This store has it all and makes all other grocery stores seem inadequate. Anything you can dream up to buy, this store has it and probably 10 different versions of it for you to choose from. Besides the huge selection of groceries, there is also a pharmacy, bank, nail salon, juice bar, and RediClinic attached. Talk about your one stop shop! Only downside here is because the store is so great, it is always packed to the gills. The parking here is a circus - be very cautious in the parking lot because people are driving like crazy to try and get a spot. read more

I am not one to leave poor reviews for any type of business but what I'm experiencing with curbside delivery right now is beyond me. As someone who is extremely busy, I use curbside whenever I'm trying to save time by not having to go into the grocery store. First of all, it took 20 MINUTES just to even get through the line of cars to make it to a curbside spot. It was poorly set up with cars trying to sneak in and cut in front of others since traffic was trying to enter this line from 3 different directions. I finally made it to a spot, texted the number, and have now been waiting for 30 minutes for someone to bring my order to my car. 50 minutes total now and still counting.. It would have just been faster to park and go inside to buy everything instead. I'm not lazy and don't mind doing it but the purpose of curbside is to be faster/more efficient for the customers. This definitely isn't and I'm super disappointed in H‑E‑B. Not sure if they're just completely short staffed or what but to have to wait almost an hour now for groceries I've already paid for is insane. read more

Ordered a full size sheet cake. The lady told me she could not change the color of an image I found. A lady text me and told me the image wasn't coming out clear, they were having issues with the machine. She gave me 30 minutes notice. I asked for flowers in the corner of the cake, no flowers. I asked for a matching trim on the cake to the image she could put on. The icing does not match at all. When I came to pick it up, I was told no when I asked if I could use their cart to carry the cake out. A full size sheet cake is heavy. zero customer service in the bakery department. I did get a discount on this cake. But very disappointed. read more

Very, very congested and busy location but this location and the one in the Heights are my go to spots. This store has pretty much everything and is very comprehensive; no issues getting your grocery list done. They have a lot of registers and checking out is pretty quick. Although this is one of my favorite HEBs in the area the parking is an absolute headache and ridiculous. I dread driving through here and usually only stop if it's along the way home (there is one closer to me). It takes forever to find somewhere to park, people will stop in the MIDDLE of the road to wait for people to leave so they can take their spot and not care that they are blocking other cars to go around or move, then the people walking out the stores walk out like blind mice and could care less if you hit them or not. I know there is nothing that can be done with the limited parking but there should be some sort of direction when it comes to parking, besides the cones that block you from making several turns. read more

Great cakes at the local HEB bakery. For the past 4 years, whenever I need a cake, I go to HEB to order. There's no more need for me to get a French/ specialty bakery to make a cake for a party/ bday any more. Totally budget friendly and great for family parties. My kids have been getting cakes from HEB for the past years after the grandparents stopped ordering the cakes for them. It's a fraction of the cost compared to Asian/ French bakeries. (Of course it won't taste the same and will be much sweeter...but if y'all aren't too picky...under $50 for a half-sheet for over 40 people if you cut in little squares is a great deal!) Do y'all know they even do special events like weddings? My parents probably won't approve of grocery store cakes for a wedding, but if I ever do a second one...lol I'd do an HEB cake, go to the beach- in flip flops, cut off shorts and a white t-shirt with a call it a day! There'd be lots less stress if it's not fancy or complicated planning. You can even get a second back up cake in case your clumsy like me and might squish your cake or drop it. Company (the people you are with) is what matters, not the cake,etc. It's just good to have a cake for occasions even if it won't be eaten. I was supposed to be on a low carb, low sugar diet. I ate so many portions of this carrot cake! And everyone left with some take home cake. read more

I'm so over H-E-B, I've been shopping there for most of my life & it's so disgusting to see them become the GROCERY MAFIA! Ever since Scott McClelland left there has been a steady decline. They used Covid as an excuse to flood the shelves with their own brands pushing out most of our old & trusted brands. Just check their website home page, they show nothing but their products. They put profits above all even though they make ridiculous amounts of money every single day. It's crazy to shop a store that size & then go to Kroger to buy your favorite brands. I recently heard a woman talking to the cashier while checking out, she said "please tell your manager that we shoppers still like our favorite brands" so it's not just me! The cashier said "they instruct us to tell customers to go online with their complaints". Not surprised. read more

We frequent 2 locations in the Klein/Spring area, Kleinwood, and Gosling/2920. Both good stores, though Gosling has a better produce, seafood and meat sections. Being newer and larger, Gosling is easier to get around. And you are more likely to find the upscale things, like Mi Tienda fajitas, smokeable turkey breasts, and Wagyu beef. Some criticisms are correct in that store brands have tended to crowd other brands off the shelf. But overall, I think these two stores have done an excellent job serving the community. read more

this h-e-b is a good size with busy parking lot. the layout is pretty nice and friendly employees.

As crazy as this store is at all times of the day, they had to rearrange the entire frozen section and the shelved items.. which leads to so much searching and back tracking. Not to mention that you will not be the only individual doing this so watch out for the other lost sloes running aimlessly with the medal modern day jousting cart possibly along with a toddler in tow to add a extra 30 pounds to the impact to your Achilles' tendon. They have however have done a good job directing the check out line process, they could use a few more employees to the self check outs to help the older crowd. The prices have sort of stayed the same for now. Just don't expect to spend less then 20/30 minutes "running" in for the basics. read more

