Hi Steve, thanks for the reply but I had already sent multiple emails to feedback@myhominc.com on Fri 7/9/2021 @ 8:35 AM. No response. I sent another on Fri 7/9/2021 @ 12:39 PM. I forwarded those emails to Jayson Farrell using the email address Katrina provided and received a bounce back message. I tried again, received another bounce back message that the account didn't exist. I sent a message to Katrina that the email she gave me for Jayson didn't work. No response. Katrina sent me an email saying that she was checking up on my install "today" I would get a survey after my install. This was after the install was already done - so she didn't even check the date... or have an idea about when my job was done. This is after she made multiple mistakes with phone numbers, install times, etc. BTW, I never received a survey. read more

I will not be using Home Depot again because of lengthy delays and poor communication and lack of customer service by HomSolutions. Three people from this organization were involved in scheduling and working with two different installers. There was a delay because HomSolutions would not accept results of an asbestos test from a vendor list they provided to Home Depot. Months later, when we were finally scheduled, installer #1 walked off the job due to subfloor issues in one section of the install area--understandable. We asked if the stairway and foyer could at least be installed. The customer side HomSolutions representative worked with Home Depot to make this happen. The installer side coordinator rejected the solution. Installer #2 installed the stair treads, but not the foyer. Customer side representative contacted me to resolve this....blatant omission. Thought we were set. Then the installer side coordinator rejected the continuation of the project saying that they "abandoned" the install of the foyer based on the pictures from the first installer. Pictures that had nothing to do with the foyer. Leaving the job incomplete while installer #2 was on site and ready to proceed with the solution customer side representative worked out. The customer side representative tried. So the company gets one star. Installer side coordinator and her "management team" gets minus five stars for failing to move the project forward with the installer on site who was ready to do the job. Not Home Depot's fault. Sorry Home Depot, you have just lost a long term customer that has spent tens of thousands of dollars in home projects at your store. Listen to your customers, and drop HomSolutions. To other consumers, listen to me and other reviewers who advised to steer clear of any project "coordinated" by HomSolutions. read more

DO NOT USE!!! Pain it the butt to work with. I do not recommend you use them. They didnt tell me about hidden costs and didnt ask the proper questions during the measuring to get stuff right. Then completely BSed stuff about why stuff needed to be done or why it couldnt be done. They wanted to floor in my dishwasher by not taking it out and putting floor under it. Ive seen to many people do this and they now have a dishwasher they cant use and cant remove without ripping out the flooring. Ive worked with many floor install conpanies around the USA and none where as big of a pain as HOM solutions. Update: The ripped out all my flooring, broke my fireplace and are now saying they wont even install the whole project I paid them to do! read more

This company has been an absolute nightmare to work with. We ordered carpeting and flooring from Home Depot and this was the contractor we got stuck with. Firstly they were around $2K over budget because they said that the estimator from Home Depot didn't account for the amount of filler they needed to put carpet in in our basement. Secondly they didn't even do the entire project that we had agreed with Home Depot, there was an entire landing at the base of our stairs which they did not complete. Thirdly, the workmanship was shoddy, the carpet is already coming loose in some sections and has hang tags coming off of it. Fourthly, they damage one of our recliners while moving it, it's a pretty expensive chair and they offered us $279 for the damage, that's barely enough to cover the cost of disposal let alone replacing the chair. I've been fighting with them since February to get it fixed and even tried pulling Home Depot in but it's been no use. We will never be using Home Depot again for any of our home project, and if you run across this company aside from Home Depot run the other way as fast as you can. If you need flooring or carpeting in the Denver/Golden area I highly recommend FH Flooring (https://www.fhflooring.com/). We called them in to do the flooring on our stairs, upper floors, and the portion of our basement that Hom Solutions never did, (even though it was included in our contract with Home Depot) and they were phenomenal. We had the Carpet-Install-From-Hell, from HOM Solutions. It ended up being 2 installs because they botched the first install so badly. On the second install they damaged our TV and wall. We called and filed a claim (since they are supposedly licensed and bonded/insured) - they denied it without even sending someone out to look at it. Stay away from this company - they are not reputable. The Details: We ordered our carpet through Home Depot thinking they are big and reputable and will stand by their products and services. Unfortunately, they use subcontractors and you have no idea who/what you are getting. We have been homeowners for 20 years and have had our fair share of good and bad contractors - but have never had a contractor damage our property. During the first install, the installers had no regard for our personal belongings. I asked them to take care and they responded they didn't have time to be careful. The install itself ended up being really bad, with obvious seams. HOM Solutions sent out a QA inspector who confirmed the install had been done incorrectly and had to be re-done with new carpet. While that may sound great and that they stuck by their install, it was still a huge inconvenience to us to have to clear out belongings/furniture for 2 installations. During the 2nd installation, the installers used these long metal strips to help lay down the carpet. They must have hit the wall-mounted LCD TV and the wall. We discovered this when turning on the TV that night. It looked just liked a cell phone that has been dropped on concrete - hundreds of cracks on the screen originating from a point of impact. The wall next to the TV has a huge gouge, where it appears something large and heavy hit the TV and then the wall. For the record, HOM Solutions told us to remove electronics before the install but to leave the wall mounted TV attached to the wall. HOM Solutions never came out to inspect the damage. They denied our claim saying we signed off on the work. We did sign off on the CARPET - it looks fine. We did not know about the damaged TV until turning it on that night and we reported it within 24 hours of the install. In Summary, this is a dishonest, disreputable company. Do not allow them in your homes! read more

