Such a fun experience and Nick was AMAZING! I went to Puttshack as part of an event, and I honestly had such a great time! I had never been to a place like this before. The last time I played putt-putt was probably when I was a kid, but once we got started, I was hooked. It was so much fun! I also loved that it's indoors and nicely air-conditioned, which is a huge plus in Arizona. The venue itself is really cool, with a great bar area downstairs and another bar upstairs. And I have to give a HUGE shoutout to Nick, the bartender upstairs. He was genuinely one of the best bartenders I can remember having in years. He was incredibly personable, friendly, and fun. I'm pretty introverted, but somehow Nick had me talking, laughing, and excited to try cocktails I normally wouldn't order. He was basically the life of our entire group, and everyone absolutely loved him. I'm still wondering why they stuck him upstairs because he was such a huge part of what made our experience so great! Overall, Puttshack is such a fun venue for an event or party, and I'll definitely be bringing my family here the next time they're in town. This review is primarily for the bar. My husband and I decided to have an early date night at Putt Shack. Our golf was scheduled for 6p so we arrived a little early and decided to grab a drink at the bar. I saw the cucumber fizz on the cocktail menu and thought it looked delicious, but I don't drink gin. I asked the bartender if he could make it with vodka instead. He told me he couldn't substitute the gin because they have to inventory their alcohol. Strange - but OK. I asked if they are a full bar and he said yes. I then asked if he could make me a vodka soda with simple syrup, cucumber, and mint. His response was that he couldn't make it because there was no way for him to charge me for the extra ingredients. This is where I was honestly baffled. I wasn't asking for anything complicated or unreasonable. I'm not sure if the bartender was complying with policy or just didn't want to make a custom drink, but it's a full bar. The bartender could have offered an alternative but instead I was told it couldn't be done. The interaction was really disappointing. The mini golf itself was OK, the sensors didn't track 3 of our putts. We were told to report to one course to start but then got asked to start at another course. We were given balls with no explanation of how their sensor system works, so our first hole was a mess. We later saw other people checking in and getting the full run down on all the rules and nuances so we definitely missed out on the welcome factor. This was supposed to be a child-free date night, and being unable to enjoy a cocktail we actually wanted really put a damper on the experience. Could we have ordered something else? Totally. But the interaction with the bartender just made us not want to order anything. I would hope a full-service bar to could have some flexibility and, frankly, a little creativity. Brought my nephew here for quality time. We paid for the $25 unlimited mini golf. Otherwise it was $14 for 9 rounds. There had two stories and four courses. You are able to schedule your tee times which was convenient. The vibe was awesome and lots of seating for food and drinks which includes indoors and outdoors. The courses are fun and interactive. On a Sunday upstairs had no bar or food service which was inconvenient but we went downstairs to grab a drink to take back upstairs and that's the only time I felt service lacked. Along with another neighboring couple we waited 17 minutes for service. It wasn't busy at the bar to feel that was necessary. But the bartenders were not observant of the entire bar. We missed our tea time and was able to get it rescheduled thankfully, thinking 15 minutes was enough time to grab a soda and a beer. I finally asked as one was serving guests who came well after us what is the process. He mentioned the other bartender has our side, I said she hasn't looked our way once, I assumed she was just servicing the servers. The other couple went and asked as well and we were able to find a waitress to just help us and take our order, she said she couldn't take it to us upstairs so we had to wait. I think there was a lot of missed opportunities for service and purchases in that moment. We continued to play and the attendees around the courses were great and helpful. We did end up going to eat elsewhere since service seemed to be an issue. We do plan to go back next month but will be prepared to expect long waits and or we will eat ahead of time. read more

