Never Again: Why I'm Done With Ford…read more Never again will I drive a vehicle that needs to be Fixed Or Repaired Daily. I've owned three Ford vehicles. My first was a 2008 Expedition, purchased through military sales while stationed in Korea--zero issues. It gave me confidence in the brand. But everything went downhill from there. My second Ford was a 2015 F-150 Platinum. While driving on cruise control back to Ft. Sam Houston, Texas, the truck suddenly slammed on the brakes--as if something were in the road. There wasn't. It scared the hell out of me. When I took it to a Ford dealer in San Antonio, I was told that the recall for this issue had "already been completed," and they refused to fix it. I traded that truck in as-is for a Chevy and moved on. Unfortunately, my next mistake was buying a used 2017 F-150 Limited from Patriot Auto Group in Chandler, Oklahoma. Let me be clear: do not buy a used vehicle from them. Either they knowingly sold me a flood-damaged vehicle, or they were too careless to realize what they had. I thought I was getting a good deal. I was wrong. The truck's driver-side running board wouldn't function properly--it took eight weeks and a call to one of the owners just to get aftermarket replacements installed. Then the real nightmare began. While driving, all the electronic systems--warning lights, headlights, turn signals, radio--would flash erratically. The horn quit working. The engine would randomly shut off while I was on the road. All I could do was coast to a stop and pray it was somewhere safe. I took the truck to Bill Knight Ford. They charged me over $4,000 to fix it. They claimed some kind of leak had caused electrical damage. After two and a half weeks, the exact same issue returned. When I brought it back, I was told it would cost another $11,000 to fix it. When I questioned how I'd already paid them to fix this exact problem, they said they'd "discount the $11,000 by what I'd already paid." That's not a discount--that's charging twice for one repair. I contacted Progressive to file a claim. They told me the truck wasn't covered because I bought my policy in Texas and the repairs were in Oklahoma. They also casually mentioned that the windshield had been replaced--a clue that there was prior damage not disclosed to me. I still have the truck, and I fully intend to sell it as is, just like I did with the 2015 Platinum. And if someone ends up getting injured due to this vehicle's faults, I'll sleep just fine. I have documentation showing I tried to fix it and that Ford failed me at every turn. Bottom line: Ford, your trucks aren't just unreliable--they're dangerous. You lost a loyal customer. And to Patriot Auto and Bill Knight Ford: shame on you for your dishonesty and failure to stand behind your work. This F-150 may be Found On Road Dead, but this time, it won't be my problem.

I will reposting this again and adding to yelp since the owner thinks that responding with an…read moreexcuse is okay, This was, without question, the worst car-buying experience I have ever had. I was quoted $31,500 for a used Jeep through text messages from Chandler Dealership. I told them I was leaving for Japan for two weeks and would come see the vehicle when I returned. When I got back, despite having the messages showing the agreed-upon price, they suddenly raised it to $33,609. The Jeep sat on their lot the entire time, yet somehow the price increased by over $2,000. That is completely ridiculous. I then drove 3.5 hours from Fort Worth, Texas, for a scheduled appointment, only to arrive and be told the Jeep had a bad battery and wasn't even ready to be shown. How does a dealership schedule an appointment and not even have the vehicle ready? I waited over two hours before I could finally see it. Even after they supposedly addressed the battery issue, there was still a warning light illuminated on the dashboard. Instead of taking my concerns seriously, I was treated like I was ignorant for asking questions. The entire interaction felt condescending and disrespectful. What really pushed this experience over the edge was being told they wouldn't honor their own quoted price because I "should have accepted it over text" before leaving for Japan. What kind of logic is that? Why would anyone agree to buy a used vehicle they have never seen in person or test-driven? Expecting someone to commit tens of thousands of dollars sight unseen is absurd. The dealership also refused to provide a second key. Not negotiate. Not discuss it. Just flat-out "no." Then, after everything else, they wouldn't even fill the gas tank. After wasting an entire day, driving seven hours round trip, waiting hours because the vehicle wasn't ready, and dealing with a price increase of over $2,000, the best they could offer was half a tank of gas. This dealership wasted my time, insulted my intelligence, failed to honor the price they quoted me, and delivered customer service that was shockingly poor from start to finish. I've purchased vehicles before and have never been treated with such disrespect. I will never buy another vehicle from Chandler Dealership. I will never recommend them to family, friends, coworkers, or anyone else. This is how they treat their paying customers. Avoid this dealership PLEASE. (And to the owner: if you think anyone would accept an offer and place a deposit on a vehicle to hold the price before they have even seen it is in anyway okay your ridiculous, also the fact you made a comment ONLY on the pricing issue and not the rest of the issues, such as not even a full tank of gas, no second key, a light STILL on the dash, and making a customer wait 2 hours on a "bad battery" that should have been fixed before i even arrived with a full 24hour notice, as well as your own staff members including yourself talking to me disrespectfully and insultingly you are by far the worst business man i have ever had the displeasure of dealing with.)