Bought carpet and vinyl installation through Home Depot. Worst service ever. Hard to get to the project manager over the phone. They refused to lay part of the floor with vinyl because it was too hard. While I was trying to sort out this with home depot they just reimbursed part of the work and let us hanging in the air with part of the work not done. Carper installation was sloppy, I had to walk to the installers and ask to fix many things. I was expecting at least some sort of quality. But they seemed to want to finish asap and was not caring about issues. Worst part, they left nails in the doorway, so when I step over the space between the doors I would puncture my foot. They said it is ok and I simply should not step over this part of the floor. read more

Worst customer service I have ever dealt with. We bought our flooring through Home Depot and these are the guys that were supposed to install are flooring. Key words: supposed to. We had an issue with asbestos when they came to rip out our old floors which we got handled promptly and when we called to let them know that the inspector cleared us they never called us back. I've called and left at least 6 messages and it's been almost three weeks since then. We never even got a call back. Their voice message states that they are out of the office for a holiday that was 4 months ago. Home Depot wasn't even surprised when we told them, and just gave us our money back. I am actually EXTREMELY satisfied with the Hom Solutions teams that installed our new floors. First, the team that installed our laminate flooring; Vladimir, Jesus, and Alex. They were so courteous and such hard workers. I don't recall them ever taking a break. They were like the Energizer Bunny that just kept going and going. The quality of their craftsmanship is truly remarkable. They cleaned up after themselves and made sure we could move around the house during the project. They were so nice. These guys should be cloned and you should have all your employees be this good. The team that did the carpet installation: Alejandro and David. They must be the clones of the first team because they were also equally as good. Very professional and courteous and caring. When moving our furniture around they were very careful not to dent it or the house. They worked very hard and cleaned up the house when done. We had some unusual requests and they handled them with a smile. They were just amazing and really good at what they do. Our floors look like they belong in Architectural Digest! We have been showing them off to our neighbors already. Thank you for hiring such great workers. read more

Contracted thru HOME DEPOT. Little man came out to install my flooring. Smelled pot smoke in my neighborhood and left my install unfinished bc he claimed it made him "sick". Are you kidding me? It took us 7 left messages for this company to even return our call to get an appt in the first place. Our flooring has already been in with H Depot for a month, just waiting for an appt. Then when we finally get an appt, they send a little kid (maybe 18-20) who is offended by mmj? This is Colorado. Unprofessional, insulting, and THEN refused to send anyone out in his place to get our office floor done today. We are a small biz who took the day off to have this done and has a torn up office right at the moment, and this is how flakey this company is. I asked please help us. They cant get us in for another week and now my office is torn up! And I was told to be grateful for only a week out now bc they had to cancel someone else's appt to make mine!!! How is any of that my problem? Good luck even getting an appt in the first place. Terrible customer service. They never call you back. You just leave message after message. Go to Home Advisor and hire someone else cheaper anyway. Do not use this company. They are not veteran friendly nor do they hire professionals. This kid was maybe 18 and just didn't want to work today. We heard him take 4 phone calls while he was here. And the company backed up this behavior and told us he's so sick throwing up from a pot smell?? Sure thing. Our business is lost and I hope you don't hire them. HOM Solutions did a great job installing ceramic tile flooring in my basement bathroom and hallway! The coordinator contacted me immediately and scheduled a time for the installation saying it would take two days. The installation crew was courteous, professional, showed up on time and completed the job in a timely manner. The quality of the work was excellent. They asked me how I wanted the tile laid and offered some suggestions on how to make it look good. The coordinator followed up to make sure I was satisfied with the results. I LOVE my new flooring! I had my upstairs kitchen flooring done by HOM Solutions about two years ago and the quality of work was outstanding. I would recommend HOM Solutions to anyone. read more