I love HEB, particularly this one (their meat and seafood selection is outstanding - quality is awesome). Today Damien went above and beyond the call of duty to help me. My flight had been canceled, and his big help meant I'll have food to eat during this "polar vortex" or winter storm (the house here had no food in it). The sleet/snow started as I left the store - and I got home safely with the food that will get me through the next 2 days (whole city is likely to be shut down). He is so understanding and willing to help people - as are all the workers here. Customer service is awesome at this place. Security officer Al Picar or Pizar (sorry I didn't hear his name all that well) was also great and helped me a ton. I seriously don't know how the other grocery stores stay in business: they don't hold a candle to HEB. HEB is not "corporate America" - it is old-timey-good - the customer is still respected here - and they genuinely want to help people. Thank God! read more

Nice big HEB in Housotn that was a bit of a walk from the hotel on the other side of I-10 but worth it. The Central Market Jalapeno Cheddar popcorn was a great find, and learned about mushroom-style versus butterly-style...the mushroom-style rules! And it's what's used in the famous Garrett popcorn too. Glad to see the plain Stonyfield whole milk yogurt here, which a lot of supermarkets have stopped carrying. read more

Very disappointed. HEB on I-10 @ Bunker Hill in Houston, put up cones to change access into curbside pickup area. Did not realize it until after we turned in, so we carefully waited until clear then went around. At that point we were approached by the rent a cop who instructed us to back up and go around - not safe to back up and we had already told him we would comply next time. I told him we would be talking to the manager and he told me we were being recorded - like I was about to cuss him! Spoke to the manager who was just full of meaningless platitudes. HEB MUST MANAGE THEIR PARKING, but it is very disappointing to be insulted in the mismanagement process. read more

Let me say first that I love HEB & the pharmacy. The pharmacy staff & pharmacist attempted to be helpful with my situation, but can only follow the set procedures. I am a senior citizen that has vertigo so bad today and worsened this afternoon to the extent that if I bend over my head spins & fortunately I caught myself before I fell. Head spins when sitting on sofa, but fortunately, not as bad. Haven't eaten today. I was able to get a message to my doctor to get a prescription called in. I prepaid & discovered a third party delivery service as a cut off of 2 pm & doesn't make deliveries till afternoon after the 2 pm cut off. Here I am after 5 pm &I am unable to drive due to the vertigo per my physician. There is no one close that is able to pick it up, so it may be well over 24 hours before I can obtain the prescriptions. Uber is not allowed to pick up. My prescriptions aren't controlled substances. I have to be in the car & I'm not sure even if I can get dressed or if I can get to their vehicle without falling. I will be contacting HEB Corporate Offices tomorrow to discuss why they don't have a backup plan for anyone in my situation. I could call the pharmacy & let them know who the Uber driver is & give my DOB, etc. Do not want to give to the driver. Another solution is they have another delivery service that could be available on demand to make deliveries for clients after the cut off on the same day. My generation. It's ok to cost more as any 'after hours' service would. The baby boomers, are a huge portion of the population & as a group control a large portion of the assets. We are a group to be reckoned with. This could also happen to a parent alone with a very sick child that should not be leaving home. Also anyone that had no one close by to assist if they aren't able to drive or be a passenger. Let me also say I imagine it is the same with other pharmacies. Here is a niche business opportunity for someone to consider. So tonight, I have to come up with something or be miserable for at least 24 hours or perhaps longer. This is the only situation I've had with HEB. I'll still use HEB for the pharmacy & it's my main grocery store. Just disappointed about this particular situation. read more

I've never had a bad experience at H-E-B. While this was not my first time at this location I have never left a review (honestly just forgot). Today however was my first time using curbside delivery and I am hooked! I just assumes there was going to be some ridiculous fee tacked on to an already expensive grocery bill but I was so wrong! There was only a $4.95 personal shopper fee added to your bill, which in my opinion is not much at all. I often go to the grocery store and overspend buying $20-30 dollars of extra stuff I do not need, so $5 was worth avoiding all of that including fighting the parking and the lines! I arrived during the time a lot I had designated and texted my parking spot to the number given and in less than 5 minutes my groceries were brought out! Celeste was absolutely amazing and kind and I asked a few questions and she answered them and even gave me the days I should avoid due to the high volume of customers (Sun/Mon). This was such a pleasant experience, and I personally think it saved me money!anytime I have 15+ items I will just do curbside! read more

This location is great. Great variety of foods. I like how clean and organized it is. All the workers are helpful and respectful. I like how parking is constantly patrolled by security(feels safe). Floor plan makes it easy to access the different areas of store easily. Recently, I walked in looking for an item and Isabel (from maintenance dept.) went out of her way to help me find the item. I told her to just point me in the direction but she proceeded to walk with me to get what I needed. She was so sweet. I'm sure she does hard work all shift yet makes sure clients are helped. Normally an enjoyable experience grocery shopping. Able to find all sorts of goodies. Usually entering the parking lot is a problem at light and consumers run over you but staff is amazing, normally. My, cashier, Twyla S., is the reason for the low review today. Entering her express lane while she was finishing with her 1 consumer, she said, "uh sir! This is express!" Having a small shopping cart with some items in the top basket and a case of bottled water in lower basket I was caught off guard. Twyla then proceeded to count my items from behind the register while handing the previous consumer his receipt and allowing me to place my items on belt while rolling her eyes. She rapidly scanned and tossed my items down to the bagging section where I bagged them myself. No thank you, nothing. As I put my items in the basket to wheel out I heard the consumer behind me say, I know I have less then 15 items so don't yell at me. Twyla replied, "excuse me!" while rolling her eyes. If you shop at this location and stumble upon Twyla, go to another check out lane. She has horrible customer service. read more

I will never go to this H‑E‑B again. It's not worth fighting the crowds in the store, getting yelled at and threatened in the parking lot over spaces, and the extremely long checkout lines. The other shoppers are extremely rude and unfriendly making this a very stressful grocery shopping environment. The one on San Felipe is much better or just go to Randall's for a relaxing trip. It's worth the extra few dollars to not be harassed in the parking lot. read more
