Or you can be seated at a table in a large open dining area. Very community conscious with a ramp for wheelchair to get from main hostess area to the dining area. I was seated right away. Being visitor from VA Beach, I asked what's the recommended dish, the server suggested omelette. But I wasn't in the mood for omelette so I saw shakshuka. I tried their Green Goddess version that has spinach (instead of tomato sauce) and feta. The food is a solid 3. I also ordered the Dubai Chocolate latte. We came in for a Saturday brunch to celebrate my uncle's birthday. The place is popular and was quite busy around 1 PM, so expect a bit of a wait. The dining room is large but very loud. It was tough to have a conversation across the table. The food was a mixed bag. We enjoyed the French toast and bagels, and the mujadara had good flavor - a smidge dry. The tuna, which was supposed to be medium-rare, was overcooked and dry. The service was subpar. While a staff member (manager on call?) cleaned a table next to us, she accidentally sprayed one of us and their food with cleaning solution. We mentioned it to her and she apologized with no offer to replace the food. Our waiter was kind enough to agree to replace the food at our request. The previous staff member who sprayed us brought out the replacement food and rudely served it to us with attitude and without utensils. We had to flag another waiter down for utensils. Mistakes happen but the handling of this situation left a sour note on our celebratory brunch. We expected better service etiquette from Cafe Alma but left really disappointed. I came for the rose water pistachio waffles. They did not disappoint! They were light and floral, as I expected. They executed this wonderfully! Only thing is I wish they could make it gluten free. I got the Mira bowl in a kid size portion and had boiled eggs as an add on. Perfect portion! The bartender recommended the smaller size since I was getting waffles and I'm glad she made that suggestion. Lavender latte with oatmilk was light and delicate. Just what I was looking for. Nothing was too sweet and I enjoyed everything. The inside had a nice airy feel to it. Café Alma is one of my favorite brunch spots! Any dish I've tried is unique and high quality. Every drink I've had is flavorful and delicious. I love having options of a sweet or savory brunch. Some of my favorite menu items are the Rosewater Pistacio Waffles and the Apple Cinnamon Toast. I've had some incredible soup that was their Soup of the Day. Sometimes there is a wait, but we're able to quickly get seated and have our orders taken. Don't get worried if there seems to be a wait. They'll take care of you quickly! The brunch here is so good! I've tried both the rosewater waffle and the French toast, and you honestly can't go wrong with either -- both are delicious. The inside is surprisingly spacious, and we've never had an issue getting a table, even during busy times. Never disappoints. Came here early July and again because I love this place that much. I bring all my friends whenever they visit. From the drinks to the food and bakery items, everything on the menu is amazing. They even expanded their cafe into the Rec Center in Blue Ash. Now I just need them to come to Mariemont :) I was super hungry so I got a lot of food this time. I had never tried any of their sandwiches so I got the eggplant sandwich which has the hummus. It was very tasty and filling. I had also got the latte flight because it's always so hard to choose from the drink menu since they have so many tasty lattes. This gave me a chance to try a handful of them. I had also gotten a side of the Israeli salad and a chocolate chip pancake. That Israeli salad is so refreshing and as a side comes with a healthy portion. The pancake is so moist as it's made from yogurt. Every single bite was delicious and had the right amount of chocolate chips to batter ratio. I really liked how light and airy their pancake is. My friends were very happy with all their choices as well. I don't think I've had anything that I've not liked on the menu here. The staff is super friendly and is usually quick. However, the last few times I have seen it take much longer for the food to come out as the kitchen is backed up. Not sure if this was just for the summer or if they are still trying to hire with their new location in Blue Ash Being open as well. However, it is worth the wait,, but just something to know because it had eaten up most of our Sunday when I had friends visiting because we were there for a little over two hours before everyone got fed. Cafe Alma had been on my list of restaurants to try for quite a while but it's about a 45 minute drive so the opportunity doesn't come up often. I was so glad we got to fit it in with a trip to Cincinnati today! Their parking lot is tiny and there were no available spaces so we had to back up and back onto Montgomery Road which was a little daunting. Luckily there was street parking right out front though. I had heard there is often a wait so was pleased that at noon on a Sunday we got right in. It was hopping though so it was very loud, so much so that it was hard to have a conversation. We were seated at a table with banquette seating that was unusually high and awkward to the table. We noticed the couple next to us commenting on that as well. Our server, as well as the hostess, were friendly and efficient. We ordered cocktails and our food at the same time; the food came out so quickly that it arrived before the drinks! I had never had shakshuka so had to order that and my hubby got the French toast. He did have to ask for syrup but other than that he enjoyed it. My shakshuka came with challah and both were very tasty. Oh and the cocktail was delicious and refreshing too! Definitely want to go back and take my daughter and her boyfriend next time. read more