I ordered a custom door through Home Depot and they contract the measurements and installation through Hom Solutions. After waiting 2 1/2 months for my custom door to finally be delivered, the technician arrived at our home with the new door only to find that the Hom Solutions measurement guy had measured incorrectly. Our door did not fit and he was unable to install it, so he was forced to return it to Home Depot. I left a message with my "dedicated service expert" as well as "a member of senior management" and as of four days after those calls, I haven't heard from anyone at Hom Solutions. I've since canceled my order with Home Depot and received a full refund. Such a frustrating experience, since I had planned to replace all of our exterior doors through them next year. However, after my experience with Hom Solutions, I'll be taking my money elsewhere. read more

Never use them! Been trying 2 months to use them since Home Depot pointed me wards them. Nothing but contradictory procedures and policies, poor customer service, terrible communication. They told me what date to install instead of giving me any choice of dates available. Regional manager doesn't care about business and they do flooring installs all the time and mine was nothing to them. Conflicted directions between Home Depot and Hom solutions. Would never give me details as to where to start so I couldn't move goods to prepare. Ultimately, was told by the regional manager they wanted the entire space vacated so they could assess the floor! Allegedly all this was in a video, no it was not! On a side note, Home Depot didn't care either. Jello manager of store, corporate office, nobody cared. When I was wanting to cancel the order once they tried to get me to use someone on their pro division. Another month later when I decided I'd had enough they asked me if I just wanted the product delivered. No way Home Depot or home solutions is ever going to get any my money in the future. read more

After the review I finally received a call saying that they had nothing to do with the money or credit from Home Depot and would put in for a credit. Finally after over a week I received a email saying that they gave Home Depot the ok for a credit and the same day I received a email from Home Depot giving me a credit. I went to a different carpet store found better carpet for 25.00 more and had it installed in 3 days not waiting for over 3 weeks and saying wait longer. This was the worst service we have ever received. The carpet installer got an attitude with my wife because she couldn't understand him, the installer tried to come up with as many reasons why he couldn't install our carpet including having to install on bare concrete in the basement and that he would have to wait for the glue to dry and didn't have time for it. He demanded that my wife call his boss to explain this, and I had to leave work to come home due to my wife being afraid of his strange behavior. The installer ended up leaving our house with the door open and screws and metal threshold material on the floor, while knowing we have a small toddler without any notice that he's not going to complete the wo. I followed up to see what was going on with the service assistant as well as the on site manager, but received no contact or calls back. Long story short, we went to Home Depot and cancelled our order because I did not feel safe with HOM Solutions performing work at our house. Unacceptable Installation and horrible customer service. We are in the process of refreshing our home to sell and find a bigger place. On the recommendation of a friend, we decided to have our laminate flooring and carpet installed through The Home Depot. HŌM Solutions was their installing contractor. Before I start on the Laminate Flooring, I will say that the HŌM Solutions crew who installed our carpet did an exemplary job. No gripes about that them at all. They did a perfect install with minimal interruption and they completed on time. I wish it had been the same for the laminate install. The installation of the laminate was in our Kitchen and Laundry rooms and appeared to be a quality job until closer inspection. We found that some of the planks had been incorrectly cut, were cut too long or too short, and some of the planks were damaged. The carpet transitions, door thresholds, and quarter round molding were not installed because (per the installer) he did not have all the materials or the correct materials. I contacted Home Depot's customer care number and explained the situation. They said someone would contact me to inspect the work and help with a resolution then advised us to not reinstall our appliances until that inspection had occurred. That was on a Wednesday. The following Monday, a "Quality Control Inspector" employed by HŌM Solutions arrived and agreed that the work was sub-par. He said he would see what resources he had available to come back out and fix the problems. Meanwhile, we are still unable to use our kitchen or laundry rooms because the appliances were sitting in the garage and dining rooms waiting to be installed. After several very frustrating phone calls to both HŌM Solutions and Home Depot, they agreed to have another 'better' installer out the following day to correct the issues. Because of work commitments, I was unable to be at home when the new installer arrived so my wife had to take the morning off to oversee the work. The installer did nothing about the damaged boards and reused some of the material damaged by the first installer to complete the thresholds and transitions. Again, the work was subpar and at least one of the thresholds was left undone - why, I do not know. Later, I spoke with the Home Depot's customer care representative and asked for a refund on the installation labor as we were without our kitchen for 6 days and would have to finish the installation ourselves. The customer care person said I was being unreasonable in my expectations and had the gall to say "It's a remodel. You have to expect hiccups." Yes, I can accept hiccups, but I also expect professionals to do the right thing and complete the work they have been paid to perform. It's been almost 2 weeks and neither HŌM Solutions or Home Depot has responded further to my requests for a refund. It is not a lot of money (Less than $250) but it is the principal. My time is valuable and I have spent far too many hours chasing a resolution and completing the work myself. My suggestion is to steer clear of HŌM Solutions and to make sure the scope of work you contract through The Home Depot is very clear and thorough. read more

