Three adults. 1) Large Tea and a small cup of homemade (canned) chicken chowder soup. 2) Large cold carmel coffee drink w/whip and a bag of chips. 3) Large specialty cold coffee with almond milk, a muffin. My friend and I arrived to Sierra Vista a bit early before our tour at Kartchner Caverns so we found Gypsy Sips to get some coffee. The store is a small hole in the wall but has a great bit of decor inside and a fun atmosphere. The owner is very friendly and makes all the coffees and pastries by hand. I had the Peppermint Gyspy coffee and the Drew Berry More pastry and my friend had the Cherry Blossom coffee. The prices are a bit expensive but everything is delicious. The clotted cream is made by hand and the flavored creams on the coffees are delicious. I was a little disappointed as my coffee didn't have a lot of Peppermint flavor but the pastry was so good. I'd stop by again if ever in the area as there's so many other flavors to try! read more

I liked it much better when it was on Fry and it was a bigger and much more charming decor. The coffee drinks are wonderful and food is also great. However, I did stop by the new venue and it's teeny and no one was behind the counter. I waited and called out for anyone there, but no one was. No sign to indicate they'd be right back or anything. Left me with a feeling that they just didn't care, so I won't be back. Although I found another coffee shop nearby that's much more comfortable and friendly, I forgot my wallet and the proprietor Livia, said no problem and made my order and said I could just pay when I could get back there!! Went here while running errands. It's nice to see businesses like this in town. It has a nice set up and decor. The cappuccino was ok despite having a really nice machine that makes the coffee. Service was great. The owner was pleasant and customer focused. Will try food items on the next visit. read more

The decor is quite nice. I will give you that. But having the owner bark orders at the cook repeatedly during a visit is downright horrible. The poor staff member was hounded from the moment we walked in until the moment we left. I felt terrible for the poor woman. I had a panini and the food combination was decent, but it completely fell apart. It had, maybe, one piece or meat in it. It didn't include a pickle or anything. Disappointing. My friend had the rice bowl and said it was ok. Will we be going back? Nope. Stop yelling at the staff and treat them like a human. You must be culling out the few that are left in town who will tolerate you. read more

So this week on Wednesday I would have rated it 5 stars. The burritos were delicious and the regular brewed coffee my husband said was good and my breve latte extra hot was done to perfection. He said it was the owners daughter who made his order. Today, Friday March 18, 2022 at 8:10 my husband went inside to get exact same order as Wednesday. Nobody was inside except him. He said his coffee was weak. My breve latte was bitter and undrinkable. The burritos were microwaved to the point that when we took them out of the bag in the car the outer flap of the tortilla was hard as a rock. I tore off the hard tortilla and tried to eat it and it was hot to the extreme that only microwaved food gets. My husband told me the girls working shouldn't be here alone as they didn't seem trained sufficiently. So if we want coffee on a Wednesday and the owners daughter is working we will come back. read more

Thought I could cool off here while on my way to Phoenix on a 115 degree day. I was very surprised when I was told that I could not sit inside after receiving my $10 coffee, and instead was instructed to sit outside in the extreme heat. Why there was a couch in the dining area if no one is allowed to sit on it, I have no idea. No restroom available for customers either. And the coffee itself was nothing special. The second we walked in we got glares from the workers and the menu was hard to read and if you asked for help they would scold you and make a rude remark. We ordered then quickly after we said "can I change this rlly quick I'm sorry" and they were rushing us and staring at us up and down without saying anything. And don't even get me STARTED on those "drinks" it was a cup of milk with suger, or atleast that's what it tasted like, I couldn't even taste my "chai" it was just straight up MILK I did not pay 7.00 whole dollars for milk plus all my family was there which would make it 56 dollars for milk, and I was trying to be nice but I drank a few sips because I didn't wanna waste it but I was driving in the car and got a horrible stomach ache and ALLLLL my family had the same feeling I'm our stomach, and I wonder why(jk it's the milk) and I bought a ring from there and it made my finger turn greenish purple within the HOUR and it's bendy and not made right. And then other customers walked in and they were as charming as they could be to them, they complemanted them and made polite jokes... If I were you I WOULDNT go here I'm not trying to be mean about this we were just very disappointed. read more

Okay, I had an interview to work with this coffee shop. Thought it would be wonderful to get the experience in a local business. Interview was fine, but then I asked about the pay. The pay here, for the workers, is below minimum wage, about $6 to $8 an hour (based on your experience level). The owner's idea is that the gap will be made up with tips. Here's the issue: this is not a livable wage. Especially in this day and age, this is completely unacceptable. We are in the middle of rising costs in housing, gas, and food. The expectation is that this would be the only job you'd be working, too. Full shifts only! How are these workers expected to live, working this job alone? The tips are supposed to make up the difference. But that is entirely dependent on people feeling generous for the day. Not only is this unfair to the workers chance at earning a livable wage for the day, this is completely unfair to the consumer too: it further enforces tipping culture. I am already paying for a $6 coffee, and I will still be expected to tip, especially now that I know it is the only thing keeping the employees afloat. This is extremely disappointing - a small town owner, paying her workers below the minimum, even after she has upgraded to a larger space because she gets more business. Why? I believe her reasoning was that this experience will lead to more lucrative job opportunities in other cafe businesses, and/or you would do this job of out of love and not money. There is no excuse for paying people below minimum wage. For this reason, I can no longer support this business. It's too bad, because their drinks are great. If your business success is contingent on paying your workers dirt cheap, you shouldn't be running a business. read more

Gypsy Sips serves coffee beverages that border on (or are) decadent. Every drink made is a masterpiece where I am almost afraid to drink because I'd ruin the presentation. However, I run out of patience milliseconds later and dive in. The food is excellent! Good portions and deliciousness abound. The atmosphere is calm & relaxing, with a great soundtrack playing overhead. I would be here every morning to prepare for the day or be here to end the day. Fantastic place just hang and be. Small shop but very clean the young woman behind the counter was courteous and professional snd the outdoor seating; although in between two buildings where it can get windy, was very colorful and comfortable. Been here a couple times now and I've never been disappointed! They have a pretty big menu of tea and coffee with a couple different coffee styles to choose from. My favorite drinks so far are the Arnie and the Iced Creme Brulee. They also have some food options like salads and hot flatbread sandwiches and some snacks like chips and fruit. Everyone's always been super friendly and they also give out punch cards. Definitely recommend stopping by when wandering around the mall. read more
