Great name for this small Greek restaurant hidden away in the Cincinnati suburbs: the food was truly de-"gyrolicious"! Got the lunch special of a traditional Gyro with fries and a can of soda. The bread was incredibly soft and fresh, and the Gyro was stuffed to the gills with meat. The only downside: I would have liked to have had more tzatziki sauce. I recently traveled to Athens and a few of the Greek islands, and this Gyro was completely on point. Note that the venue is very small, but there are several tables for dining. Currently, soda comes in cans, but the owner stated that he is having a soda fountain installed soon. You can always ask for a cup and ice until then. read more

Went to try this place that took over the old seafood place. We got the lunch special which consisted of a gyro, fries and can of pop. Fairly priced at 10.99. Next time I will get the jumbo gyro with double the meat, since I was still hungry. My wife said the size was fine for her. They were very good. You can get chicken swarma instead of the gyro. They also had plates and salads. Good size menu. read more

My boss suggested this spot for gyros and I'd never heard of it before so I was instantly curious. I'm always a fan of Mediterranean food in general, and overall, I was pretty impressed by this spot. It's a small place with big character and flavor. We stopped by on a Thursday for lunch. The place itself is fairly small and parking can be a little tricky since their lot is small too. Still, there's on-street parking nearby too. Their menu is bigger than I'd expected with lots of great options from shareables to lunch and dinner options and desserts. They have a cooler with different soft drinks and waters though no adult libations. You order up at the counter and they'll bring your food to you when it's ready. We got an order of samosas, order of musakhan rolls, I got the Gyrolicious platter for my main, and my boss got the Gyrolicious wrap and garlic fries for his. We hardly waited long at all before everything was ready. Everything looked AND tasted great. The portion size for my platter was so much that I couldn't finish it all and had enough for lunch the next day. Plus everything was excellent price-wise. This is a really good lunch spot and kind of a hidden gem on Salem. All the staff are very friendly too. I could see going here again potentially with my lady of course. read more

Loved it! First things first, though, pull hard on the door if it's during business hours. It's not locked... just sticks. I'm sure they'll get that figured out. My wife and I went and I had the gyro wrap while she had the chicken shawarma wrap. The gyro was fantastic. My wife liked her wrap enough that she returned there today (a couple of days later) to take her mom. On the first visit, both the husband and wife owners came to check on us, and brought a cup of lentil soup that I genuinely loved. (I had never had lentil soup before, but I'm a fan now.) When my wife returned today, they remembered how I loved the soup and sent her home with a free large container of it for me! Very thoughtful (and I'm enjoying right now). I love that there's a little bit of open space there. They didn't simply cram in as many tables as possible. We stumbled across this place by happenstance, but boy was it our lucky day!! I consider myself somewhat of a gyro connoisseur and this was easily the best gyro I've ever had. It was recommended to get the garlic fries with feta as well and those were equally incredible!! The restaurant is small but super nice on the inside with flowers and beautiful paintings. The owner is a fantastic human being. He was so gracious and walked through the whole menu with us and made suggestions....even throwing in freebies since you can tell that he's really proud of his food, and rightly so. It seems that Cincinnati tends to be at the higher price point for Mediterranean food, generally speaking. This is exactly where this place finds its niche: fighting that elevated price tag. Finally there is a place that is slinging good food without elevating the cost. The platters come with a side of nicely warmed pita that isn't the type of cardboard that comes out of the package that other places sell as an afterthought. The interior looks like it definitely caters to the take out aspect; however, there are a few tables inside and they will bring your food out to you after you place your order at the counter. Oh my gosh, what an amazing meal I just had! I ordered the veggie platter and it was sooooo delicious. The falafel and cauliflower were so tasty, served on a bed of Basmati rice that had finely shredded cheese on it. It came with wonderful hummus that I savored with the pita bread. The salad was also delicious. I got my friend the chicken kafka kabob platter and she loved it. We both relished the baklava for dessert. The owner couldn't have been nicer. Everything here was perfect! We got a warm greeting immediately upon entering, took menus from the counter and chose a table. After ordering at the counter, our Chicken Shawarma Platter and Gyro Platter arrived quickly, presented beautifully, with pitas quarters on another plate. This was second time ordering carry out. Everything I've gotten (grape leaves, chicken shawarma, chicken kafta kabobs) has been spectacular. It's fresh and delicious. There is a steady stream of takeout orders at all times. I ordered online and it was seamless and easy. The food was ready when they said it would and it was fresh. The eating area is a work in progress with five or six tables. There are a few decorations and a tv featuring Greek scenes. It's cozy and basic. Don't let the exterior fool you. Went today for the first time. We were greeted as we entered and the gentlemen was helpful and pleasant. We placed our order and received it within 5 minutes. After we had payed and while we were waiting, we saw 2 drinks we would like. When our order was ready what I believe was the owner gave the drinks for free because this was our first visit. The food here is amazing. We ordered a shawarma and gyro and some stuffed grape leaves. Some of the best middle eastern food I've had, and a welcome addition to the Anderson area. This is most certainly a carry out joint though there are a couple of small dine-in Formica tables if you must. And there are very few parking spots out front, but it is worth the effort. It is so nice to see local small businesses that give good products at fair prices. We will be back. read more

Found this place through Yelp when needing to have a quick meal before a concert at Riverbend. Turned out to be a good choice. The baba ganoush was my favorite. My dining companions were happy with their falafel wraps. The decor of the place is a bit bland , but the owner is just getting started. He's delightful and he's got a very good product at a reasonable price; so come on down and give it a try. I love these kind of little places where you can tell the chef is trying to make his customers happy. Don't you like to support these small businesses over the chain restaurants?