The installers came. Nice guys. They had with them the pre-cut carpet piece and padding they "had to" cut at their shop. The first thing I asked would have been enough space to cut the carpet in the garage due to freezing weather with the furniture removed from the basement in there was well. He said there was more than enough space, fact there was probably twice the available space they would have needed given the area he pointed out to me with his outstretched arms.. Strike 1 and 2 for being lied to by the HOM Solutions project manager over the phone. First strike the day she called to confirm the install date, and second because she lied to me again the morning of the install advising the time of arrival - both times being rude and pushy at the same time. I then showed the crew lead the basement space where the carpet was to be laid. I asked him if that amount of furniture in the garage left in the basement would have hindered the install process, particularly stretching the carpet as needed? He said point blank "no, this will be easy with those furnitures in here"(English was obviously his second language). Strike 3 for being made to hire a crew (+$$$) to remove and replace the furniture from the basement un-necessarily before and after the installers came - again due to being lied to by the project manager. So my summation is as follows; The "managing" skills of whomever that woman was that said she was my single point of contact for the carper installation is NOT operating with the customer experience in mind. In the end she came off as a bully, a sociopath and general liar. I think I now see why she wanted me to be her "single point of contact". If I would have gone back to HD the first time I suspected trouble she would have heard an ear full from them well in advance. I called Home Depot _the_day_after_ the install to provide them my experience with their contracted carpet installer. I basically read to Celine (she was in ATL at their customer service center) this review almost word for word. She was very apologetic and let me know mine was not the only complaint they have received about HOM Solutions in the last few months. She then also offered to pay for half of the labor charges I incurred due to the bad information I received from HOM Solutions in regards to "moving some furniture" for the installation, which I received in the form of a return on my HD Commercial Charge Account. The final carpet installation was completed and so far I can find no real fault in the two guys work. That is the only reason why I upgraded from 1 to 2 starts. Unfortunately someone else in their company let them down on getting a better review overall. After the thousands of dollars I spent on this project, I would have expected an honest dealing and professional value from this HD contracted installer - nether of I received. If you buy carpet from HD and they use HOM Solutions for the installation, ASK FOR ANOTHER CONTRACTOR. read more

This company sucks, do not worth your time. We had them installed the carpet on a floor, there were 7 guys came over and a few of them looked like teenagers, one guy used our bathroom without asking (Its not because we dont allow it, but the bathroom was full of our stuff that haven't been organized including a huge table that was blocking the toilet, I was wondering how did he get there..), and 2 kids were just walking around doing nothing, then a kid was stumping on my stairs right in front of me and said "your stairs are pretty good".. Rude. The deal was to fix all of the squeaks on the floor then install the carpet, but they skipped the first part, installed the carpet right after they removed the old one, then when we asked them to fix the squeaks, they drilled on the new carpet.. unprofessional. After they have gone for a couple weeks, the carpet on the stairs got multiple bumbles and a lot of spots that have squeaks (which there wasn't any squeak on the stairs before the installation), especially the few stairs that the guy stumped. Then we called the customer service, it's been taking almost 2 months waiting, one person pushed it to another, and the lady never picked up her phone and never reply a call, we are very pissed. They are a company that hires third party companies to do things, the installers' company that did our carpet doesn't even have any customer record online, only a website. If you have to work with them, which I dont see a reason why you should, but if you have to - for example working through Home Depot for some projects, make sure you check all of their customer record online and other things that you care the most - licenses etc. Again, this company is not worth your time. read more

