I found this Laundromat to be everything that I needed. Clean and easy to use machines. The smaller machines are $3, the medium $4.50, large $5.50 and the extra large $6.50. The dryers cost $0.25 for 6 minutes and my laundry was dry within approx 30 mins. I was initially put off going to this laundromat due to the negative reviews about the manager but I decided to check it out for myself. I'm so glad I did! The manager was friendly and helpful. One of the cleanest laundry mats in redding, started going here from all the way across town because the one across the street from my house is not usable. But the lady there is too much to handle, don't get me wrong she does run off the riff raff, but she also runs off good solid people trying to do there laundry. She stood over me telling me I was putting to many clothes in the washer and she just complains about everything anyone was doing the whole time I was there. Not a good experience at all. Okay so don't come here. The owner (I think she's the owner) will watch you like a hawk. (My girlfriend and I are both white and decently dressed so I don't think it's a race thing) Wish I read other reviews before coming here. I did not have quarters so I went to the machine to get some and she shut it off. I then asked if there's a working machine and she told me it's for customers only and that I am not a customer. I, at this point, am very confused saying that I'm about to be a customer if I am able to obtain some quarters and she then required me to show her my laundry as proof and then demands to know which machine I wanted to use; which I did not know as I had never been there before. She then unhappily unlocked the machine (which was on until I went to use it by the way). As I am putting my laundry in the machine I look over my shoulder and see her looking over her computer at me and she continued to stare at me the whole time. I am writing this as I am waiting for my laundry to be done. If you don't hear from me again it's probably because I've been murdered. *I have since moved to a different laundromat lugging my wet clothes over so I could stop feeling the death glare from the scary Ukrainian lady. I went here 20 years ago when it was a place where peeps liked to take there kids. The office had Disney movies to play and toys to lend so kids could be occupied. I heard it is not the same and that's an understatement. WOW WHAT AN EXPERIENCE. Went to do three loads and decided to go there because was close to what I needed to do afterwards. Well after washing (all there single load machines are supposedly out of order, so you have to use a double load machine. I went to the 6 dryers by the office and put 30 min of time on my 3 dryers SWITCHED THEM ALL FROM MED HEAT TO HIGH HEAT. Set timer on phone and went to read in my car. In 25 min my timer went off and went to check on the cloths. All three of the doors were cold. I looked at the settings and all on perm press/low settings. WTF! I am not happy because I just wasted money. I put 75cents in 2 machines and a dollar in the one that felt like I just took it out of the dryer. As I closed the last door I slapped the dryer door closed in frustration. Well I am usually a very polite person. But the lady that works there told me nastily to quit beating up her machines or she would call the cops. I said I didnt beat up your damn machines, your machines somehow went from hot to perm press on it's own. I didnt break the damn thing. Then goes into the office after saying something in German I believe. TBH I was thinking maybe I should apologize for responding as nasty as she came at me.... well next thing I know there is a taser in my face 2 ft away zapping. Saying she will taser me. To get out. Well....... WTF..... seeing that Taser I went into IDC mode and told her if she did not get that away from me I would take it from her and call the cops. Needless to say it went down hill from there and any thought that I should maybe apologize for responding in kind fled from my thoughts. Told her I would leave if she paid me the money I just put in the dryer. And she said she did not have to. (Well yes she kind of does but that's besides the point). She went on and on and on and on ect ect ect.. About how she is not paying me to leave. All I wanted was the money I just put in the dryer and told her that. She she is not paying me money to leave. Well after about 10 mins of going on and on she puts three qtrs on the table, though there is still 8 min on 2 dryers and 14 min on one. I figure screw it, I need to go. The lady is crazy. I would not be surprised seeing that she saw who switched the dryer temp since she watches everything and I was the only one using those 6 dryers outside of her office door...... yes... that lady is crazy and is not a family oriented laundrymat any more. I suggest if you go there, dont expect good customer service... I have never in my 52 years have I ever been to a business that anything like this has ever escalated over something so small and insignificant.... Crazy. I dont see how this place gets good reviews... same carpet....same paint... some of the same signs. Not as clean as it once was... not family friendly place. (Seen a friend in there doing laundry and she said if there are kids there with the parents, they are not allowed to leave their parents side, which was why she did not have her 4 yr old with her.) All I know is that lady is crazy. And I would rather go out of my way and do laundry where the atmosphere is a little more welcoming and friendly. read more

I went in to do a few loads of drying as my dryer doesn't work well, and I barely got in the door to put my basket down and a woman who claimed to be the owner pointed to a sign. When I didn't look at it, she said I couldn't do my laundry there. She stated it's for members only. When I said I don't understand she started loudly saying I was trespassing. I've been coming here for years when I have huge laundry loads to do and I have never really had a problem. It might have gone through different owners but I haven't had an issue with the owner. I guess I can see why people are upset with her but I kind of like the fact that there is someone here to keep trouble out. I don't want to be biased just because other people were treated unfairly based on their reviews and it is truly unfortunate. Horrible people run this place. My 4 year old son was touching the laundry basket and the woman owner came out to yell at him. When I defended him, she told me to stop arguing with her or I would be forced to leave. I told her that here, in America, we are allowed to voice our opinions. She didn't want to hear that. I was told to never return. Well, that won't be a problem.. Perhaps the health department would like