Mostly Tuna and Salmon onigiris, some of them with mayo, some of them spicy. The one flavor I took this time that was a new one for us was Kimchi Onigiri. I had tried Kimchi Onigiri earlier this year from Market Ribbon and I absolutely loved it. This one from Kim's Mart wasn't bad but personally, I prefer the one from Market Ribbon. The flavor from that one tastes better somehow. The Onigiri here are better when purchased directly from the Zenya food stall in International Village, but for a quick, affordable and cold bite to eat on a hot summer's day, 2 for $3.98 is pretty hard to beat!

The cashier didn't even apologize for the inaccurate pricing, honour it, or seem to change the price tag. It might be still cheap, but I hate being lied to, so I didn't buy it. Not coming back again! They have interesting drinks and I often find fresh foods for lower than I might find them in a big box chain stores. They sell Blackball dessert drinks here but they've gone up slightly in price from what they used to be, so I decided to just grab a bottled drink that was on sale. I picked up something called Coconut Shake. Also came home with a lemon for 79 cents. Places like Superstore may have larger selection but their prices can be ridiculously high. I like these smaller markets that carry fresh foods for signficantly less than big box retailers. Service was good too. I accidentally left my keychain (with keys attached) at the cashier register. I was so happy and relieved when the lady from the cash register ran out and told me that I'd left my keys. So glad that my keys were noticed very quickly and that the lady was able to catch me before I ended up straying too far.

The inside is definitely bare bones and on the smaller side. However, it was full of customers. They're doing something right. They have Korean snacks and produce. Special mention to their dedicated kimchi and ready to eat food section, which have items like tteokbokki (starch roles in sauce) and kimbap. Oh so tasty. Another thing worth mentioning - they have sashimi grade fish, and as of the time of writing, it is much cheaper than T&T. My only real complaint is that the checkout area is set up rather poorly. I just saw a pile of people by the counters and assumed I was in the lineup. Turns out the lineup actually goes down the aisle that is closest to the wall. Pro tip. This place is definitely on my radar now. Will be back more often to empty my wallet. Recommended.

Some doorways between the sections would be nice. With that out of the way, there are 3 sections. Product, meat/aquarium (yes, aquarium), and dried goods. Pricing is in line with other places. The place is quite popular with locals, which tells you everything you need to know. As with other similar businesses, there is a hot food section as well. I picked up some takeout and it was mediocre. Does the job, but nothing special. I imagine this place serves the local market quite well. It's been a very long time since I last stepped foot in this place so maybe it's just my faulty memory, but it really did seem like they had expanded their offerings at this place. The fried foods were what really stood out for me. I don't recall this being here at all. It took a lot of restraint for me to not buy anything from here. Deep fried squid, deep fried vegetables, deep fried seaweed roll, tornado potato...etc. They all looked so tempting. I grabbed a couple boxes of Kimbap (One Burdock Kimbap and a Fried Gourd Kimbap) plus a Rice drink that was on sale for $1.99. They also had some Triangular Maki (Onigiri) for sale. No Vegetarian flavors. Tuna was the only flavor I could have eaten since I'm Pescatarian. I decided to stick with the Vegetarian Kimbaps though. Upon first glance, I thought the rice drink was made just from rice milk and that it would be dairy free. It was only when I got home that I read the ingredients label and realized that there was actually some milk in it. Not a problem for me, but for anyone who has lactose intolerance...be sure to check ingredient labels always. Anyways, this Rice drink was Sweet Potato flavored. Ever had a Sweet Potato flavored drink? I thought it sounded like a really interesting flavor, and of course...being on sale, that was extra incentive to try something new. The dessert and pastries section here are decent where you can find a whole cake for special occasions and pretty looking desserts and their hot foods section could consider adding more variety to its menu.