I wish there was an option to give a solid zero star review. It was the worst experience of services I ever have. Hom Solutions cannot install the carpet properly in 3 months. They did not take care of the carpet roll which ended up the brand new carpet got cut deep right in the middle. They had to reorder a roll that got me waiting for another month, then they had someone to install the carpet very poorly and unprofessionally. Then I had to spend tons of my time trying to talk to Home deport and Hom Solutions. They had me wait for several weeks before sending a QC person only to verify that the carpet was not installed properly. There was a huge seam in the middle of the family room. A piece of brand new carpet looks like a 17 year old carpet because it was installed poorly! Not to mention other ugly details. Then I had to wait for another month waiting for a new carpet roll to be manufactured. They finally was able to schedule me for an installation which was yesterday. But they cancelled it last minute!!! Seems like their QC persons are very busy fixing things for the work they did. You can tell why! It is a nightmare doing business with Hom Solutions. I have taken 5 times off from work just to do the carpet for one room. It is almost three months and the carpet is still not installed properly. I have to deal with the Inconvenience every single day while waiting and hoping they can get the carpet installed properly. You are lucky if they don't cancel your appointment and send a qualified technician to do the work. Although I feel like it is impossible. I deeply regret buying carpet from Home Depot because they hired Hom Solutions to be the service provider. This business do not care you as a customer. Your time is worth nothing to them. They schedule/cancel the appointment as they wish, at their convenience. All you get is a "sorry for the the inconvenience". There is no commitment to their client. My neighbor told me he had a extremely horrible experience with Hom Solutions too. He said he was very sick of how Hom Solution did the business. He would never come back to Hom Solution for any work and would suggest anyone he knows to stay away from Hom Solution as much as they can. I just wish I had asked people for reference before I made the purchase with Home Depot. Now it is too late and I have wasted 3 months on waiting for them to install a carpet, for another time! Absolutely the worst experience. I got carpet from home depot and was unfortunately assigned hom solutions. I was contactes by Amanda and promised that I would get scheduled for install in 7-10, when my carpet arrived. After 3 weeks I called, dozens of times, never got a response. Had to call home depot and found out my carpet arrived two weeks prior and home depot also couldn't get them to return calls. Eventually Amanda called me and said the only available days were thu/fri after I told her I could only get mon-wed off work. No compromise so I have to take two days off work. Two installers show up on time the first day and were polite but ended up getting very little done. 6 hours they got old carpet out and some of the padding down. Said they would come back early and finish up. Show up almost two hours after they said they would and had to stay until almost 8pm to finish the carpets. Left doors and panels not reinstalled. Tore off pieces of my trim and threw them in a closet with their personal trash and came back from lunch having very clearly smoked weed while driving. Amanda said he would send me a satisfaction survey which I very much wanted to fill out but shockingly never arrived. I spoke to her manager who was very rude. Never use this company. read more

We are currently on reschedule # 3 due to the fact that they are so thinly staffed that being down a resource sends their entire calendar into a tailspin! When I purchased this carpet months ago, I was scheduling installation for a house which wouldn't have furniture in it for seven weeks. As they have cancelled and struggled to get their stuff together, the furniture has arrived. Over the past two days, we have been moving the newly arrived furniture yet again to allow for the promised, rescheduled installation date. Nope!! Night before we get a call that one of their resources was injured on the job, and they'll have to reschedule!!! The only thing that this company seems to be proficient at is making excuses. read more

