The produce section has such a great selection of fruits and vegetables and you must always look for the bargains. Last week, Muscat Grapes were $14.99 but $7.99 with a $50 order. This week, they were just $9.99, grown in Peru. They are certainly delicious. The ready to eat section is the best. Vast selection to choose from. Had problems with my Smart Savings Card but the Service Desk closed earlier than the posted hours. What a shame. What about customers who can't come except the evenings? Ok, bye.

Super crowded busy store. Stopped in to get some treats that a friend requested. Many items from all over. Parking isn't bad. Also be mindful of the dates in the packaging, I found a few things expired. Be sure to bring your own bag for checking out!

The H-Mart in my neighborhood in Portland doesn't hold a candle to this location in SoCal. The food court here is almost the same size as my whole store and the selections are excellent. And the market itself if full-sized with all of the options you'd expect from a well-established Asian grocery.

Review #849 2025-021 This H Mart took over OSH (Orchard Supply Hardware) almost 10 years ago, & I missed that home improvement & gardening store. Although I'm not usually out this way, I used to stop by after my grocery run at Sprouts (they're both located in Vista Plaza). My preferred Korean market was S-Mart (now defunct), mainly because of distance & prices. H Mart's run quite a bit higher & I need a cooler for the meats & other proteins, especially during the summer. I usually see staff stocking the various sections & aisles. The aisles are spacious enough to allow 2 carts to pass. The produce section is especially fresh! I have yet to find old, moldy fruits or veggies. My recent/post COVID-19 trips discovered unique fruits like Tropical Bliss Strawberries, Rosé Raspberries, pink pineapple. Wowza!! And boy are these juicy & sweet!! I've been going out of my way to stock up every couple of days when they are in stock. You pay a little more, but I don't mind because I can't find these in stock anywhere, including the farmer's market. The last few new Asian supermarkets in the South Bay are not standalone markets; they also house restaurants &/or bakery, & H Mart includes: Paik's Noodle, bb*q Chicken, Hansol, Tous Les Jours, Kiraku Japanese Ramen & Sushi. The cashiers are friendly & helpful, I didn't have to bag my own groceries (this was a thing during COVID-19 lockdown & some still have you bag your own groceries). Don't forget to sign-up for their free loyalty program. I'm not sure if there's a lot of discounts offered... hey, it's at least something. The entrance is strange, & you're directed to enter from the left side because the nearest door to the parking lot is actually an exit. Sometimes I forget & enter the wrong way & puff my way over to the left. You do have to watch yourself crossing to the market because it's near the street exit & some patrons drive fast coming in. Yikes! I probably would shop more frequently at H Mart if they were a little closer. You'll definitely find me here in mid-spring to early summer when my fav rare fruits are in season! ;-)

On a Saturday morning in August, I was in the area and decided to check out hmart. I haven't been here since they opened one in Arcadia. The layout is different in which the main entrance is on the left to side door. The food court and bakery are at the exit door. I was able to find some items that were on sale. The items are well stocked.

Though hmart still has one of the best selections for a Japanese market in the South Bay Area, it was very understaffed this morning... checking out lines were very backed up and most registers were closed.

I was impressed by the selection of very beautiful organized sliced fresh fruit. They were preparing fresh sushi in the fish section. Very clean store. There is a bakery also serving fresh baked good ranging from cakes to breads. We came early so the 3 food courts restaurants were not open yet.

A great spot with a convenient food court inside. I love the combination of a grocery store and dining options all in one place.

My hubby had been wanting to check out this store so we stopped by a few days ago when in the area. It is pretty organized, many things (kinda overwhelming), produce is very fresh, staff doesn't look too happy to help with questions, but I really enjoyed of the snacks/treats I got. The lady that helped me choose the cheese/ham bread at the coffee shop when we were leaving, was kind and helpful, the most cheerful person I encountered at the store. I would be back, there were some treats, & teas I got that I'd wanna repurchase but probably check out a different location!