My daughters and I visited this location on Friday, July 3rd, to have some fun indoors and escape the Arizona heat during the Fourth of July holiday weekend. We originally found them through Groupon, but when we visited their website, we noticed they were offering a 25% off promotion from July 3rd through July 5th, so we decided to take advantage of that deal. They offer both a 9-hole and an 18-hole mini golf course. The 18-hole option costs a little more, but with the promotion, it was a great value. We opted for the 9-hole course and had a wonderful time. The staff was very friendly, explained everything clearly, and made the check-in process easy. Since we purchased our tickets online in advance, we were able to pre-check in for our reserved time slot. It was fairly busy because of the holiday weekend, but the course flowed well. Guests simply waited for the group ahead to finish each hole before moving on, which kept things organized. They also have a restaurant and bar inside, making it easy to grab food and drinks before or after your game. We noticed they offer happy hour specials from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, although I'm not certain if those specials are available on weekends. Easy free parking in the garage across the street. An inviting atmosphere. Restaurant and bar too, with my kinda cocktails on the menu, of the sweeter variety. But I just came here to play mini golf. Staff was great, and I was able to start early since I arrived before my reserved play time. There are two courses on site (starting either upstairs or downstairs), you don't get to choose when you book online, at least I don't remember being given an option, they just place you in one. I did the yellow & green course (amber & emerald to be exact). Lots of lights and color with moving parts on some of the holes. And the main difference is automatic scoring via ball sensors (which means I couldn't cheat, lol). I actually never keep score when I play mini golf. But I do like getting extra tries. The place was pretty busy, so it probably wouldn't be a good idea anyway. The holes are playful and creative, but more flashy than challenging. I'm no pro though so I'm fine with that. 04/03/2026 My friend and I both had the day off and searched for something to do and stumbled upon Puttshack. It was so busy around noon, but it was also Good Friday so a lot of people didn't have work or school. Fortunately, we were able to book a tee time. We chose 18-holes which was two 9-hole games, on different courses. Game one was on the first level. It was actually so much fun. I loved the setup - you can see your group's info on the TV screen each time you move to the next hole. Your golf balls are tracked, so it can keep score for you. Our second game was upstairs where there was a big party finishing up ahead of us. That did slow things down a bit, but understandably. Our favorite part of each round was trivia, where you aim the golf ball into either the true or false slot to answer the question on the TV screen. Service was great - both guys that checked us in for each game were very helpful. Also, someone ahead of us had an issue with their golf ball not registering any movements, but a staff member quickly replaced it with a new ball. The staff member who oversees each course can also put in drink orders for you. That's convenient, but we didn't order anything. The game moves pretty quickly anyway. Lastly, they have a weekday offer where you buy one 9-hole game and get 50% off a second game. We would definitely come here again! read more

Fun concept, but we had a reservation on Father's Day. Big mistake. Waited 40 mins just to get putters and every hole had a line so long, it just made the experience irritating. If we had known they were letting everyone in that day, even without reservations, we would have chosen a different place because we drove 45 mins ,from Gilbert, to get there. What's the point of having a reservation if it does us no good? Maybe we'll try it again another time, but for now it's left a bad taste, considering the food was super pricey it and it was poorly manned. We got lucky and walked in when it was still chill, but halfway through our game it started filling up fast and felt pretty packed. There are two levels, and you get to pick which side/station you play on, so choose wisely! Service was a little hit or miss--the person who checked us in was super sweet, but when we went to grab our ball and putter, the associate seemed rushed and didn't really explain things. I was told to check out Puttshack by another Yelp eliter. She was not wrong. While there was some initial sticker shock, unlimited golf was $25/person, it seemed more reasonable once I knew there were 4 courses to play. Play 9 holes on one course, get a text to schedule your next course. Keep popping around between the two floors and make a day of it. The technology was on point. The only time it glitched was when I went too quick and didn't give the system a chance to recognize my ball. Otherwise, tee off, finish the hole and make way for the next person. I was there on a Sunday night and didn't have to wait more than 5 minutes between 9's. I'll definitely be on the lookout for these whenever I travel. read more