I wish I could give this company ZERO stars. We purchased flooring through Home Depot and it was only after paying for the install that we learned who the actual installers were. Issue #1- No one at Home Depot mentioned that this company requires an asbestos test of the existing flooring before they will schedule the job, even though we later saw that it's a prompt in their computer that says "Be sure to tell customer about asbestos requirement!!" So we waited and waited for HOM solutions to schedule our install, only to find out when they finally called that they wouldn't schedule without the results of the test. (And by the way, the test is a send-out that takes several weeks to come back!) So now it's 5-6 weeks past the start of our project and we're just coming to the install date. Issue #2- When scheduling the install, we talked multiple times to the Home Depot folks about how we needed to build up the subfloor to account for door thresholds, etc, since the new flooring is so thin compared to what was there previously. Apparently none of the Home Depot folks thought to put that build-up in our install order. When the installer showed up this morning, he stated that he couldn't do the build-up because it wasn't scheduled into our project and he had another job to go to this afternoon. So he LEFT!!!! WTH???? When we talked to HOM solutions, they rescheduled us for Friday (today is Monday). Nevermind we have other contractors coming this week to finish other parts of our bathroom jobs (that we won't be able to do now) and nevermind that both of our bathrooms are now unusable because we had to tear out toilets, sinks, etc to get ready for the flooring. HOM solutions doesn't care at all and Home Depot certainly doesn't care! Our personal issues are annoying, but you'll also have to contend with terrible customer service and the company is almost impossible to get in touch with. Most of the options in their automated call system don't actually work to get you through to a person. After reading all these terrible reviews, it makes sense why they don't want to actually talk to their customers. Save your money and your sanity and go somewhere else (like Lowe's!) for any home projects. read more

Well, install was completed and it looks great. Small problem with Home Depot side sending wrong carpet, but that's not on HOM Solutions. Had a manager call me back and work out the issues with the agent I spoke to, so that was a nice surprise. And here I was thinking they didn't even check yelp. The installers were great though, regardless of the rest of the issues. Polite and quick and they cleaned up after very nicely. LSS, they were responsive to my complaints and are working to resolve their processes. That's good karma right there! read more

Quite possibly the most deceptive, procrastinating and irresponsible subcontractor I have ever dealt with. Calls are answered when they feel like it, appointments are something that are kept when it suits the company, and any delays or changes by this craptastic company are the fault of the customer. If I could give this place a zero star rating or a negative rating, it would more accurately reflect how I feel about them. Yelp says this place is a Carpet Cleaning business, however, my experience with this company is the work they did installing a security door (to include door knob and lock) that I purchased through Home Depot in Aurora (the Mississippi location). I guess Home Depot subcontracts this type of work out to this business. 1. Hom Solutions had to come out to my house to ensure they could install a door. The time delay between when I first contracted this with Home Depot and the time they came out to see my house and returned the results to Home Depot was so long (in Home Depot's humble opinion), Home Depot ended up refunding that cost and crediting my account (yay Home Depot) 2. It is nearly impossible to speak to someone when calling the number provided by Home Depot (303-565-8791). Calling the number cited on Yelp eventually took me to the same voicemail box as calling the first number direct. Very frustrating. 3. A few months after my door was installed, the doorknob failed. My son-in-law managed to jury rig the doorknob so that I could still use my front door without having to prop the security door open. Scheduling them to come out to see if they could install a door resulted in multiple calls/voicemails before I was finally able to speak with Todd who scheduled an appointment, for two weeks later, to have the doorknob fixed. 4, The first appointment was rescheduled by Hom Solutions which at the time I didn't think was too big a deal, since it was the day before Thanksgiving. It was rescheduled for 6 December. Technician didn't show up for that appointment; no phone call, no nothing. This is where it begins to get ugly. I leave numerous voicemails (because he almost NEVER answers the phone) with detailed instructions to call my work number during the hours I am working (which coincide with the hours he says he works on his voicemail), and what does he do? He calls my cell number and leaves me voicemail saying he'd like to reschedule the appointment. (I am unable to take my cell phone into my place of employment) 5, I go to Home Depot to see if there is anything they can do and they are ever so apologetic. With me standing there, Home Depot calls Todd at Hom Solutions leaving him a voice mail (cal suprese) detailing my problem and giving him my work number with detailed instructions to call me at my work phone number (which they gave him). Two days later, he calls my work number; unfortunately, on that day, I was working at a different location. Fortunately, one of my co-workes gave Todd the number I could be reached at and immediately called me on our internal phone system to let me know Hom Solutions had called and that I would be receiving a call soon. Nothing; no calls 6. Finally, we get another appointment scheduled for 26 December, between 8 am and 10 am. I ask Todd to have the technician call me if they aren't going to make it, No technician, no call. At this point, I've had it. I leave a nasty voicemail (I've really had it with this company) and immediately call Home Depot again. The very nice, professional, and courteous person at Home Depot apologizes profusely and promises to get back to me within 30 minutes. It was actually about 45 minutes later that Home Depot followed up with me saying they had left Hom Solutions (Todd) a voice mail and sent him two urgent emails. I received a call today, from Todd, and fortunately for me, I wasn't at work and so had access to my cell phone. I now have an appointment for New Year's Eve, and maybe this time, I will get my doorknob fixed. I'm not holding my breath on this one, and will be researching lawyers... read more