to know about the water damage/mold on the ceiling? Stopped in because I had some sleeping bags get wet from the rain. Was told I can't dry without washing. I didn't have time before closing, was told come back tomorrow. That doesn't help tonight when I have to sleep in a wet sleeping bag. Asked if they had a change machine for quarters, was told "for customers". "Don't ask about Bill." I started coming to this laundromat since 2014. Bill managed this laundromat, and I had always been given excellent customer service. So today when I entered and realized Bill wasn't working, I asked about him and where he went. This woman the new owner was so rude to me and ask me to leave. I had no idea that this would happen. I just simply asked, "where did Bill go?" He gave such excellent customer service. The woman was so rude that she harassed me while my laundry was being washed, and she asked me to leave. I said, "can you stop the washing machines and can you refund my money?" She said she was going to call the police, and that I shouldn't ask about her personal business. This laundromat was in good working order when Bill was here, and now this is not the best place to get your clothes washed. I have a really big comforter that can't be washed in my typical washing machine at home I took it to the laundry mat to use the giant washing machine that laundry mats have while I was at it I brought the rest of my dirty clothes with me and washed all my laundry here, machines are really clean and work very well, leaves no soap or dirt behind the atmosphere is really nice and the rest of the place is really clean too, surprising for a laundromat, the owner is always on duty, she is very helpful and nice keeps the place running smoothly, not sure why all the negative reviews on her, as long as you're not causing any issues or using the machines improperly she never bats an eye; and when she does have something to say it's a helpful hint such as not to use too much soap or overload the machines etc. by far the best laundromat in town the only one I ever go to and the only one I will ever continue to go to, Other laundromats in town are dirty, have soap residue all stuck in the machines, trash and dryer sheets all over the floor etc. if you're looking for a nice, clean place to wash your clothes I highly recommend this one five out of five stars . I went in to dry a couple of loads of laundry, because my dryer broke. The owner (as she stated) was very rude. Asking me if i read the signs and that i could not just dry clothes there. Im in a way thankful she got me before i got all my clothes in. Only because i am reading how she treats children (mine are 5 and 6). The police may have been called if i had stayed any longer. So if you have kids or just want to dry your clothes go somewhere else. There is a laundromat across town i ended up going to. I just used H & H laundromat today since Burneys laundromat was closed. Don't know why, no note on door or nothing.....very unprofessional! I was very happy on the cleanliness of the laundromat and the price was great to do a load! The Russian lady came and greeted me and was a pleasure to talk to. I wish I could leave no stars. As soon as I entered the owner was up my butt and micromanaging everything that I did while I was there. Telling me how much soap, what machines to use, and how much to put in. I'm 30 years old and I'm more than capable of doing my own laundry. I ended up having to spend a ton because she wouldnt stop hovering over me while I loaded the machines. She also stalks all the machines and was pulling people's clothes out of the dryers. I have never experienced anything like this. Also the floors were filthy. She needs to focus on cleaning her business instead of how the customers clean their clothes. I kept my cool and had to leave with loads of wet clothes to take somewhere else because I'm not letting some old bag take it upon herself and touch my clothes because she decided that there done. Also I didnt want to give her anymore of my money. Absolutley horrible place and I really hope they go out of business. This was the most awful laundromat experience in my life. I understand there are rules in place to keep everything safe and clean, but the owner was beyond controlling. She was incredibly rude to us about my 3 year old counting coins as we put them into the machine. He was not playing but being apart of what we were doing. He was not unsupervised or causing any harm to her property. It's very clear that the owner does not want children in the laundromat. I've been coming here for a year now, every single Sunday, to wash no less than 4 loads I'd laundry for my family. In this time I've seen the owner refuse service to people that just need to dry their clothes. I've seen get make people with small children leave. She made a big deal about my 12 year olds son helping me. Today i went in with 4 loads of laundry and all of our bedding. I put our mattress cover in the largest washer she has and i put a blanket in another front loader washer. Both of these washers reset and didn't give, or spin cycle, leaving my loads soaked. When I told her she says "let me run the loads again and if they don't work I'll give you your money back." She did and they worked so she didn't refund my $9.50. She said it was my fault they didn't work and she gave me a bag and made me take my bedding and leave. I told her it was bad business to do this and that i wouldn't ever come back. So I have been coming to this laundromat sense 2012, This is the cleanest and reasonable price laundromat i know in Redding. Ive read everybody's comment and understand where everybody is coming from. I also got to know the female owner, Lyuba and how they became owners of the place and what it was like before they bought it. She can be tough but if you got to know her, you would understand why. She is actually a good woman and she is nice. She was gone for awhile and the male owner was working the mat and YES ive seen him yell at kids and is rude and mean to people, he even tried to tell me that im using too much laundry soap, i put him in his place, He lies and talks down to people, but HE IS NO LONGER THERE :) I just went to do my laundry Yesterday and saw Lyuba was back and i couldn't have been more happier. The thing about this mat is that it was never clean and was not well taken care of from what was told to me, people would come in and use drugs in the bathroom, and when Lyuba bought it they cleaned it up, that is why you need to ask for the key to use the restroom, for customers only and she makes sure of that. This is the only mat i know that there will always be somebody there, to make sure that people dont take advantage of the place and she dont have to be there.
