Did a customized 1 hour tour; quick to accommodate our customized route; pilot called out many interesting sites along the way - really made it a great experience. Well done H5!

We had the best experience working with H5 Helicopters for our wedding! We had the idea to have a non-traditional wedding, and my husband reached out to Nelson with an idea to charter a helicopter from Scottsdale to Sedona. From the moment we reached it, the process was incredibly smooth and transparent! They made our wedding the best day of our lives! They treated us like VIPs from the moment we showed up at the hangar. Our pilot Jeff was also incredibly kind and accommodating to our needs. I can't say enough amazing things about how incredible the team was. I am also a bit afraid of heights and felt totally safe the entire time! Thank you, H5, for making our dream wedding come true!!!

Mitch, Jeff and Nelson--you guys are the best. We put together this flight the night before Thanksgiving, and flew on Friday. The best experience you can purchase in the Valley!!! There is so much beauty to see from the air, a 1 hour flight makes you want to schedule another flight just to see more. H5 offers an experience of a life time. We had a guest from England who had never been to AZ. All I can say is his head was still spinning a day later, he was very surprised at all we got to see on our 1 hour flight- If you live here--you will be very surprised at all you get to see, that you don't even realize is here! Book a ride with H5 today!!

Pre-departure at Scottsdale Airpark! On to Sedona and local wine tour!

Thank you so much H5 and pilot Mitch! We had the most amazing day trip and wine tour. Started our day with departure out of Scottsdale Airpark, quick flight to Sedona and the most amazing views of the red rocks of Sedona before landing at the Sedona airport. 3 hr wine tour at A/D Winery and private tour of Page Springs Winery. Pilot Mitch was waiting for our return at Sedona Airport and back to Scottsdale. Amazing day!

Had a great experience. We did the hour heli tour. The captain and whole experience was great. Would definitely recommend this company and experience to anyone looking for an awesome experience in AZ!

It's the perfect activity if you prefer super active games over logic/puzzle-style rooms (though there's a bit of that too). Here's what makes it stand out compared to the similar spaces that have been popping up in the Valley: - Physicality: I'm a workout junkie, and I was *sweating* in every room we chose. There are less intense games, but we really loved running around in the Mega Grid and Grid, rapidly throwing balls in Strike, and shooting Hoops. - Tech: The responsiveness is amazing. The thermal cameras are shockingly accurate in the Laser rooms, so you really have to sneak like a spy. The Grid rooms also capture the colors you're standing on with no time delay. - Multi-game rooms: Love that you can choose between multiple game options per room (ex: Asteroid-style vs hitting the right colors in Strike), and there are both cooperative and competitive mode options. Keeps the experience fresh even if you go often! - Leveling up: Games can get INTENSE the more you go back. You can advance to higher levels, and your progress is saved from previous visits. If there's no one waiting for the room, you get the option to continue playing to the next level after you pass. - Individual scoring: The mix of cooperative and competitive games means everyone gets their own wristbands and user profiles to rack up points. You can trade points for prizes like keychains, basketballs, extra time, and even Apple watches and PlayStations over time. The only downside is this space is a bit costly compared to similar spots ($28 for only an hour). Weekends seem crowded all day since there's only 13 rooms, so the frequent rotation can add up -- we were usually spending one minute in, one minute out of rooms once it got super busy. But the level of cardio, constant fun no matter how many times you go, and responsiveness really make it worth it for special occasions or outing with friends. Really recommend this experience overall!

It's also a great spot to entertain and tire out the kids! Lol There's even a Ferris wheel, but it was way too hot for us to ride. We also found a photo booth near the restrooms ($8), which was a fun little bonus. It's conveniently located near OdySea, Topgolf, and Talking Stick, and it's super easy to get to from the freeway. If you're visiting during the summer, I'd recommend saving the outdoor walking for the cooler months and spending the hotter afternoons indoors at OdySea.

1 Star - Dangerous and disappointing experience on the Big Wheel…read more I rode the Boardwalk Big Wheel at Arizona Boardwalk today with my two young boys, ages 2 and 4. The experience was honestly terrible and, more importantly, felt unsafe. It was 105°F outside, and we were placed in the orange #15 gondola. The gondolas are primarily enclosed by glass and have no effective air conditioning. The AC in ours was clearly broken and was blowing hot air instead of cooling the cabin. Within minutes, all three of us were drenched in sweat and the heat inside was becoming extremely uncomfortable. The biggest issue was that the attendant locked us inside the gondola despite the extreme heat. We waved at her to let us out, but she didn't. We went around the entire wheel and, when we came back around, we waved again. She saw us, but still didn't open the door. I ultimately had to yell and knock on the glass to get her attention before she finally let us out after the second trip around. When we got off, I explained what had happened to the attendant. Her response was essentially an unenthusiastic, unapologetic "sorry." There was no concern about whether my children or I were okay, no offer to move us to a functioning gondola, and no refund or other attempt to make the situation right. I paid $22.71 for the ride, but the money isn't really the issue. What concerns me is putting young children into an enclosed, extremely hot gondola with a malfunctioning cooling system and then failing to respond when the passengers are clearly asking to get out. I would strongly recommend that Arizona Boardwalk inspect and properly maintain these gondolas and, more importantly, make sure attendants respond immediately when passengers are signaling that they need to exit. I would not recommend riding the Boardwalk Big Wheel, particularly with young children in extreme heat.

