Communication is horrible, instead of analizing the issue they guess, costing money and time. They also up-charge over 50% for parts. Nick tried to gaslight me talking about "perception" when I came to correct an issue, that was addressed not once but multiple times . Went somewhere else and not only was i right but they found more issues sierra auto care missed despite having my vehicle for several days at a time. Maria, nice at first then give ls off an annoyed attitude when you call to get status or ask questions. This office has two people and multiple times one didnt know because the other was working on it which makes no sense. Clearly theres no communication between them either. Regret using them and would highly recommend going elsewhere. read more

Great service and personable staff. I came in 2 weeks ago on a Friday morning, had a leak on my 17' Durango - looked as though it was the trans and was time for a service anyways. Had the fluid, filter and pan changed, standard service for a 17' Durango and these plastic pans are known for cracking. As a walk in they had me in and out in 5hrs - nice job for a Friday walk In. Shop manager Nick then hit me up a couple days later checking In. Unfortunately the leak continued so I brought it back In. Nick put it on the lift first thing and let me take a look as he inspected as well. I know my way around vehicles, so I try not to be a nuisance but also don't want to be screwed because of so many bad experiences from other shops. Nick was able to speak educated on the issue, finding the leak and giving me part numbers and advice since I'll do this portion myself. No ego or hard feelings I didn't have his team do the service, something's I just do myself. All in all, his team did a great job setting expectations with me and handling the service, they didn't charge for my walk in inspection today and the advice. Sierra Auto Care is a SUPER friendly and excellently accommodating crew. Sure, they don't operate on the weekends, but they will do everything in their power to not only repair your vehicle, but make sure that warranties and/or insurances help with the financial burden. If their loaner vehicle is available they will offer it up in order to offset an added car rental fee! The service technicians are friendly, they even helped drop me off where I needed to go locally while they worked on my van. They are one of the approved repair shops on CarMax's list. My Igor (05' Jeep Wrangler w/ 3" lift kit) broke down on the 14 north and had to be towed. The closest shop was Sierra Auto Care. Nervous about would they even take on this repair, when I arrived they had almost every make, model, year, vehicle in the lot and in the bays. They gave me an alignment. Then told me I need struts and arms. Well they wanted 800.00 so I found another mechanic. He did the struts for 200.00 and said my arms were fine. The bushings also fine. I had the alignment done last week. I called said could you redo the alignment because you should stopped and called me and told me about the struts knowing I would have to do an alignment again. They said oh the struts weren't that bad we just meant get them in the future. No! My bushings on the struts where shredded to pieces but the arms weren't bad like they said. They said you want another alignment you gotta pay! That's horrible. That's not good service. That's all about scamming more money! read more

MARIA, MARIA! She reminds me of a West Side Story. I know that was corny, but I had to do it... all jokes aside, she helped me so much with her time and attention today. My Chrysler's engine just failed me, and out of nowhere, I needed to come up with about 5k that I wasn't planning on spending. Maria spent about 2 hours helping me find the funding, and I only spent about $400 out of pocket. Even if none of the resources she tried to help me find didn't come through, she still spent the time helping, which I'm most grateful for. So easily the most honest people I have met in SCV! I just called to schedule a service. The lady on the phone (I apologize I didn't ask her name), started going through the regular questions. Then out of the blue was like, this is way too early to be replacing this part. Did your dash notify you to do this? Is the part faulty. I said no the dealership told me to do it. She asked a few more questions and said they're happy to test it for me but the car at this age and model is designed to notify you. She could've just been like, come in! That'll be $800! But she didn't, she was super honest and even taught me something new about a car I had for two years already! HIGHLY Reccommend! read more

In the midst of this COVID 19,, Nick at this repair shop took me in for a need repair. He had a few guys working and got me right in and on the lift as soon as I got here.. Very friendly, his guys we all in good moods... the shop is clean and well organized. This is not some buddy who works on cars.. this is a business who makes you feel like a buddy. They realize I just got my car refurbished and took extra car while around it... price was MORE THAN FAIR... Nick said they treat their high end cars like their regular cars.. they don't abuse your pricing whether you in a BMW or Mercedes or a older Honda or like me, a classic car. This place is such a gem. I have my go-to auto shop in Los Angeles, but when I found myself stuck on the side of the road in Santa Clarita, I stumbled upon this shop via Google/Yelp. It was after hours so I was unable to call and had the tow truck drop my car off out front. The next morning I called in, and Maria was quick to respond and got my car checked immediately and a quote sent over. Everything was so smooth and easy and not to mention how friendly Maria was over the phone. I've never had such a fast turn around (and right before the holiday weekend) and efficient work done on a car before. I also had to pick up my car after hours and they were able to drop my key in a lockbox for me. I think I may have to drive back to Santa Clarita just to come here next time I have car trouble. I think I may have found my new mechanic! With Sierra Auto Care's high Yelp rating, coupled with the fact that they are also an AAA Approved shop, I gave them a try. I took my wife's car in to fix the brakes, and while I was surprised to find out that the car needed new lower control arms ($$$!) as well as a brake fluid flush and new brake pads, they were friendly, fast, and professional. The text from the manager afterward just to make sure everything was okay was also a nice touch. Would like to say I can't wait to try them again, but I can wait until the next car issue. read more