I come here once a week to shop for myself and my elderly parents. I usually am rushed a do not have much time as my parents are alone at home. Last week Sunday, I noticed that they had installed some new security system on each entry and exit door at first it is not noticeable except that the lotto machines are enclosed now and hard to get to. I didn't think much of it at first. As I started shopping, I kept hearing the alarms go off very loudly throughout the store. It was annoying and hard to shop and concentrate on what I was getting, etc. The peaceful Store I knew was no longer peaceful. I finally made it to the cash register with my groceries. I usually spend over $ 300-400 here. As I started to reach the exit doors, I realized I couldn't play my lotto that I get for my parents the machine was closed off by metal bars. I was told to go around and enter again with my cart so I did .. I got my lotto ticket and proceeded to go back out where I came through because again the doors are enclosed so I couldn't go through the exit door because I couldnt it is blocked off the alarms went off and was told to make a U-turn and go through the store and out the exit door. I was approached by the manager that is always very unfriendly and seems to hate his job because he walks around like a zombie with no emotion and no expression and never greets anyone in the store that I've noticed throughout the years Ive gone there ... I was followed by him, but he never said a word to me. I then said to him what is the best way to get out of here he said through the self checkout, but I noticed the self checkout was packed with people in line. He then asked me what aisle did I purchase my items through and I said aisle nine I found an aisle that was empty and went through there to get to the exit door as I went through the exit door my cart wheels locked. I was treated like a thief and felt so embarrassed and betrayed by the Store that knows me for years and years . I was approached by one of the workers that used his remote to unlock my wheels. I'm sure the Manager locked my wheels as he didn't believe that I had paid for my items. I will not be coming back here. I felt that I was treated unfairly like a thief after so many years of coming to the store . I will take my Business else where . I will miss the workers as they are very kind, and always concerned about me and my Family.

You go in for what you know, and that already gets you caught up, but then you also want to try something new because there's always something new to try. Sometimes it's a gamble, sometimes it's amazing and you're like "OMG! I need this every time," and sometimes you're like "what was that?" And you really don't know what it was because the descriptions aren't in English. The staff is always super friendly. If you go for hot food during lunchtime, you will get caught up because you'll want to pile your plate high and forget they weigh it & you can easily end up with a $24 plate on top of all your groceries. They have great sweet treats that aren't super high in sugar, which is a plus. Their ramens are my favorite. I've probably tried every one. My favorite is the one with the black pieces in it (I think they're mushrooms). I still haven't tried the mushrooms, but the creamy broth mix is everything. Their sparkling sodas are always delicious. My favorite is the Hello Kitty strawberry one. I told all my friends about it, and me and my sister go regularly. My sister loves the banana milk! Definitely recommend!

The thing that's good about going to Tokyo central for premade sushi is that they make all their sushi fresh daily and what's not sold is marked down and got rid of before next day compared to other markets where they sell their sushi that's like 2-4 days old. They went viral for awhile for having a hot food bar, which looked like a buffet but in reality you grab what you want but it's $15.99 a pound. The pound adds up really quick and you end with paying like $30. The food isn't that great in the hot food bar in my option so I'd skip it. The market itself is very pricey it's not a cheap market. So if your planning on buying grocery your gonna pay high prices. I'd go here for a quick sushi roll or some mochi they sell a bag from Japan for $3.99 with red bean that's pretty good. One of my favorite food item is the umami chicken karage with rice that's pre packaged and if you can snag it while it's still hot that great. Its usually on a separate table on in the refrigerated section, It's the one with some teriyaki sauce over it, not the regular one. As you exit you can grab utensils, napkins, wasabi. ginger, soy sauce. Parking is a hit and miss, it's a popular market if you go there at lunch time it's packed or weekends. Personally I drop by to get a quick bite, sushi roll or chicken karage . They do have a food court that has a Japanese bakery, takoyaki , a katsu place. Upstairs they have a sushi bar which is unique I havnt tried it but seems a bit pricey but looks like quality. Looking for something Japanese in food wise, this would be one of the places to go to look for it. I don't know why it seems like every Asian market I've been to is so cramped and hardly any space when trying to get around with a cart. It's the same here.t
