    I love this art piece!!

On Saturday my boyfriend, daughter and I decided to take a self-guided tour of this free unique outdoor bee museum that was gifted from Häagen-Dazs to UC Davis in 2009. They are open daily, all day, so we had plenty of time to learn about the species of bees and the flowers in which they gather their pollen from! I've researched a lot about bees and they are my favorite insect for numerous reasons! Fact: Honey is the only food that includes all the substances necessary to sustain life, including enzymes, vitamins, minerals, and water; and it's the only food that contains "pinocembrin", an antioxidant associated with improved brain functioning. Cool right!? I would recommend visiting and we will have to check out one of their in-person guided tours they offer on Tuesday and Thursday mornings! Currently honey bees, carpenter bees, bumble bees and sweat bees are active! Support small and local, save the bees! Follow @hbhgarden for more info!

    Funny but true!

We came here on a day trip last weekend. Not a lot of people early in the day so there weren't a lot of people there. Lots of flowers and lots of bees. The bees mind their own business. Right after leaving we ordered a bee house. There were detailed instructions on site on how to make one but I would rather get it tomorrow already made. This bee garden is a small part of a very large UC Davis campus so there is a lot going on around here.

We tried five different places that she chose based on the group's preferences. We had a cocktail, a coffee drink, a dessert, and a few different dishes from midtown restaurants. I never felt full (the F word!) but I was happily satisfied at the end. I had never eaten at any of these places so now I know more great places to try. Dawnie has an amazing depth of knowledge about the area, the food scene, and the history of our Farm to Fork capital. She loves the city and it shows in how she highlights it in her tour. The biggest surprise for me was the street art. I had never noticed these murals nor did I realize we had a history of street art and unique festivals. I will definitely be checking those out more in the future! I hope to do more of their tours and explore other parts of the city in the future!

Also, it frees up Thanksgiving day if you want to do another race! This is what makes this race 5-stars for me: PROS: -You can pick up your bib/shirt packet on the day of the race -There's plenty of parking within the general race area -There was a variety of vendors around -Printed race results posted about 2 hours after the race -Race results posted online later that day -Well staffed - plenty of volunteers -Well marked - plenty of route guides -Nice shirts and technical shirt upgrade option, long sleeve shirt option -The medals for placing in your age division were actually high-quality. I attached a picture of one. -Race starts are all staggered. CONS: -The only con that I can think of was that there wasn't that many port o potties for a race this size. They definitely cheaped out on that one. PLENTY OF OPTIONS! The kids races were really cute. -Standard 5k/10k options -Stroller baby 5k -1 mile kids race -0.5 mile kids race -0.25 mile kids race -200m yard dash for toddlers!

Made a Yelp account just to leave this review!…read more We went to Great Bear Vineyards for their Valentine's day Chocolate and Wine tasting and had a wonderful time. Their chocolate/wine pairings complemented beautifully together and left us savoring each individual flavor. Afterwards we were visited by Jenny, a winemaker who noticed our cups were empty and offered us more wine to taste. Overall, a very pleasant and romantic experience. Would love to visit again in better weather (and when the grapes are in season)!

I'm guessing wine tastings are mainly what the vineyard offers, but it would've been nice to have the choice explained first. This is where my 2/5 stars comes in. They only had one person serving about 12 tables. My party was only a group of 2, but there were other tables with groups as large as 9 people. It literally took 25 minutes to receive my second pour, and the only reason we got it was because I had to remind the staff. I think having at least two people pouring wine would make the experience much smoother. Upon arrival, they also have a small parking area for non-reserved parking. Luckily, we were able to find a close spot. As for the restroom, personally I'm not a fan of unisex bathrooms, and they also did not have seat covers available. Overall, the staff was friendly, but the service and organization could definitely be improved. Apart from all this, I have visited multiple wineries in Livermore, which is closer to the Bay Area, and their wine bottles are much cheaper. Their wine tasting options are also more affordable. This is just my personal experience and opinion overall I don't think I would consider coming back.

I travel quite a bit for food and family, including trips to Las Vegas, colorado, and Southern California and the service here truly stood out. Danielle R. provided phenomenal service and everyone working on the floor was welcoming, attentive, and professional. Look for the Morgan Wallen look-a-like (missing a lol) The hospitality made my birthday feel extra special. For my entree I ordered the carbonara along with a glass of sangria. My daughter ordered several appetizers including the calamari, fried ravioli, and a mixed green salad with candied walnuts and cranberries. Everything was absolutely delicious! I will definitely be back & I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great dining experience.

I've ordered from Paesanos before, so I know what they're capable of. Unfortunately, today's pizza wasn't even close and the biggest issue was that the pizza was undercooked. The cheese barely had any color, the center wasn't baked, and the whole pizza looked rushed. Comparing it to my June 14 order, the difference is obvious. The difference in quality speaks for itself. It's disappointing to spend good money on a pizza that doesn't meet the standard they've set in the past. I hope they can be more consistent going forward.
