In a time where nothing stays the same, Gyros On Main remains a constant. Gyros On Main is such a gem. I popped over to snag some lunch today after I realized I hadn't been in awhile. Everything here is delicious and the staff/owner are super friendly. Today, I ordered the chicken shawarma platter. I got the mediterranean salad and fries (because balance) as my sides. The fries were SO freakin good - crispy and seasoned beautifully. The chicken shawarma was delicious and the salad was super fresh. I always notice how fresh everything here tastes. Wow, best gyro I have had in the greater Cincinnati area! Selfishly I was tempted to not write this because I didn't want long lines at this place. However, since the food quality and service are so impressive I couldn't help myself. I had the basic gyro and fries and it was delicious. BTW - the fries are so good they are main dish worthy. Our timing seems to be off every time we attempt to try Gyros on Main. We were excited to finally be around when they were open. The star of our visit was the Greek fries. Seasoned fries help prevent them from getting too soggy when traveling. I'm not usually a huge fan of dill. The sauce on top of the fries (I got mine on the side to help prevent the fries from getting too soggy,) is strong with dill. The combination of this sauce with the lemon, feta, and other spices really worked together. I was surprised how much I likes it. I am talking a craveable combination. The chicken shawarma is a solid choice. It is packed with filling. I may have been more impressed with it if the Greek fries weren't so impressive. My husband was less impressed with his chicken crispy Philly. He thought it was a Philly with crispy chicken, not a chicken Philly that has been deep fried. His did not travel well. There was no crisp by the time it reached our destination. It left him with an oily mouth feel. There is a limited amount of seating. This is more of a grab-and-go type of establishment. On another note, we had some trouble finding parking. On a Saturday afternoon, there were large trucks blocking much of the free parking. They seem to be there to stay as they were selling plants out of them. We did eventually find paid parking. This didn't effect the number of stars, this is more of an FYI incase this is a regular occurrence. read more

This place was amazing! The staff was wonderful and super friendly! The food was absolutely phenomenal!! The fries were great, all the reviews about the fries were right! The salad and the gyros were awesome and we had a large party. The shawarma was really good! They also offer baked goods. We got macaroons and baklava. That was delicious as well! I can't say enough good things about this place. We travel a lot and really great restaurants with really service is not as easy to find as you might think!, this place had both! I have been anxiously awaiting their opening and was thrilled to see they were finally open! My boyfriend and I came in for a late dinner. We ordered the Greek fries to share and as soon as they were out of the fryer, they piled them with feta cheese and seasoning and brought them out. They are a must have! I ordered the crispy Philly cheese steak, which was described to me as a deep fried Philly. I am always up for trying something new, and I didn't regret my decision! The outer covering was almost the consistency of a phyllo dough and the inside was filled with cheesy Philly steak goodness. My boyfriend ordered the mega sized gyro and they weren't kidding about mega! There was so much meat! The lamb was very tender and mixed perfectly with the seasonings and toppings. I knew Gyros on Main was coming to Mainstrasse and the wait is finally over! First impression walking in the restaurant was wow! Beautiful artwork and simple clean design elements. They also have a video menu board, very cool and easy to read. The food did not disappoint either! I ordered a gyro (extra meat) and fries! The perfect snack after being at the Bengals game! The gyro I had was excellent! Vegetables were fresh, pita was warm, fluffy and light. The meat was the perfect consistency of tender with a few lightly crispy edges. The tzatziki sauce was the best I've had at a Mediterranean restaurant, house made for sure! The fries did not disappoint either, crispy and good! Yum! I spent a week in the Marriot not far from here and had dinner delivered. Superfast and the food was great! I had the Gyro plate, and they had me right away. As a matter of fact, I had it again Thursday evening as well. This time I had the Gyro sandwich with feta and deep-fried mushrooms, and they were delicious. They had a lot of flavor in the breading. The quality of food and service has gone way down while the prices have gone up. It was 5 stars in 2020/2021 but it is not the same at all. The ingredients are worse, portions are smaller, they forget things, and the overall taste is off. Unfortunate it has gone downhill, was one of my favorite restaurants. Great gyros here. I had Gyros with Cincinnati chili and fries. The Gyros were well made, juicy and tasty. The chili with shredded cheese gave an edge to the dish. The service was great. It isn't clear the gyros are nothing but meat and pita - if you don't select everything, nothing gets added; They texted to say my order was ready and when I got there they still needed to make several items! Not good. Way too salty. Note: if your going to pick up your order, you need a driver and a runner to go into the restaurant. The app suggests a tip but no one fills your fountain drink, let alone brings you your food. Ugh. Sadly, Arby's makes a better tasting gyro. read more
