I've never had a bad experience here. I came today with two friends, one who is from Denver. She wanted to try this place. Service, as usual, was excellent and the food very good. I had a Rahmschnitzel with chicken, my friend had a Jaegerschnitzel and a dark beer, and his daughter had a Bretzel and then a Bratwurst and later cherry turnover. I sampled an Angry Lager beer, which our waiter Chris said was a combination of a Mexican Lager and a German Lager brewed by Barrio Brewing in Tucson just for this restaurant. It was good, but I ended up not ordering a pint to avoid being full. I had spotted a tasty-looking Biscoff cake (similar to Tiramisu) but then the $11 price tag for one slice was too high. Today was the first time I've been here when it wasn't busy. We got seated and waited on right away and the food came out quickly. We left at 2pm and the place looked quiet. A large portion of the menu contains pork, which my family and I don't eat, but there are other options available. The next day, soup has been a favorite of mine, hot and very tasty. I asked a friend that lives out there if shIe had a recommendation for some place for us to eat. This is where she recommend. We pulled up to this small building. The menu we saw online didn't have many of the dishes in the "in person" menu. So I'm attaching a current menu. The prices weren't bad. The food was yummy. I was sad that the lemon pie and the lemon cake were gone by the time we got there. Maybe next time. The restaurant was clean and I was impressed with the staff. I will say the prices were a little high, for a early dinner for three, an app (soft pretzel was amazing) three meals and two deserts to go, we dropped over $120 with tip. The only reason for less than 5 stars is for the the spicy stuff they put in their coleslaw that wasnt expected. The guy apologized when he heard me coughing & not doing well after ingesting it. Said they use either Tajin or Tapatio, I can't remember, I was coughing & trying breath. I don't do pepper spicy at all. Root spicy is tolerated in small doses like horseradish or wasabi. Was not expecting that in coleslaw of all things. I had ordered the fish & chips. They were very good. Service was nice although the girl asked if my friend wanted ranch with her fries but didn't inform it was. .75 cent up charge. We ordered dessert togo. It was really delicious but was $11 for a slice of cake. Ya pay for what you get. In this economy everything is more Very quiet as we went after lunch, not crowded at all. I just popped into town. I had a taste for something that I normally do not eat - Wiener Schnitzel. As luck would have it the Angry German was a short walk from my hotel - score So I spent 3 years in Germany and had my fair share of this dish. The first bite took me back. The pork was cooked perfect - tender with that wonderful crunch. Nicely seasoned. The side of lemon topped it off. I appreciated the side mushroom gravy! The dill based potato salad yummy! The side green salad with pickled cucumber was the perfect side to the pork. The price was reasonable, the service was spot on and the restaurant had the gaushouse vib which it seems I miss. For a moment I was transported to the gaushouse close to my place in Bitburg... When I'm back this will be my first dinner stop. read more

Who knew that to get some of the most amazing German fare I've ever had I simply needed to visit the southwestern United States? Haha. I'm telling you, the quality of this food is beyond compare. They do food exceptionally well. From the potato pancakes as a starter to the most perfectly prepared schnitzel, cabbage and spaetzle I may have ever had, I can't recommend this place enough. My wife doesn't prefer German food (and she is 7/8 Bavarian btw), so she had the prime rib (not "French") dip and fries w curry ketchup. All delicious and plenty of options on the menu for any culinary interest. The service was stellar - fast-paced at the right times, metered and engaging at others. To top it off, it's also a pastry shop! We ate there on Saturday night and their stock was completely cleaned out. Thankfully that didn't include their cakes - carrot, cheesecake variants and more. We each got two to go and enjoyed them for the next 3 days. I'm saying I don't jump on lots of dessert trains - especially cakes - but I'd be back tomorrow for more if we were still in the area. There were some mentions in other reviews about prices being high. I'm not judging other perspectives as value is very personal - I just know that I travel around the country and enjoy a wide spectrum of dining experiences. Finally made it to Sierra Vista and to the Angry German restaurant after visiting Kartchner Caverns. The food and service are phenomenal. I ordered the Jaegerschnitzel and my friend had the Rahm Schnitzel. We also had the Smoked Gouda Mac & Cheese Bites which were delicious. The only thing lacking was the decorations. For a German restaurant there wasn't a lot of German decor or anything relating to Germany. But despite that everything else was amazing. I would absolutely go there again for the food. We had a great experience dining here today. We both had the Jagerschnitzel dinner with red cabbage and Spaetzl which was delicious and generous. The good German beer we each had to go along with it set it off nicely. Madi was our server tonight and she was very friendly and efficient, took our picture and helped to make our experience even more pleasant. We are from Michigan and this is quite a distance from home, but would definitely return if we get the chance and would recommend a visit for a good meal here. It's got like a diner vibe. They let you sample their gravy so you can pick the one you prefer, but they're all good. Service was fast and attentive. The snitzel was good, the cabbage great, the spetzel is not spetzel in the least, it's just like eggy spaghetti, so that was disappointing. Trying to find a good German place to have my favorite schnitzel sandwich. Looked at other restaurants pictures and saw the sandwich with a sub bun and just regular sandwich bread and only this place made it with nice crusty bread. Place was busy but didn't have to wait for a seat. I got the schnitzel sandwich which came with potato salad and my husband got the cordon bleu schnitzel which came with seasoned fries and side of beer cheese. The server was great, the food came out quick, it tasted amazing! I would order the beer cheese and fries just for a snack, so yummy! The menu looked to have a some good German dishes. Update. It's been several months since my last trip to the AG. The reasoning is "bad protein" choices. I stopped coming because neither the chicken nor the turkey that is prepared for the meals (I choose) seems fresh and tastes rubbery. Plus serving size is outrageously small considering the price. Ex. Turkey Cobb Salad. I received a huge salad except the turkey was nonexistent, maybe 3oz at most. The turkey was deli like meat sliced to chunks. Processed. The salad looked filling but deceiving with a ton of tomatoes and cucumbers under the lettuce to look... ginormous. The cheese was nonexistent as well. Disappointing for $18.50. The chicken. Nope. Just rubbery. Bye bye fried zucchini and hello "glorified" potato cakes. Not the best either. As always the service and deserts are great! So don't hesitate in going. Just be informed. I do hope they reconsider better prepared proteins other than pork and larger serving sizes vs the up charge. read more

To start off the parking is small, but there ate adjacent businesses that one can park. The restaurant is also small, but big enough to handle the lunch rush. They have daily specials that are on a chalk board by the entrance door, and the staff will reccomend them as well.