This is our second visit to Puttshack. The first was in Georgia. At that location, there were also 4 courses but 2 of them were just mirrors of the others. Here there are similar holes but also unique holes to each course it seems. We did the $20 All You Can Golf deal ($10 for under 12) and it was so worth it. Came on a Monday afternoon around 4pm so it fell right within Happy Hour (M-F from 3 to 6pm). Did one course, then sat in the restaurant and filled up on HH food which was Bao Buns, Onion Dip with Chips, Chicken Quesadillas and Loaded Tots. Each of these were $6 and for our party of 4 adults + 3 small kids it was a nice spread where everyone found something they liked. There are also drinks on HH including Gin & Juice cans and 16oz draft beers. We then went through the rest of the 4 courses after eating and it filled our night without being too late to get our little ones home. Their hospitality manager, Kendall, went above and beyond by emailing the Director of Operations, Joe, and two other leaders to provide advanced notice of my group's booking preferences when I called in advance to make them aware of our preference to play the top two courses after having already played the bottom two a few times. Our waitress, Georgie, brought high energy and was so efficient and detailed in her serving. One of the managers on duty, DanPa, helped me clear up a credit card issue and get the proof of payment I needed for my card company. If you book the two-course option, they allow you to upgrade to the unlimited play option on the day of for the same price difference between the two options as when you originally booked. Such a great option! We even had two people in our party no-show, and DanPo gave me four single-course play gift cards without even a second thought. Everyone there was so incredibly pleasant! Our group dined after playing two rounds of nine holes each. We were surprised at the quality of the food. The fries, burgers, and wings were outstanding, and everything came served hot and fresh. Monday through Friday during happy hour from 3pm-6pm, wings are only $1 each. I ordered the shrimp skewers, which were a light and high-protein option, but they were a bit undercooked and the feta in the Greek salad was a bit overpowering. If you love feta, you might like that. The tzatziki sauce they use is homemade, and I thought it was a bit watery but still tasted fine. They offer plenty of discounts through their Puttshack Perks program, weekday discounts, and coupon codes sent after you putt (I got a 50% off coupon via text immediately after leaving today). They crank the air conditioning inside, so it's very comfortable to putt even when it's triple digits outside. This is one of the best mini golf courses I have ever been to. I highly recommend getting the unlimited because there are four mini golf courses. The service has been great and everybody has been helpful. The balls are tied to your name so you don't have to keep track of your own points. Stopped in to kill an hour before a dinner reservation. I think the concept is great and there's plenty of dopamine happening, but if you are going to play only 9 holes like we did, it is overpriced. My 7 year old son loved it but we got through 9 holes in less than 20 minutes and that was it. I think 18 holes would have been appropriate for what we paid. We stopped into Puttshack in-between soccer games to get out of the heat and do something low key and fun. It was a good choice. If you like mini golf but hate keeping score and hate carrying around the little pencil, this is right up your alley. All the points and everything are tracked by your specifically assigned ball. The large screens on each hole display the total scores and show you bonuses you earned as well. There are four different 9 hole courses (2 downstairs and 2 upstairs) and depending on how crowded it is, it takes about 20-25 minutes to get through each course. All indoor and air conditioned too, which is a plus for Arizona. The other good thing is the on screen guidance also has a shot clock to keep things moving along and automatically directs you to the next hole and gives you the line up of the golfers. We played the Ember course. The game ambassadors at each course start station are really nice and helpful, especially in the chance something goes wrong (like a ball gets stuck or gets shot over to another course or the score didn't count the right amount of strokes). The kiosks were down the day we went but the manager was also incredibly welcoming and helped troubleshoot our reservation issue. It is a little pricier than traditional mini golf, so get your monies worth and go on a day where you can get their "all you can putt" pass. Go through all the course to get a good feel for them, get some and drinks there, and then go for a few more rounds. Really fun date idea. They also do happy hour for the food and drinks. You can also sometimes find them on Groupon. Park in the garage directly across from the front door entrance for free. It can be tough to get through the streets there, especially if they are having events. We will definitely be back, it's a great summer activity to add to the list of local things to do when it's too hot outside. read more

It's far too easy for holes to get backed up, causing a line of people awkwardly waiting their turn. Because there's not a ton of room, it feels very crowded and adds pressure when you're playing because the people waiting have nothing else to do than glare at you to hurry up. Multiple times I've also had to wait well past our reservation time just to get started. It defeats the purpose of having one and makes the experience harder with (impatient) kids. If they can nail down the timing between parties, improve spacing, and maybe make it more entertaining between holes, this place would be awesome. Even though it was crowded and we did have to wait in between each spot, we still had a lot of fun. It was nice to watch other people try to make their shots, talk in between, not too loud, and you can order drinks. They have spots to put down your drinks, hang your purse. The best thing you don't need to keep track of your score it automatically does it! The course itself is super fun and original. I really love the innovation. Four of us came here last Saturday night around 7:30pm. We did not have reservations, but we were able to play 9 holes. You check yourself in and then stand in line at the course you are assigned to. We did not have coupons or any special pricing so it was $14 each for 9 holes, which took a little over 30 minutes once we were able to start. It is popular so there was a wait to start but Puttshack has employees at the beginning of each course, so it is a little spaced out. They have tables at each hole for drinks and purses and they even have purse hooks! The 9 holes we played were quite entertaining. Everything is electronic so there is nothing to figure out or keep score. It was fun to just play the game. Three of us had the top shelf margarita and it was delicious. We were not there during happy hour which I would try to hit next time (Mon-Thurs 3-6) because drinks were a little pricey. But overall it is a fun time. read more

Went to Puttshack for a work outing. There is plenty of free garage parking and it's easy to find in Scottsdale quarter. They have a great menu and we ordered a few things for the table. Standouts were the potstickers and the pepperoni flatbread, that hot honey was delicious on it! The employees were super friendly and it's really colorful and fun inside!
