I started having issues with my a/c about a month ago, first it was the capacitador, I called another company and they came and replaced it, then a month after that, the motor of the fan went bad, I called the same other company and they replaced. Then 10 days after that repair, again my unit stop working. This time I called H-Town. First, I was impressed how quick they send a tech to check my system: he came the same day, 3 hours after my call. He checked the entire system and determined the blower was not working, the coils were freezing, and there were leaks. There was no air coming out of the vents. He suggested to place a new unit due to the age of the system (the condenser was from 2010 and the evaporator from 2004). I was worried to have to spend money in a new system. They sent the estimate and I spoke with the office to discuss it. They suggested that the owner, D-mitry to come and check everything again. The owner came the following day in the morning. I was very pleased with his attention and explanation. He said they could change only the blower and coils, but he said it would be a band aid due to the age of the system. I did not want to continue paying for repairs and I decided to have installed a new system. In addition, D-mitry saw that my ceiling vents were not the correct ones for ceilings , they were for walls and he said he would come in the afternoon to change them. Sure enough, he did even though wasn't part of the job proposed. It was a nice touch of customer service. The job started immediately. Roberto and Ed were the installers. I could not be more pleased with their diligence and professionalism. The installation went flawless. H-Town earned my trust and respect because they treated me with respect, they gave me the necessary attention and the customer service was superb. I strongly recommend H-Town for any air conditioner repairs/jobs. I'm sure you won't be disappointed. I found this gem in desperation of taking care of my a/c problem in the middle of the hottest time if the year and surely they delivered an A+ job. I was trying to fix mothers thermostat, I had replaced which I have done a few before in my house without problem, but then it would not turn on. I called them up and explained what was going on, they had told me that they could have someone out between 10-12 which wasn't bad since it was 8am when I called. I had expected what everyone thinks it would be 12 or after before they got there. I was proven way wrong they called me about 9:30 saying tech was on there way and would be there in about 15-20 min. I thought wow a service that is on time and calls you to let you know they are on way. Dmitry arrived to house and I explained what was going on, and I do know some of what I am doing, he took a look at the thermostat that I was replacing said it was hooked up correctly, went into attic and noticed that the fuse was blown. He told me how much it would be for him to replace part, I informed him that I could take care of it now that I know where fuse was and that there was another breaker in attic not just the one in panel. He only charged me the service call fee which was great, because there are other services that would charge service call, remove all I had done then charge me for repair and reinstall. This is what I call integrity. Later on that day there was another issue where air was running but not cooling, called them back and they gave me another time for them to come back. Again phone call before they got there was on time and was extremely friendly. This time it was confusing to tech as to why it was not cooling, after a few min it was working and noticing that wiring was mixed up coming from unit so the fan would come on but coil would not kick on, so now everything fixed and working well. I know I will use them for all my future issues for my house and my mothers. Very friendly, respectful, knowledgeable, and upstanding. I am going to be needing new units at my house and will be going with them. Wish other services would treat you like h-town ac does. read more

We had four companies bid for this job. The first one took pictures and would email a quote (never heard back from them). The second took pictures and emailed the quote. We were not given a choice of units. (This one installed our neighbors A/C - they were happy with them.) A third gave me the pricing for the units and would email a full quote when we chose the unit we wanted. Their pricing was several thousand more than anyone else. (This one installed a friend's A/C - they were happy with them.) Reliable was the only one who gave us a full quote the day of the walk thru. Dmitry was very informative, he gave us the education we needed on an HVAC system so that we could make the right decisions/choices. Dmitry did the actual install and he was professional and pleasant to work with. We did have to enlarge the return air opening. In addition to the heater and A/C we also added a duct to our enclosed patio. Since they would already be under the house we included running an additional power line for a future purchase of a spa. Did it take longer than the projected time to complete the project - yes, but we expected that. Whenever you have work done on a house there's always something that will delay the completion. Part of our delay was due to the difficulty of crawling under our house (which we know isn't easy - there are a lot of obstacles under ours, including very large rocks). The only thing not discussed before the job was the thermostat (except that it needed to be replaced and relocated). That resulted in our getting one that we don't like. It's a one week program and we would prefer a 7 day or 5-2 at minimum. A larger, back lit display is another thing we would prefer. I have left a message requesting an upgraded thermostat. It has been a couple of weeks since H-Town AC Repair installed a new HVAC system and I couldn't be more satisfied. At first, I was a little skeptical after seeing their advertisement for a complete 14 or 16 SEER A/C system and wondered what was the catch. However, after reading 5 STARS reviews on Yelp, Google, and Facebook I decided to pursue a quote for a new HVAC system and air ducts. To my surprised their quote beat out five other HVAC contractors with compatible SEER rated system and duct work. On the day of my installation, two technicians showed up at 9:20 and immediately placed drop cloths to protect the floors. They were very careful removing the old furnace, evaporator coil, and