Pink Pineapple. I wanted to try it, but it was $8.99. Pass. They cut tops off so nobody can grow them.

I like this store. First stop is Tour de Jour for a Cranberry Scone. Delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I just wish this bakery was larger, however.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Took a Milk Bread home. I went for meats. Can't beat the prices although they went up some. Still worth the drive to save any amount of money these days. When you shop, know you will not all you need here such as milk at price you can afford, cookies as in USA brands, canned goods. It is an Asian market where you can get all you need for that culture and cuisine. I love shopping there. A elderly woman insisted on helping me with a watermelon. She saw my PICC Line and even though I said I was OK, she wanted to help. Very nice because I didn't really need help. The staff are very helpful all through out the entire store.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This is the smallest H-Mart I've been to and I kinda love that about it ![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Parking: They have plenty of parking since it's in a shopping center Food selection: They have all the usual HMart items but somehow paired down a bit. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is a bit of crowding but not too bad.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They do still have the housewares section, fish counters, etc. Other shops: There are several restaurants in here, a bakery, makeup shop, etc. [[HIGHLIGHT]]the bathroom is not the best but there is one to use if needed[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

So glad that I stopped by after work midweek. Super easy to park and get a basket filled with fresh Asian produce and vegetarian Kimbap. Such a great selection of vegetables at this Super H-Mart. Baby bok choy. Eggplant. Choy sum. Bean sprouts. Onions. Napa cabbage. Water spinach. Mushrooms. Great for soup on a rainy day. So many mushrooms. Enoki. Shitake. Wood ear. Chestnut. Oyster. King oyster. High in fiber. Delicious in soups and stir fry. So good for you. Lots of Vietnamese snacks. Gimbap. Candies. A fresh bakery. Check out the specials at the food court. Nice to get an order of vegetarian gimbap that was made as a special order. Cooked rice with vegetables and egg rolled in gim, dried seaweed, and cut into bite sized pieces. A delicious Korean dish served with some yellow pickled radish. A great place to pick up treats, especially during HAPI month.

Love this H Mart! I have not been to the Bellaire location yet so I don't have grounds for comparison. I can only compare it to other H Marts in different cities as well as different Asian grocery stores (like 99 Ranch). Either way, I was impressed by this location. It was very clean, no messes or funky smells. Everything seemed super fresh and well-stocked. Great produce department. Lots of options. Found some beni imo (or Okinawan sweet potato aka Hawaiian sweet potato). It was popularized by the Netflix Blue Zones documentary. My first time trying it so I chopped it up and air fried it with some olive oil. Delicious! Always excited by H Mart's amazing mushroom selection. I make a medley with all different types -- so yummy! The meat and seafood departments were very clean and organized too. Got some filet mignon and mackerel at very reasonable prices. Lots of awesome frozen items. Obsessed with the kimchi mandu (dumplings) that we found here. The food court was pretty good although the restaurants seemed a bit redundant. Lots of Korean bowls like bibimbap. I did have Korean fried chicken from ToreOre and it was pretty damn delicious. It takes 15 minutes to prepare, FYI. The food court bathroom was the one place that was not clean. One of the toilets was out of commission since it had unflushed poo (not sure if it was not flushing or the person just didn't care to try). Another toilet was full of pee/toilet paper since the handle was broken and it wasn't flushing. That only left one functional toilet. This was in the early afternoon too. Could definitely improve on the bathroom front.

I remember how much I loved Super HMart at Blalock years ago. There is always traffic to get here and there is always trouble to find parking on weekends. My recent visit was only to stuck in traffic due to roadway construction. After walked in to the store, I immediately felt welcomed by the fresh produce. I overlooked those food vendors on purpose because I just had a big lunch. I remember how much I loved to take break at those restaurants when I worked in an office nearby prior to Covid pandemic. The prices are fairly reasonable and comparable to other Asian grocery stores. I just don't understand why there was no Korean candies in this HMart. I could find them at the Bellaire HMart, though. I went through the entire snack aisles, over and over and gave up.

This is a large Asian grocery store located just a few blocks north of I-10, with plenty of parking in the front. As expected, the produce and seafood selections are outstanding, and there are half a dozen food court style restaurants for on-site meals.

Ask the Community - H Mart - Houston

What brand of rice do they sell here?

The usual CalRose stuff (Hinode) and some upscale Japan and Korean brands

Do they sell various flavors of soju and 6 packs of it?

    Yes. Good selection.

What are the food court hours?

It varies per food venfor. However, most are open during H-Mart hours.

    Is there Kpop merchandise there?

