I had been looking for a 1/2 day fishing charter for the last two weeks. No luck until I talked to Christine at Paradise last night. We happened to get lucky and they weren't booked up today. She was very friendly and helpful on the phone. Gave us directions and what we would need for our charter at 8am. I have to add they beat everyone else's 1/2 day charter rates. We got there ( my wife and three kids ) and were met by Captain Ryan. He had our boat all prepped and ready to head out right at 8am. Ryan was extremely polite and friendly. Hard to do with three teenagers that we thought about throwing over several times. LOL Captain Ryan must have changed fishing spots at least a dozen times trying his hardest to get us on fish. We all caught several. We only walked away with three keepers ( all good size Mackerel ) but caught a lot more than that. We caught a squirrel fish, lizard fish, blow fish, catfish just to name a few. One of our daughters caught a big fish and it gave her a run for her money. It was a juvenile and even though it was big we had to throw it back. Captain Ryan was very knowledgeable about his fishing. This was an outstanding trip and I will come back here every time we are back in Fort Myers. Our youngest ( 11 years old ) said ....."I think today was the best day I've had as a child". Fishing sounded like a great way to spend it. Contacted charter via phone ( although you could book online) because I wanted to know about access to boat/ what was needed. Christine called me back a few hours later had all of he information. She was polite and accommodating. I confirmed at 7:30pm for next day afternoon slot. That's customer service! Headed to Snook Bight marina and had a fantastic margarita made by Sandy. Met up with captain Ryan at 1. Boarded the 24 ft fishing boat with my hubby, a cooler, sandwiches, maybe some beer and 2 senior citizens ( parents). Had a great 4 Hour trip. Captain Ryan was professional, patient and knew everything about the area wildlife and fish. We got to fish at a few spots. We caught catfish, trout, whiting, baby hammerheads. He somehow arranged for us to see dolphins too! It might seem pricey($400), but honestly because you are able to go at your own pace, not being elbow to elbow with others and having an experienced captain as your guide made the day priceless. Our daughter is 16 and had to pass a test ($3 and took 20 mins) to be able to drive her own. Great adventure out to the bay by Lover's Key...we saw school of stingrays, several dolphin and a turtle. Really enjoyable time and our guide was very knowledgeable and nice. Waterproof camera would be helpful.

Sean aka Beach Jesus was an amazing tour guide, very knowledgeable, very friendly and made the experience that much better. We saw multiple dolphin pods, a manatee and extensive wildlife, it was amazing. 10/10 would recommend anyone and everyone to check these guys out if you're looking for a great priced adventure that you won't soon forget.

What the website doesn't tell you is that they keep the boat at an idle speed the entire time. It was like we were in a no wake zone ALL Day. It took us 3 hours to idle through the bay to get to Sanibel island to take a 15 minute dip before we had to head back. We were going so slow there was not even breeze and we were sweating buckets while all the other boaters were flying by us. We did ask the captain to go faster, but he said it would use to much fuel. We wanted to stop at a restaurant and have lunch but the captain told us we didn't have time unless we wanted to pay more and extend our afternoon. I had planned a fun day with some girlfriends from out of town. While I own a boat, I thought it would be fun to have a yacht take me and my guests around. Their website says to be on time yet the captain was 20 minutes late. He never acknowledged it nor did he apologize. The owner texted me and stated it was unacceptable and to deduct it from his tip. Nothing on the boat was ready. We had to go get our own ice (most boats at a minimum provide ice). He then watched us load every bag - never offered to help. After 45 minutes of the captain getting the boat ready for him to drive (not getting it ready for guests), we were undocked and ready to go. I asked for time back and that was denied as him prepping is what I paid for I assume??? We cruised through the river and it became hot and humid as no wind was blowing as we were going incredibly slow (we were out of the no wake zone at this point). He refused to turn the air conditioning on inside the cabin as he stated that cost additional money. After about an hour or so, I reminded him where I wanted him to take us and his response was "the owner always over promises but that's a 10 hour trip". It's actually a 30 minute boat ride as I do it frequently. I simply requested Cayo Costa which is the first place listed on their website! After asking him to go faster he informed me that it would be $300 more per hour. At that point the owner called me. I let him know what has transpired and that pontoon boats were passing us and his response was "you should have rented a pontoon boat". At that point I asked him to drop us off at the closet marina as I had another boat picking us up as this experience was awful! Very unprofessional. Not prepared. Incredibly rude.
