and for some reason she read what sounded like a script citing the Oklahoma Healthcare Act. After she finished I again started to explain my concern but was interrupted. Seemed like she was having a bad day and she claimed a manager was not available so I ended the call. I called back and received similar treatment the next day from another person in the accounting department but was finally able to explain and resolve the issue and received a balance adjustment despite the poor attitudes and unprofessional behavior. More hassle ensued. Make sure to drive by before joining at the time you usually work out. Parking 2 blocks away because of the full parking lot and adjacent street is terrible in the rain, snow and 90 degree heat. Being treated disrespectfully when they made the mistake is unacceptable. I canceled my membership which was another tedious experience. More billing mistakes, sitting on paperwork until I was charged an extra month and rven then another attempt at billing too much. read more

This place is awesome! My husband and I have been members since November 2018. We go three morning a week for one hour. I have taking the swimming classes; he goes to the workout gym. I have lost 3 inches around my waist, 20+ pounds, and better yet, my cholesterol has reduced! The staff are friendly and VERY helpful. All you have to do is ask. I love the fact that they supply the towels, the shampoo, conditioner, mouth wash, lotion, and body wash. I don't have to bring anything but myself! The lap pool is exceptionally clean and refreshing. They also have another pool that is heated to 85 degrees (I think) for those with joint issues and/or if you like warmer water. There are SO MANY classes to sign up for, you will have a hard time decided what to take! I can't say enough good about this place! read more

The Health Zone is, hands-down, the best gym I've ever been to. It is also the first gym I've ever felt the need to Yelp because it's that good. With plentiful cardio machines (treadmills, ellipticals, stairmasters, multiple kinds of bikes, rowing machines, and that one where you rotate your arms really fast--what is that thing called?), the HZ never feels crowded, and I've never had to wait to work out. It even has additional machines on a mezzanine level beyond those on the main floor! And every cardio machine is linked up to a mini-t.v. with full cable, so you can catch up on your entertainment while sweating out your cardio! It has a circuit of weight machines as well, and it includes space for free weight training in addition to a full weight room area for more free weight work. There is also a three-lane indoor track--conveniently circling the cardio area, which is great for warm-ups or cool-downs. Finally, there is space to stretch at the start and end of your workout, with ballet bars, benches, and other tools to make sure you can stretch appropriately. In addition to this main floor, there are three studios where classes are held (including yoga, pilates, crossfit, spinning, and more), two pools, a gymnasium, and racquetball/squash courts. It is a truly impressive facility! Beyond these fitness areas, there is a spacious welcome area for signing in, a cafe with smoothies and other healthy options, and a seating area to meet up with friends. The locker rooms are clean and spacious as well, with digital locks (no lugging a padlock and key around), showers stocked with the essentials (shampoo, conditioner, body wash), clean-up areas with more essentials (body lotion, soap, mouthwash, bags for taking home wet swimsuits), and--most importantly--a steam room and a sauna! Plentiful towels are available at the entrance/exit to the locker rooms and on the cardio floor. They even have massage services available in another part of the facility, and personal and group training for additional fees. I believe there is also child care available during certain times as well. When I work out at the HZ, I feel like I am taking a little mini-vacation.... It is calm, positive, and designed for getting healthy! I love being surrounded by people of all ages--from young college kids to amazing men and women in their 80s and older--who are striving for maximum health and fitness. I know that I can be challenged to do something new because there is always something new to try. The staff members are always available to help you if you have any questions, and they do complimentary health assessments every three months so that you can measure your progress. The HZ is part of the St. Francis Hospital, so employees of St. Francis get a discounted membership. Otherwise, it is pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for. The steam room and sauna alone are worth the price of membership to me, not to mention the free classes. My only suggestions for improvement would be to turn off Fox News in the main seating area--it's widely seen as faux news--and to offer more evening classes for those of us who can't get to the gym by 4:30. (Even the latest yoga class is only offered at 5:45 p.m.) I have heard, though, that the later evening classes are not well attended, so that could be the reason why they have been phased out. These are minor comments, though, as the Health Zone is pretty much as close to perfection as a gym could get. read more

One of the few places left that have raquetball courts. Earlier I had joined VASA simply (and only) for that reason and then--without warning--they tore their courts out and then proceeded to charge me yet another month for an early withdrawal "penalty" fee. I immediately joined the Health Zone and then wondered why I hadn't been here all along! This place is fabulous. The employees are great. Facilities are clean and plentiful. I like it, but I am no longer a member because I found the hours to be restricting. Other than the hours, this place is fabulous. They have a very nice locker room with built-in locks (so you do not need to bring your own), and there is also a sauna (both humid and dry) just for women in the locker room area. They have a great selection of free weights, cardio machines, and group fitness classes that you can take for free with your monthly membership. They also have a cafe, a place where you can get health/fitness counseling and minor blood workups, and a spa where you can get massages. There are two big pools for swimming as well. I think it's the best place nearby, but on the weekends they close early. If you work at St. Francis, you get the option to payroll deduct your membership and it is also discounted. I was paying $40/month for mine since I work there. The staff is also amazing! read more

My husband and I love the healthzone. It is actually where we met! We mostly utilize the gym for it's Crossfit classes. HZ is one of the only full gyms in Tulsa which also offers affiliate Crossfit classes under certified coaching, not to mentioned it is clean and air conditioned! read more

The facility is clean and very modern. Locker rooms have been updated. Great classes, 2 clean pools, all kinds of machines and weights. My only complaints are the parking and the Sunday hours. They just made a crazy park next to the Health Zone that sure could of been parking. Have never seen anyone in the park. But everyday you drive around hunting for a parking space. Also they need Sunday morning hours. They have plenty of workers that could alternate Sunday's so we can get morning hours. read more

Facilites are nice, clean, well kept & up to date. However, be aware that even with a 30 day notice of cancellation you still could incur membership charges 2 months later which is what they call a "partial month". So the 30 day notice of cancellation is no guarantee. read more

I love my health club. It has excellent classes and excellent teachers. We have many exercise machines. We can do all this for one very reasonable price with minimal additional expense unless you want a massage, special Pilates machine classes etc. read more

I joined HealthZone about 2 months ago and it has been a great experience! The staff is always welcoming, friendly, and helpful. As a new member, I've had quite a few questions along the way, and they always have the answer! The class instructors amazing! They are always very energetic and encouraging! My favorite class so far is RIPPED. It's always a challenging workout and the choreography is easy to catch on to after you do it a couple times. I like that they have several Intro classes for a few of the group classes (i.e. cycling, pilates, yoga, barre). It's nice to get familiar with the moves and format of the class before you jump in to the actual class! There have always been plenty of cardio machines available as well, and I've never had to wait to use any equipment. I've been to several other gyms in the Tulsa area and HealthZone just has a more professional and relaxed environment than most. They are customer service focused and it shows in each one of their staff members! read more
