Had some time to burn in Davis a few weeks ago, and decided to stop by this small, boutique style tasting room. I was pleasantly surprised and plan to make this a recurring stop whenever I'm in the area. I was helped by Joseph. He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable with all the selections. A basic tasting was only $20 and well worth it. The tasting areas a very quaint and comfy, plus there is outside seating as well. As for the wine, it was very good. My expectations were low, but Nashoba definitely impressed me. Even bought a couple of bottles to bring home. If you got the time, and feel like doing a tasting away from the normal wine regions, I strongly recommend Nashoba Wines. read more

A Groupon deal brought us here, but the great conversation with Joseph kept us going. We came in with a flight for 2 and tried a chenin blanc, brut rose (sparkling), syrah, trincadeira, vinho branco doce. I'd give you my thoughts but it's a tasting and we all have our preferences, so just try them all and see what you think! We then had a glass of the 2017 Acampo Tempranillo and the Winters "hazy" Tempranillo rose. If you like something dry and bold during a cold winter day, then the Tempranillo is a good choice. If you're new to wine though, I'd avoid it and try the rose instead. You'll find indoor and outdoor seating here. The indoor space is very cozy with comfortable and clean velvet couches. It's a great atmosphere/vibe. The outdoor area has high stools and countertops as well as lower, regular tables for 4. There are some areas that can host a group of 10 people well. read more

Been living in Davis for years and just discovered this place! Can't beat a $20 tasting for 5 different wines. Plus the wine was good! My housemate and I loved the hazy rose and ended up buying a bottle afterwards. The owner was really nice and the atmosphere was perfect. They had light music, a beautiful outdoor patio, and an indoor lounge-type of space. This is perfect regardless of the weather and it surprisingly wasn't too crowded. I visited this sweet place for the first time this weekend and so glad that I did. What a gem of a place here in Davis! The service was stellar for our wine tasting and the wines were all fantastic! 6 wines for a $15 wine tasting - two whites, one rose and 3 wines. I will readily admit that I can be a wine snob - and picky about what kinds of wines I like - and I liked all the wines that were part of our tasting, which included a chenin blanc, albarino, rose, tempranillo and alicante bouschet. Wowzers!! I've always loved little wine bar. Haven't been since last summer and to my pleasant surprise it has been "remodeled". The interior has a new and expanded seating area with sectioned spaces. Nice brown cozy leather seating, natural woods. It's beautiful inside. There's also plenty of seated outdoor space. I haven't even mentioned how wonderful the wine selection is!! Definitely coming here after work or after a visit to Ace for a glass of wine more often!! This has been my best find in Davis so far!! Cork It Again is an intimate yet casual tasting room that offers a variety of local wines. My friend and I only saw this on the way to Delilah's-- it's so tucked away and hidden that I'm astounded we even saw it at all. Walking in, we were the only occupants in this tiny, tiny space, aside from the co-owner, Jake. With only four barstools available, Cork It Again encourages conversation between you, the bartender, and any others who happen to come by. He welcomes you to try a few wines, free of charge-- a full tasting of the entire list is only $7 for 8 generous pours. Not to mention that the place makes 2 sangrias fresh, weekly. Jake is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. I appreciated that he was so patient talking us through each wine, even explaining basic terminology to a wine noob like me :-) I felt comfortable asking questions like what "full-bodied" or "astringent" meant, when I'd previously felt embarrassed to ask at other establishments. Came here for some Friday afternoon wine tasting. This was our second time here. We were greeted right away by a very friendly and warm wine server. We opted for the $15pp wine tasting, it includes 6 wines that they select for you, 3 whites and 3 reds. We enjoyed all of them. We also ordered their cheese and cracker slate for $5 and their slices lamb salami was $4 and their dark chocolate truffles were $2.50 each. Everything was affordable and very yummy! We got to sit on their blue velvet couch and chairs(very comfy). Highly recommend this wine bar. They have a wine for everybody and they have very affordable prices on their bottles, $10ish-$30/bottle prices. You can opt to drink outside or inside. I can't believe i never left a review. I was here with my group in January for my friends wedding celebration. I purchased a 6 tix from Groupon for super cheap. I was expecting like an actual winery but it was a cute little place where we were trying wines the owners were combining (not making). I purchased a bottle of Rose which was the best Rose i ever had and I'm not even a Rose drinker. It was only 20$. We all loved it. I came here on a Sunday with my besties to celebrate my milestone birthday. It wasn't a normal day/time for Jake to be open but he opened up shop just for us...just for me on my special birthday weekend. It was a beautiful Sunday early afternoon and the vibe was just right. Jake let my besties bring food and gifts so we had a little party within the shop. Upon walking upon, actually before you even walk in, you could tell it was a fun day. The scenery and environment were inviting, the music was blasting but it was music you could chill to. The wooden walkway and barrels were definitely a nice touch. When you walk into the "store" (I call it store because they sell their wine there BUT they also bottle their wine there so I use store rather loosely here) there are four (4) barstools but we didn't sit. There's a long table along the front window so you could people watch if you wanted to but this is where we put the munchies (mini cupcakes, frosted cupcakes, meat and cheese appetizer platter and veggie platter) and the other long table near the metal wine tanks (or whatever they are called) is where we put the balloons, my flowers and the gift bags. It's a small place but it was cozy and we felt more at home here. So onto the wines. First let me tell you..Jake is awesome and inviting and entertaining. He's not shy at all. He was knowledgeable about the wines and you could tell he takes pride in his work and the wines did not disappoint...they were all delicious. So much so that I bought all that he offered. Okay, really...onto the wines. The wines available for the day were the following: Savingnon Blanc. This was actually really subtle and light. I like it because it wasn't like some of the wines where it feels like it's kicking you in the mouth and you need something else to tone it down. It was a good sipping wine. (Now I don't me it's the guzzling kind or you will have one extreme headache. But, hey, to each their own. ) Okay, where was I? Oh yes, the Savignon Blanc. It was crisp and a little fruity. You could definitely taste the notes of green apple, peach and grapefruit. It's a nice summery type wine, at least to me. Chardonnay was next on the list. This was also pretty light. It had notes of vanilla and green apple again. I liked this one. I could taste the notes on this one a little more. Petite Sirah. This one had hints of raspberries. This one was also light which is what surprised me. I was expecting to use the "spittoon" to dump my wine out but I actually enjoyed this one. It went well with our little munchies. Double Barrel Bourbon Blend. This one was a little stronger. It was a blend of Cabernet and Petite Sirah. It was actually good and I thought I was craving a steak or some pasta with it. It was still pretty light which is what surprised me but I did like it. You could definitely taste the notes of berries and vanilla. Old Vine Zinfandel. This wine was velvety with cherry and licorice. Again, this one wasn't really my favorite. It was a little strong but still a bit light than some Zins I've tasted. I did want some steak and pasta after tasting this wine. I think it would be a good pairing. Cabernet Savignon. This wine is the full bodied wine. It intrigued me because it has notes of chocolate and berries. This one was a little lighter than more full bodied wine and I was expecting to taste chocolate since it said there were hints of chocolate but I couldn't taste it. It was still good. We did have some chocolate with us so I did have to try my chocolate and then drink the wine. It was pretty good. Moscato was next in line. This was a good sweet dessert wine but not too sweet. Of course I enjoyed it because it didn't taste like there was any alcohol in it. Sweet but deadly since you could drink the whole bottle and not realize it. It went well with my chocolate. Okay so we saved the best for last. The Sangria is made fresh weekly. The label itself will catch your eye because it's so festive. It's not often that you see Sangria in a wine bottle all ready to go. Jake warned us that this bottle happened to be the spicier sangria and boy was he right. It was good and it definitely had the kick at the end. It was spicy but it was delicious. One of my friends couldn't handle it so she made all kinds of funny faces. It was hilarious. One of my other friends told her not to waste it and so she drank it. In the end, half of us ended up with a bottle of the spicy Sangria. The atmosphere, the environment, my friends, the wines, and Jake made this an amazing birthday outing. We will definitely come back because of course after purchasing all the wines on the list (all the ones we tried), I became a member. read more