If you buy something at The Home Depot and pay the store to have it installed, beware. They use this terrible company for a fair number of things (Hom Solutions's voicemail has you press 1 for HD kitchen & bath projects, 2 for HD something else, 3 for HD something else, etc.). We ordered a storm door from The Home Depot, and when the installer came out, the first thing he said was that the size was wrong. That was my fault--I didn't measure correctly--but the man was not exactly polite about it. When the correctly-sized door came, I set up an appointment for a Thursday morning at 8:00 a.m., about 10 days from the time of the phone call. A few days later, their dispatcher called me while I was at the gym, asking if I'd be interested in changing the appointment to Tuesday at 2:00 due to another customer canceling. Because I didn't want to break up my day like that (I work a long way from home), I didn't want to. I accidentally erased the voicemail before writing down the direct number, but decided to do the company a courtesy and call using their main number. Big mistake: after pressing the correct number for door installations, I got a voicemail of a person who was not the person who called me. Since she was not the right person, I gave up on responding, and just assumed that the original appointment would happen as scheduled. Silly me. On Thursday morning, I waited until about 9:00, and started trying to contact the company. Same person's voicemail. I kept calling back, because I wanted to make her pick up her phone, or find some other live human being. I accidentally hit the number for the shipping & receiving department, and a polite man there routed me (after being on hold for six minutes) to: that same person's voicemail! A few minutes later, the dispatcher who had left me the message about changing the appointment finally called me, apologizing, but telling me that because I hadn't responded to her call, my original appointment time was no longer valid. But, I told her: your voicemail only asked me if I was interested in changing the appointment, not that you were definitely planning to switch the times. She denied that that's what she'd said, but I have a good memory, and would have not made the assumption that the appointment wouldn't happen as scheduled had she given any indication that they were definitely planning to change it. So she said that they could reschedule it for that same day, at 2:00. Wanting very much to get this done and over with, I said yes. Silly me. After working for a little more than three hours, I rushed home (no time for lunch), got home just before 2:00, and waited. And waited. And waited. Finally, at 3:45 I lost it. I decided to call The Home Depot to see if the installer had even picked up the door, and, not terribly surprising, they hadn't! After canceling the installation through HD's customer service department, I then left an angry message on a voicemail at Hom Solutions, letting them know just how very angry I was--especially since I am paid by the hour, and to make up the time they wasted, I'd either have to use vacation hours or take a smaller paycheck. The next morning, at the ungodly hour of 7:00 a.m., my phone rang. It was some supervisor from Hom Solutions attempting to apologize. After I told him I'd cancelled the installation, he got off the phone very quickly. I complained to The Home Depot, and they were extremely apologetic. I told the people I spoke with (in Denver, and from their Atlanta customer complaint department) that I didn't blame the store at all--but that I did blame "whichever executive vice president" at their company who had signed the contract with Hom Solutions, because this company reflects very badly on The Home Depot. I bought a new storm door from Home Depot in Glendale and HOM Solutions and is who they use for installation. I bought my door on 5/31 and was told I'd hear from the installer within 48 hours. That did not happen. I was not able to reach a person until 6/9, after calling both Home Depot and HOM solutions several times. When I finally got in touch to schedule the appointment, they were booked up until 6/17. It's not the fact that it took 3 weeks to install, I understand they're busy. It's the lack of communication from HOM Solutions that irked me. If I need something installed again from Home Depot, I will find an installer on my own. read more

