I thought my wife's SUV had a bad a/c compressor, based on the fact that turning off the air reduced the clattering noise, so I took it to a local A/C shop. They called and told me that it was NOT the a/c, but probably something transmission related. I asked them for a recommendation, and they suggested H-P Transmission. I called them and explained what was going on, and they agreed to get the car in right away for inspection. They asked if we were going to bring it by or if we WANTED THEM TO PICK IT UP for us. What? Well, sure, of course that makes it easier for us. They picked it up later that day. By the middle of the next day, they had dropped the tranny (prior permission, of course) and found a cracked flexplate. They quoted me a price for replacement, which I approved. By the end of the next day, the vehicle was fixed and back on the road. What a professional, service-orientated organization. I gave a positive review for this shop 2 years ago because I thought they honestly fixed the issues I was having with my car. They got it to pass the smog test 2 years ago and all seemed well. Took my car to get smogged again and found out that the instrument that turns on the check engine light have been purposely broken. Since it's not a simple bulb, I am going to have to pay a new shop to repair the instrument as CA will never allow a car to pass a smog test with a broken light. Really disappointed in this shop. I been driving around this whole time thinking they fixed the issues. If you had work done here my suggestion is to check your code with a code reader to make sure that this doesn't happen to you. read more

Where can I start, the short answer is if you're debating, in a pickle, or looking at places to take your car bring it here, no questions no ifs or buts. David, his Father, his brothers gave me perhaps the best service ever especially considering the big project they undertook with my car. It's an older Chevy from 2004 a Monte Carlo SS, special to me it was my car in high school. It had developed some serious issues between power steering and me basically blowing up the transmission. I could not believe the efficiency of this place. If it wasn't for a hiccup along the way the transmission rebuild and all the extras I asked for while the car was taken apart (including radiator swap, full power steering replacement, upgraded sway bar install) would have been done in about 2 weeks. The hiccup wasn't even on them it was over a bad part I had bought! Even with that they STILL managed to wrap up the car in 3 weeks and that counts the extra time it took me to pick it up for work reasons. The peace of mind these guys have, the willingness to problem solve quick and show in depth what they are doing with your car great updates and feedback is why if I ever need to go to a transmission place these are the guys! Not only do these guys rebuild transmissions but they use oem parts and do upgrades! If they know or have seen potential faults on certain transmissions (such as mine) they look into what they can do to make it better, everything with the intention that the transmission lasts better than when the car was brand new! The transmission in my wife's car went out I took it to three different places the first place did a transmission service and charge me $400 that did absolutely nothing. The second place told me that I needed my transmission rebuilt and they said $4500 and maybe more if there was more wrong with the transmission then just the soft parts. I took it to HP transmission spoke with Robert and Frank who are both very polite and knowledgeable. They are both very helpful and they were both so responsive I don't even know who the boss is they took very very good care of me and my transmission works like brand new. The car hasn't ran this good the entire time we've owned it. On top of everything else it took a little long to get a part due to supply chains shortages and they did extra for me. Offered to get me a rental car and did the transmission on my 19 tundra. These shop is top notch and my go-to place for getting work done on my car. I have a 2013 Ford Fusion and last year my transmission went out (first major issue I ever had with the car). David, Frank and everyone at the shop were able to take a look, quote me on a great price for a rebuilt transmission and was able to get it working in a shorter time than they originally quoted...and the workmanship was great. Haven't had any problems since and now I'm running at 275K miles. Then, I just recently took my car to them last week to see if they can acquire a catalytic converter and install in short time, since I was failing a smog check and was running short on time. David quickly got the OEM part and the shop was able to install it within less than one day! He even took a 2nd look a couple days later to ensure that the codes cleared prior to going to back to the smog check station, ensuring that the car should have no issues. Best of all -- the price out the door was HALF of what the dealership had quoted me and 3 days sooner, so I wasn't out of a car for a long time! I appreciate the professionalism at this place and their word...when they say they are going to get something done, they stand behind it (I know a lot of places that don't do something as simple as that). they finished the transmission repair on my vehicle, and took care of a bunch of other problems as a bonus with no extra charge. there was a minor issue that occured after i drove away that had nothing to do with the repair they had done. (the car is a lemon haha). so i drove back and asked for help and i couldn't believe how attentitive and considerate they were. David dropped everything he was doing to help me get back on the road with the utmost dedication, working through his lunch break.