    Yes

    When will they sell uni?

They are selling Uni right now.

    Do they have Kimmari?

Yes, in the frozen department with all the dumplings.

Does this market sell a lot of Japanese products?

Well, since this is a Korean SuperMarket, I'm assuming that most of their products are Korean; with a mixture of some Japanese products. I honestly love everything they have there; regardless if the product is Korean or Japanese.

Will they steam live lobsters for you after you buy them?

I am not sure, but that would be awesome! Calll and ask them and let us know.

I mean my pocket book is probably better for it because I want to buy the whole store but honestly I've been missing out. The place is cute and welcoming from the corner sign on the building to the moment you step in- bright, inviting, great displays so you know where to go. You can't get lost in here with the signage, but you can't definitely get lost in the aisles with all the great, unique choices. The ready food display has so many Mediterranean treats, some I've had before some I've never heard of and everything I tried was amazing. We got the cabbage rolls and Armenian veggie dolmas. Great flavor, both specific items I haven't had before. Nice citrus, spiced flavor to these. I'd say they're have to try items. Not only found jarred tomato paste, which I've been on the hunt for but they had choices in this category and that's another first for me. Will have to go back and try the others. Also got the cured Serrano ham -amazing. And I thought the prices were going to be insane having a spot right in the middle of the city and nope- pleasantly surprised for my goodies, great prices even less than some of the other stores I frequent in the suburbs. I'll be back again and again and again until I try the whole store lol. Definitely give them a try, you won't regret it

I know it seems backwards, but you're way less likely to get approached by someone asking you to buy them something. For the record, the store doesn't feel unsafe--homeless unsafe--but sometimes, you just want to grab your groceries in peace. Now, something that never fails to annoy me: one of the entrance doors is always locked. Every time. So you're forced to walk around to the main entrance. Minor, but annoying. Thankfully, the elevators from the garage always work, so silver lining there if you park downstairs. Today I was reminded of another classic Randall's feature: the smell. I stopped in on my bike to grab some veggies and, like clockwork, was hit with that signature aroma, somewhere between a porta-potty and a city park at noon in July. I think it was coming from outside this time... but I've definitely caught a whiff inside before too. Is it overpriced? Yes. Is it so conveniently located that I keep coming back anyway? Also yes. To be fair, the prepared food section and the bread game are on point. If carbs are a love language, this place is fluent. Bonus points: they've added EV charging for our green-driving friends. But I think they shrank some of the parking spots. I watched a jacked-up truck on stilts struggle to park in a handicap space. Waiting for the driver to hop out onto the hood of the next car over.

Big mistake. First off, I get that Houston was bracing for a snowstorm (crazy, I know), so I wasn't shocked that a lot of my requested items were out of stock. Fine, not their fault. But what was their fault? Not actually giving me half of the things I did manage to order! I got home, excited for my stash of groceries, only to realize I had basically made a charitable donation to HEB. No cheese. No sour cream. No coffee. NO MAPLE SYRUP. The donuts? Trash. The beautiful trees in the parking area makes shopping here feel like such an outing. But my most recent visit let me down supremely, while trying to shop for a surprise. The last time a woman came by and seemed as if she worked there, relieved I approached her and she stopped abruptly and asked if I needed help. I told her yes if she could help me with some balloons, I remarked I had been waiting over 20 minutes and she rolled her eyes at me and in a strong tone said" I am trying to help you " I reinforced that I was not trying to be disrespectful. I just needed assistance. Still proceeded to wait, then a gentleman named Chris came to the flower area and assisted me with the balloons finally. By then it was almost 40 minute mark. Subject: Complaint Regarding Inconsistent Treatment During Tote Bag Purchase at Trader Joe's…read moreAlabama Theatre I arrived at 7:15 AM and waited over 30 minutes in line for the recent tote bag release. After making a purchase, my mother who had just traveled internationally for nearly 24 hours to visit me wanted to buy another bag as a gift for friends back home. We waited in line again, but the cashier refused the sale because they recognized us from our earlier purchase. However, we saw other customers rejoin the line and purchase additional bags without issue. There were no signs explaining this policy, and it appeared to be enforced only against us. As Asian customers, this left us feeling singled out and questioning whether discrimination played a role in how we were treated. What made the experience even more upsetting was the way we were spoken to. The employee's attitude felt rude and accusatory, as if we were doing something wrong or trying to steal, when we had simply followed the same process as other customers and spent a significant amount of money in the store. We left feeling embarrassed, upset, and unwelcome. I would appreciate an explanation as to why the policy was applied differently to us than to other customers.
