It's really out of date and is always crowded. Why do none of the HEB's around here have self check out? Out of the handful of times that I've been here I've seen grown adults running around the store acting like children, screaming and yelling and just causing a scene. I've always liked HEB, but this store has been going down hill for a while now.It needs to be completely redone and expanded into an HEB Plus. Then get some new management in this store. The produce department is a mess. It seems like the produce department consists of potatoes, peppers, apples, oranges, and a bunch of packaged stuff. They don't have near the selection that they used to have, and the organic section is all of about 2 feet. The selves aren't kept stocked up. And very often I've been looking for an item that I always purchase here and they no longer carry it. I wish we could get some other food chains in this area. HEB has run off all the competition in this area. There used to be several grocery stores to choose from. read more

I used like this heb cuz it was closed to my house. The managers are a-holes accusing me of stealing only cuz I put the groceries and stuff which I paid for in bags I bring in into the store I will never come back to this heb I will go elsewhere for groceries. If I could I would rate this store zero stars tired of being harassed and accuse of stealing by those managers there. read more

HEB is one of the greatest memories I had of Texas, when I lived here a while back. When we got here and wanted to stock our house in HH. I explained to my husband that we should go to HEB instead of Walmart, being a city dweller from LA he didn't understand my love for this smaller yet better store. Because he loved the Walmart and the commissary he was resistant until he came to realize that HEB had the same or better items for the less cost. I explained to him about our proximity to the Mexican border and that HEB gets a lot of their fresh produce that is out of season here from there. I said do you remember how good, your mothers fruits are in LA and that sold him on HEB. read more

I personally love heb. but now that I live in Harker Heights I really miss the Belton store Harker Heights has good options in the freezer and meat sections: but when it comes to lettuce the romaine and green leaf are always nasty looking you have to buy the more expensive brand because is cleaner and fresher looking read more

I refuse to shop at Walmart so it's always HEB. This one just seems forgotten about. Items are scattered almost randomly through out the store. After find a selection of 3 different types of bacon, I asked an employee of that's all they had, he said no and attempted to show me where I could find more. It took an employee 10 minutes to find the other section of bacon. Their seafood department was pretty much out of everything. The only things nice I had to say is the staff was polite and apologetic & they have a small gas station up front that has cheap gas, if you don't burn too much waiting in line. I'd rather drive to the one in Belton. read more

We shop here a lot because it is close to our home. It seems like they are out of things a lot when we go there. The people are usually very friendly but not impressed with the store itself. When we have a bigger list we either go to the Belton HEB or to the commissary. read more

One of my favorite stores. It's very convenient that it's close to our home in Harker Heights. Buying grocery here is very cheap and they also sell stuff like gift baskets for any occasion, and sushi. Lots of choices for their wine as well. They also have a lot of parking so it should never be a problem. The coworkers are very nice as well, just wish sometimes they were attentive when bagging our groceries. Today we went and I ended up bagging my own groceries but whatever. I still love H-E-B in Harker Heights -- second best to the H-E-B in Killeen. read more

I just love HEB, and miss it terribly since we moved up to the Dallas area. This particular HEB is well laid out and has a nice cozy feeling. Not that it's too small or anything, you will just feel very comfortable shopping here, know what I mean? Great fresh sushi, friendly enough employees and a great wine selection as well. read more

Favorite local grocery store.. Family prefers the meat selection and bakery from HEB. I try to avoid shopping on the weekends because the crowds can be tough. Service is good and employees are polite and helpful. read more

Out of the three HEBs in the area this has the best staff and meat selection. The building is always clean.

My business was having a going away party for one of our long time employees and I needed a cake. I was trying not to have to go into the store, so I went on line to order. After filling out all necessary areas to order, I was informed that the cake would be ready at 4:00pm the next day.. well, I needed it by noon. So I called the store and was connected with Sue in the bakery. I explained what I wanted (from the website). Sue asked me to take a photo of the cake from the site, and send it to her via her personal cell, and I did. Unfortunately, the cake that I chose was unavailable at the store, so she asked me to call her on the store line and discuss what I wanted so she could see what she could do to get me a cake. After a few back and forths, we decided on a cake, cake colors and filling. I picked it up this morning and it was a hit with our employee. Sue went out of her way to make sure I was happy and got the cake that worked for me. This was a very important event, and the cake was a hit! Thank you Sue, and HEB in Harker Heights, Tx! read more

we always shop at this HEB and we like it for its convenience! but today as we were checking out in aisle 10 my daughter's right arm got scrapped from the thingy that hold the individual candies and gums! where the price thingy is was sticking out really bad...we told the cashiers and their store manager Scott came and got a statement from us...saw the scraps and said if something comes up call us! I immediately sprayed antibacterial spray on the scraps so hopefully nothing 'comes up'! they were apologetic! they took care of the thingy that was sticking out but my question is shouldn't it have been taken care of before? shouldn't they have checked the aisle before customers checked out? read more
