This…read moreis the first day of our trip and all of a sudden our AC started blowing hot air and then the battery light came on the dash. Knowing we didn't want to get stranded on the side of the road I yelped to find a local repair in the next town, which was about five minutes away. We exited 179 at Stroud to go to the location and found that it was closed. Fortunately, there was an auto parts store right next-door. Named bumper-to-bumper. And they told us there was a repair shop right around the corner, which we came right down the alley street to the repair shop was met by Chris the owner who was extremely friendly and helpful. He confirmed the diagnosis as a bad alternator by using a diagnostic electronic device, which is accurate and not just guessing it reads the codes on a vehicle by using the VIN number. Because the part wouldn't be available till the next morning, he referred us down the street to ozark RV park which only charged 45 bucks a night was extremely clean and the owners were great. We came back the next morning while waiting on the part and Chris was able to diagnose while my house batteries weren't working even though the batteries are good and the solenoid was good. It was a blown fuse, which would've taken forever for anybody else to notice so now I might not only is my engine running the way it should but also my RV batteries are functioning. I can't thank them enough because they made a disastrous situation actually kind of fun and engaging and we would come back this way just to visit with them. Please don't hesitate if you have any mechanical need to give them a call.
