Just left this location. Went to location to ask if they support the best of both, would be ideal since they are about a block away. Unfortunately, they do not. They want me to sit with a consultant and pay them $50 and hour to enter data into the program that is different in the office than the one online. Two things about H&R block in general, 1. if you find the right consultant, you get great advice. 2. They very much mislead on their "best of both worlds" advertising. The local outlets don't want to accept them because they don't make enough $ on it. Basically misleading advertising.
On this location, after I mentioned the above to the reception in frustration and left, the office manager Paul A Locke, came out as I was walking away and started yelling at my back that "I shouldn't yell at his office manager". I couldn't believe how incompetent this was. I was not longer in his business, he just confronted me on the sidewalk, he was not interested in any way in the concept of the "customer is always right." I would have loved if he walked out and said "I can see you're frustrated with HR Block, I loved to help you". He did the exact opposite. He judged that I was yelling, which I in now way was not, and he refused to listen when I told him that he was judging me for something I didn't do. He spent all the time talking and couldn't stop and just listen which is what anyone who is familiar with basic customer service would know is their role. I suggest anyone stay away from this office and avoid this dysfunctional manager. read more
