We've been here several times now, and have consistently received great food, excellent service, and reasonable prices. The restaurant itself is nothing special: it's located in the middle of a strip mall just off the western end of 6th Ave, and features a plain, functional dining room with a television mounted on one wall. Not exactly the kind of place you'd want to go for the atmosphere, but just fine for a quick meal. The food has been terrific every time we've ordered here, though, and that's what really counts. We are so glad to have a decent Mediterranean take out joint close to us; looking forward to many more visits to Gyro Bites! read more

For a few years I've been aware of this restaurant, but hadn't tried it until recently. I was surprised when I walked in at how roomy the place was. Plenty of seats, plus an air hockey table, which I like! I asked for a suggestion to bring home for my husband and I to split, and he said I might like the mixed plate. It wasn't a very long wait, and I played some air hockey while waiting When my order was ready I was given a piece of baklava free of charge. The food was excellent, and the prices are reasonable! Mohamed was such an amazing host who was so polite, he helped us with our order with a smile, gave us a reasonable expected wait time which was very quick, we played the free arcade game street fighter 2 in the front while we waited, we played two rounds of street fighter, which I won twice and before we knew it our food was done! we ordered two classic gyro sandwiches one was a meal, gyro fries, and 2 pistachio baklava treats. That food tasted beyond amazing and the fact that the service was so good that made the food more enjoyable to eat with all the positive vibes! I give them 10/5 stars!!! They even put a small candy bar and a wet wipe packet in the takeout bag, however we ordered two meals. Maybe one of us got the candy and the other got the wet wipe? Amazing hummus, perhaps best I've ever had. Love their falafel, they are fried in doughnut shapes, which was odd, but realized it helps them cook evenly and it's more surface area for the crispiness. In fairness, I grew up in a household that made lots of Greek food so I have very high standards. I ordered via Grubhub and got: - Hummus starter- hummus is a great consistency, olives are good. Tomatoes were gross (more to come on that). There were two pitas cut in fourths and they were warm and good. - Standard Gyro- I couldn't figure out from the order platform what the difference was between the meal version and the standard, so I went with standard. I'm not sure what was going on with the meat, but it was almost shredded. I'm used to seeing gyro meat in long strips, so it was strange. The pita continued to be good (not great, but not bad). The produce was horrible though. The tomatoes were practically translucent and had no flavor at all. The lettuce was wilted. - Greek Salad- I wasn't impressed. I didn't care for the quality of the ingredients. Had they been better, I thought the mix of them was right. Overall, I think this place probably makes good food and I might have ordered right before a fresh order of produce. If I could change one other thing, it would be awesome if they'd consider using something other than styrofoam for their to go containers. read more

My wife and I went here, we have had him for experience before, but decided to give them a chance again. I posted a fear, but accurate review indicating that there was so little meat in the Gyro that It did not even cover in a straight line the length of the euro. The rest was filled all with lettuce and a tomato end. After I posted the review the owner reached out to me in a private message, very angry and said they must've given me the wrong order, but "It's not my problem if you don't know the different between lamb sandwhich and lamb and beef sandwhich thank you anyway." The food is tasty... but it's all microwaved. My gyro was very hot outside and ice cold on the inside. The extra pita I got was burning hot and kind of stale like it was also from the microwave. Amazing hummus. Great falafel. The gyros were good too, the meat was seasoned very well and was quite tender. Their tzatziki sauce is great for me because it was too heavy in cucumber like other places can be. The inside has 3-4 tables; while we were there at least 7 delivery drivers came and went. I was fooled by previous reviewers who said the food was good. My family was visiting from out of town and our go-to mediterranean restaurant was on vacation. We chose this based on the reviews. It was the most BLAND and GREASY food I've had in a long time. The service was terrible. We ordered the food in person at the restaurant to be picked up an hour later. We picked up the order, drove home only to discover half of it was missing. We called and were told they would have the rest when we came back. Returned to find they hadn't even started on the order. I felt the need to write this to warn others not to go here. I hope it saves someone from having the same bad experience we had. read more