The NJB(enedict) is a sesame bagel with cream cheese and lox topped with poached eggs and dill. The bagel is made"Montreal style" which means it is vegan and boiled in date honey water. The bagel itself was fluffy and moist, which made the dough perfect for soaking up the flavors of the hollandaise sauce and complimented the lox well. It's a lot of textures all at once, which is why I ate the egg first before munching into the bagel and lox. The dill was a little overpowering in that fashion, but the hollandaise sauce perfectly flooded the lox and bagel mixing with the cream cheese flavor incredibly well. The NJB(enedict) comes with a side. I decided to upgrade to a singular piece of French toast that came with butter, a sprinkling of powdered sugar, and decorated with cut up strawberries around the plate. The bread used was delicious and cooked well, but I think it would've benefitted from syrup of some sort or more spices. The first latte I got was a season offering was called a Salted Caramel Tahini latte. I'm fairly unfamiliar with the tahini flavor, so I can't speak much to if that was present or not. I think I overheard a waiter explain to the table next to me that they use a tahini simple syrup. The salted caramel flavor was present in the fact that I crunched on a couple pieces of salt, but it wasn't as heavy on the caramel flavor as I would've liked. I got it with whole milk. If I got an alternative milk, which I didn't ask if they served or not, I think would've highlighted both the salted caramel and tahini a little better. Honestly, it just tasted like a regular well-made latte. Not bad, but nothing to write home about either. The second latte I got was my favorite aspect of the meal. It was a baklavette (not sure I'm speing that right) but it was essentially baklava flavoring as a latte. It was rich in flavor, without being too overpowering, and the flavors were beautifully layered. It's one of my favorite flavored lattes I've ever had. There was a "'market" sort of shelf next to the entrance of the cafe bar. There were a couple of books, wines, and bagged coffee beans available. I loved that addition to the space, which was very warm and welcoming. The space itself was cramped, but seeing young couples show up with their baby, families eating together, and girlfriend catching up made the feeling of being overcrowded actually seem very inviting. My friend got a single serving of the Blazin' Balkan, which isn't pictured, but was good. It was poached egg in a shakshuka tomato sauce with Kalamata olives, chili flakes, and feta sprinkled with herbs. The flavors were well balanced, but we were expecting the dish to be spicy and it came out room temperature. That might just be how it's served, but when something comes out in the mini/individual sized skillet with a little chili listed next to it on the menu, we thought it'd be hot (temperature and spicy wise). My friend also got a Chai Nog latte, which isn't pictured and is a seasonal latte. It was delicious! It was a very heavy traditional chai flavor with a creamier texture. I've had variations of a chai nog from other restaurants, this was definitely towards the top of my list! Our server, Diego, was very sweet and was quite the entertainer of a quippy, witty energy! read more

I grew up eating shakshuka so when I heard about this place I was very excited. Not sure if it's my own high expectations or just unique way of having it, but this didn't hit the spot. It's not bad by any means, still super fresh ingredients, but lacking flavor and depth. I couldn't taste the feta or herbs or garlic and I do wish the challah roll was a tad more fresh. I really appreciate the hand painting of tree branches and leaves around the top of the walls. Layout was separate gender restrooms. The men's had one stall and two urinals. The sinks are very nice. I wish it wasn't so hot today, they have two large glass garage door that they can open in cooler weather with a nice looking patio and umbrellas right outside. I tried to order a carry out over the phone, but they purposely don't answer the phone. I was so hungry, I ended up going up there because they weren't far away from me. So.... I hate, to write negative reviews. I much prefer the positive ones. However... I can't let this one pass. I've been here before but it's been a while. I was completely underwhelmed. I met a friend who was using a gift card that she received from the restaurant from her last visit ( which I discovered was a nightmare). We were seated at 9:15 and no one even came to ask our drink order or offer water for nearly 35 minutes! Our server was lovely so I feel terrible. Perhaps she was new. Either way, it was nearly a disaster. Once we received our drinks ( from someone else) it took almost another 30 minutes before she came to take our food order. I asked for a glass of ice and she forgot but blamed it on the barista. At any rate, the food is good but not good enough to endure everything else. I am in no hurry to return. read more