The last time I played putt-putt was probably when I was a kid, but once we got started, I was hooked. It was so much fun! I also loved that it's indoors and nicely air-conditioned, which is a huge plus in Arizona. The venue itself is really cool, with a great bar area downstairs and another bar upstairs. And I have to give a HUGE shoutout to Nick, the bartender upstairs. He was genuinely one of the best bartenders I can remember having in years. He was incredibly personable, friendly, and fun. I'm pretty introverted, but somehow Nick had me talking, laughing, and excited to try cocktails I normally wouldn't order. He was basically the life of our entire group, and everyone absolutely loved him. I'm still wondering why they stuck him upstairs because he was such a huge part of what made our experience so great! Overall, Puttshack is such a fun venue for an event or party, and I'll definitely be bringing my family here the next time they're in town. Great atmosphere, great drinks, and a genuinely fun experience.

Our golf was scheduled for 6p so we arrived a little early and decided to grab a drink at the bar. I saw the cucumber fizz on the cocktail menu and thought it looked delicious, but I don't drink gin. I asked the bartender if he could make it with vodka instead. He told me he couldn't substitute the gin because they have to inventory their alcohol. Strange - but OK. I asked if they are a full bar and he said yes. I then asked if he could make me a vodka soda with simple syrup, cucumber, and mint. His response was that he couldn't make it because there was no way for him to charge me for the extra ingredients. This is where I was honestly baffled. I wasn't asking for anything complicated or unreasonable. I'm not sure if the bartender was complying with policy or just didn't want to make a custom drink, but it's a full bar. The bartender could have offered an alternative but instead I was told it couldn't be done. The interaction was really disappointing. The mini golf itself was OK, the sensors didn't track 3 of our putts. We were told to report to one course to start but then got asked to start at another course. We were given balls with no explanation of how their sensor system works, so our first hole was a mess. We later saw other people checking in and getting the full run down on all the rules and nuances so we definitely missed out on the welcome factor. This was supposed to be a child-free date night, and being unable to enjoy a cocktail we actually wanted really put a damper on the experience. Could we have ordered something else? Totally. But the interaction with the bartender just made us not want to order anything. I would hope a full-service bar to could have some flexibility and, frankly, a little creativity. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here.

While he has properties all across the U.S., he's most well known in Phoenix for Talisien West. While Frank Lloyd Wright Spire isn't as extensive, it makes for a fun mini adventure. I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and had no trouble finding a free parking spot in the entertainment center where the Spire is located. Naturally, it's right off of Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd. If you're trying to find where to park, look for Maggiano's. The Spire was actually intended to be part of the State Capitol Building (another cool place to check out). Instead, it ended up in North Scottsdale. It's a large spire that stands out due to it's geometrical design and color scheme. While I saw it during the day, it's also nice to visit at night (when it lights up) or around the holidays (when an elf is attached to it). Outside of the spire, you have a good number of interesting sculptures designed by one of FLW's pupils. There's also a nice water fountain and bench area designed by another pupil. You can see FLW's influence in frequent uses of symmetry. And last but not least, there's a little tablet telling you a little bit about the spire and sculpture garden. This experience is free and can be done in about 10 minutes. I still have a few FLW spots to check out in town. On to the next one!

We were driving to Cosanti and I wanted to stop here to check it out. My favorite part of Taliesen West is the sculpture garden with sculptures by Heloise Crista. The good thing about this location is you can see a couple of the same sculptures for free. The archer near the fountain is very memorable and I took a picture of it for a friend who visited TLW with me and he instantly remembered it.  The spire itself was draped with a blow-up elf for the holidays and it was distracting. It was originally meant for Arizona State Capitol. It's odd its just placed on a street corner though I can see why its probably the best location for it. The spires at the Marin County Civic Center and the Anderton Court Shops are integrated into his architecture and feel a lot more appropriate. Overall, it was quick free stop for FLW fans, no one else was there in the afternoon. You can see a wider breadth of the Crista Sculptures at Taliesen West and there are better FLW spires that are part of his buildings.