I can't say enough about their service. They took it in next day. The part we needed was on a national backorder but Nick called around until he found the part at a dealer. I'm going on a long road trip this weekend so I wanted to get an oil change and tire rotation done before that. My long-time mechanic in Valencia was too busy to take me in today so I called Sierra Auto Care after finding them on Yelp and saw people's great reviews. Nick answered the phone and said I could come by in an hour and they could service my car while I wait, so I did. Note: I brought my own 5-qt jug of Castrol motor oil and Mobil 1 oil filter. Nick was true to his word he had his tech work on my car right away and I was out of there in 45-50 minutes. I appreciate that he accommodated me in short notice thanks for that! One thing I noticed when I got home and opened the hood was that they forgot to close the lid of the wiper fluid container and the battery terminal cover was out of place. Not big things but I'm a believer of putting things back where and how you found them. When I was paying the bill the lady said tech told her my alternator was not working and that surprised me. I drive my car 50-60 miles a day and never noticed a problem, nor has my original mechanic said anything to me about this considering I have this car serviced for maintenance with him at least 4-5x a year coz of the miles I put on it, so I will have to confirm the alternator issue and make sure it is what Sierra Auto Care says it is. Trust but verify. But thanks again for taking me in this morning and allowing me an opportunity to try your shop. read more

I think it's high time that I write a review because this is the only place that I ever trust with all my car issues!! We just bought a 2010 Toyota Prius for our teenage daughter & I took it to them for a lookover. Nick & Maria are the best humans & treat everyone like they're a neighbor. I like sitting in the waiting room, no matter how long something may take, have great conversations & watch how they treat every customer & staff with respect. They're honest, offer great pricing & will work out a plan if, like in my case with the Prius (it needs a lot of updates to get it into tip top condition), to stagger the work based on urgency that suits your financial situation. Always a hassle free easy experience when I take my car here for service. Miguel is a very knowledgeable employee and always acts Professional and courteous. I visited the shop about five times already and never once had any issues. They are quick, efficient and very helpful. I'm glad I found this place because the last mechanic shop I knew had many issues and no clue what was going on. I have gone there a couple times for an oil change and to get my brake pads and rotors replaced. it was all good with pricing and everything. the last time i went they wanted to charge me almost DOUBLE for the same thing, to get my rotors and brakes changed. i had an appointment for 1 and they still had not even done my oil change or LOOKED at my car until almost 5. they said my brakes didn't need to be changed but they needed to run a diagnostic which they "didn't have time for" even though my car had been there for 4 hours. i went somewhere else for a diagnostic and the mechanic let me know when my back brakes were done, they were done incorrectly. i used to recommend this place to everyone, but seems like they take advantage of people who are not "car savy". will not be returning, nor will i recommend to anyone. i work right up the street and everyone used to go to them for car needs, but i have advised them all not to continue. read more

Long time customer. Trusted this company because the work was excellent until my last two experiences. Took my ford flex in due to timing being off. I was charged $1200 at first, they called back stating my oil pump needed replacement and wanted another $800. The third call came in now stating they needed to replace timing gears and charged another $800. They kept my car for 2.5 months and and three trips back due to senors going off and engine making loud pinging noises, ultimately they changed the entire engine. I tried to let bygones be bygones, I recently to my car back to get my brakes done and stated that one side went metal to metal. I was quoted $265 just for the brakes. After leaving my car, I got a call now stating that it needed new rotors which they changed out less than a year ago, now asking $695.00. I couldn't afford that so I decided to complete the job myself. Very disappointing, I never needed two rotors, the side that went metal to metal I had resurfaced and is in excellent working condition, during changing out the driverside brakes, the top bolt on my brake caliper was half way on. Enough is enough. That's straight BS. I still have the same problems now as I did a year ago. Thinking about legal avenues. read more

My son's truck was in desperate need of some work done, however, our mechanic (a family member) moved away from this valley, and we've been hesitant to find someone we could trust. Needless to say, his truck started to have some issues. We researched some local places, read some reviews and decided to give this place a try. I'm so glad that we did.