HORRIBLE customer service. Home Depot assigned them to come to my house and give me an estimate on installing cabinetry. The man who came out was by far the rudest, most condescending and patronizing contractor I have ever worked with, and I've worked with a bunch. If you can order your stuff from HD and find your own installer- DO IT. It will be cheaper and pretty much guaranteed to have better service. First off I bought new flooring from the Home Depot and I guess they use Hom Solutions as their contractor for installation. My issue is not with Home Deport nor the actual installers because they did a great job on the installation. My issue comes with the actual service expert herself. It was like playing phone tag and taking days to get calls back. Buying a home and getting work done before you can move in, and having a deadline can be stressful. Add on top of it getting work done, and the company who is doing the installation dragging their feet makes it even more stressful. When I needed to get information or an appointment scheduled for install, I'd call, my service expert would never answer, have to leave a message, and it would be about 2 days before she call back. After I got my flooring installed I needed the installer to come back to finish the job because Home Depot forgot to order a few pieces. After several calls to get that appointment scheduled, and being told they don't work on Saturdays, I got an appointment on a Monday and took the day off work. Five minutes before the appointment I receive a call saying the installer was sick and called off, and they needed to change my appointment. I was lucky I could get another installer late in the day, but to me this company is not about customer service. Oh btw, they charge $70 each to move an appliance. I wasn't aware of that until they got to my house and moved appliances and then received a call I owe an additional $140! read more

HOM solutions is the company that installs things that you buy at Home Depot, but their communication with the Home Depot is abysmal. I initially carpeted my basement a year ago, and the whole installation went fairly smoothly although the scheduled time was about a week longer than they initially said it would be. However. The rains this spring got into the basement and we had to pull the carpet up to dry it out. Getting someone come out to re-stretch it has seriously been a project taking months of time and multiple multiple phone calls. Granted, I have not been nagging them nearly as much as I could be... but should I have to? It seems that HOM solutions lost the first order that Home Depot sent them. So Home Depot put it in again. I still didn't hear from a scheduler, but amazinly they called me the day after I called Home Depot (giving them several days grace after the time period I was supposed to receive a call in). Since my work schedule is erratic, and they were already scheduling 2-3 weeks out, I scheduled the re-stretching for a day 4-5 weeks out. Which is today. I figured, that far in advance, they might be able to take into consideration the one meeting I had planned for that day (1-2 pm). But, they called me on Friday and said that my "installation window" was 11-1, and they could not guarantee that I would make it in to work for me 1 pm meeting. I understand that is their policy, but a little willingness to accommodate me would have been appreciated. So today, I was supposed to receive a phone call 30 min before the installer showed up. I did not receive a phone call. At 2 pm I called HOM solutions to make sure they didn't forget me. Not able to reach anyone- I left a voicemail. At 2:45 pm there is a knock on the door. No warning phone call first. It is a guy dressed in a nondescript blue polo shirt that says "Inter Rail" on it. Was I supposed to assume he was from HOM solutions? Nice guy, just not very professional. Sang while he worked. :) He was happy to show me his Home Depot Approved Subcontractor badge when I asked for it (had to get it out of his truck). He did an excellent job on the carpet and was quick (after using my bathroom, again, not my definition of professional). Overall impression: NOT organized, NOT professional... surely there are better installers out there. read more

Ordered my carpet from Homedepot on 12/03/20; was initially scheduled for installation at 1/28. As I am remodeling the bathrooms, I would like to re-schedule my appointment to mid of Feb. Have tried about a week (voice mail/calls) and have had no ways to get in contact with the installer!! AND today I've heard from HD that I was moved to Mar. Not sure what happened. Fuck HŌM solutions we have waited 6 weeks for carpet and the day they come they tell us they can't do it because our furniture is still in the house! This is bullshit. I do not recommend them to anyone!! The courtesy call told us to have shelves cleared and dresser drawers removed. They come into our house take pictures and the manager calls telling us different. Oh and on top of that we paid an extra $700 for them to move our furniture! Did I mention when we got our hardwood floors done they delivered them to the wrong house and left them outside of that person's driveway! And it took them 6 hours to go back and get it. read more

This is the WORST company!!! DO NOT hire them or go through Home Depot and use them. They hire thieves to install the flooring so WATCH them, do not leave them alone in any room in your house!!! Terrible customer service, terrible communication. I ordered vinyl planking flooring from Home Depot and HOM solutions set up the install and after they ripped up all the carpet in my family room they stopped and I found a STRANGER in my home supposedly from HOM solutions telling me there was asbestos and they would not finish until it was tested. After this person left the installers claimed they had no idea who he was and asked if I had called him. Terrible communication! read more