ducts from the attic and brought in the new equipment and new ducts being very mindful to not caused any damage to the house. As predicted cleaning up and hauling off the old equipment and ducts the completed job took about 12 hours. I would like to thank H-Town AC partners Mark and Dmitry. They were very professional and enjoyable to work with before and after the job. Both were responsive while communicating by phone or email and were truly honest while I asked specific questions on the equipment and installation process. After the job was done, Mark registered the equipment with the manufacturer and provided a warranty certificate. Their two technicians, Roberto and his helper Gerardo were A+ installers and very polite. Roberto was also very attentive and knowledgeable whenever I asked questions during the installation. I got an awesome HVAC system at an affordable upfront price. I'm also very satisfied with the installation, an EXCELLENT Job! Very professional and excellent work! I had a bedroom that only had one 6" duct providing air from my AC unit and the room was constantly warmer then the rest of the house. H-Town AC Repair Cypress came out, diagnosed the problem and gave me a quote for putting in a new air duct to the room along with a return vent. They were able to come out a few short days later to do the install. 50 feet of 8" air duct was installed, along with one jumper duct that would allow air to return from the room. I have a low profile roof and they were able to get the vents and ducts installed in under 3 hours from start of job to the finish. Their attention to detail was superb, the placement of the vents (fit and finish) with the drywall made it all look seamless. Dmitriy and his partner went above and beyond explaining the work in addition to cleaning up the worksite. I was afraid that I was going to have drywall dust and insullation everywere but they took the time to cover the aria they were working in, along with putting drop cloths down. When complete they swept and cleaned up all work areas and made sure we were satisfied. It is a pleasure to have professionals show up on time and do quality work! It went very well! We have a two-story home with the dedicated A/C unit for each floor. In march, we had H-Town AC Repair replace the 20+ year old 4-ton downstairs A/C unit with a modern 16 SEER unit. We love it so much, we hired H-Town AC again to replace the 2.5-ton A/C unit for the upstairs. The upstairs unit was also over 20 years old, broke at least once every summer (without fail) and even though it was supposedly fully charged, never cooled the upstairs property. We hadn't planned on replacing it so soon after the 4-ton unit but we appreciate the quality of the Trane unit (so quiet and efficient) and the expect installation of the H-Town AC Repair team so much, we went for it. This replacement was no different then the first. Very well done the first time and our upstairs area is now as cool as the downstairs. Also, please note that I aranged for 3 qoutes from different A/C installation companies the first go around and H-Town A/C Repair was definitely more competitive, especially in regards to value. I have never thought that finding a decent trustworthy and reliable hvac repair service at fair price was such a difficult thing to do. Dimitri was very knowledgeable, he started troubleshooting while answering all my annoying questions very kindly and explaining all he was doing. My AC stopped cooling the day before and he started to troubleshoot in organized steps. At his 3rd or 4th troubleshooting step, he found the issue in the outside unit and fixed the problem, on top of that he fixed what a different company diagnosed as a short, that company told me they needed to re-wire from the attic above the 3rd floor to the 1st story (making breaking the wall and making holes). Dimitri spent 15 mins fixing this issue and only charged the visit fee which is USD 49,95 for the two issues he took care of perfectly. I absolutely recommend them over any random company that home warranties typically send, they are very kind, decent and experienced. My A/C unit quit working overnight last night. I called H Town at 8:00 this morning and they were able to fit me into their schedule that afternoon. The technician, Ty, arrived on time as planned, diagnosed the issue within minutes, showed me the problem, and replaced the faulty part right away. They have the most reasonable service charge of any HVAC company I have worked with, and you cannot beat their prices, and they were here and gone in less than an hour. I am so glad I searched for a service company on Yelp before scheduling someone because this company deserves the high marks it gets on this site. Last time I called a HVAC company for service they charged me twice as much and did not replace or fix anything, they just referred me to a plumber for a problem with the drain. There were no troubles with scheduling and they arrived on time. H-Town AC Repair came in and cleaned the sensor that needed to be cleaned. That was reason that my heating unit was not working properly. The HVAC technician had suggested that we may want to have new thermostats installed at a later time. Everything went well! I have had them come back out to adjust my thermostat. The heat would kick on, run for a bit, kick off, and then kick back on. He explained that the thermostat is located closest to the front of the house and the thermostat was basing its reading from that part of the house instead of being located in the center. The technician who came out explained that since the thermostat was not in the center of our house, it would not take care of the issue. I appreciated that he was honest and did not try to sell us new thermostats that would not solve the problem. read more

They used drop cloths, disposable shoe booties to keep my floors clean. I liked the fact that they took the time to show me the interior of the old unit and the anatomy of the new unit along with the new safety features, etc. It was nice to learn how every thing works by being able to see it and get a brief lesson on the engineering and technology advancements. They rapidly identified the issue (water line blockage), repaired it, and explained preventive maintenance steps that I can take to keep it clear throughout the year. They also alerted me to other issues in the attic, including a disconnected exhaust pipe, which I am very thankful for because this type of issue can present a serious health challenge.