Delicious wine, great atmosphere, so many wonderful people. When I go for a drink it is my instinct to imbibe with my friends at Cork It Again. As you can tell I'm drinking wine here right now. My palate I feel has been burned at other wineries in the past that really only specialize in one type of wine, but this place I feel you can't go wrong with any of their offerings. Also this place offers an excellent diversity of wines grown various regions in California, so really aren't stuck on just one area. Owner is very passionate about wine their wine and very knowledgeable about every region his wine is sourced, you can tell he puts in his due diligence not just in the regions but also the grapes he sources themselves. Also the fresh sangria with specially created flavors are the best in the area. I got a groupon for this wine tasting room for four. We came here on a Saturday afternoon and ended up drinking here for a good 5hrs... After the tasting, we bought one of their sangria bottles to drink there and another one to go for later. I don't usually like other people's sangria bc I make a really dangerously delicious one, but this one was pretty dang good. We also bought a bottle of tempranillo that tasted just okay on its own, but smells so deliciously like cherry chocolates that I wanted one to bring home to taste with other things. Our bar tender was really nice and the atmosphere was cozy enough to pass 5hrs of time... Last thing to note, the four of us were really impressed with the white wines as we're all mainly into reds, but the whites are pretty decent here. Overall, really tasty wines. Currently sipping the LAST bottle of fresh, house made Sangria as I write 5 stars! Cork It Again makes fresh Sangria EACH WEEK, so you never know what you're going to get. Never had a blend of every berry you could imagine , brandy, triple sec, with a base of Zin and Cab with a hint of fresh mint! Eric is certainly knowledgeable, friendly, and very accommodating as a wine specialist. All wines are made in house in steel drums and infused of purely organic ingredients. In fact they have a recycle deal where you purchase their bottle of wine and come back for a refill of $1 off with their original bottle. Additionally, every second Friday of the month is Art About where the owners showcase a local artists pieces and everyone drinks wine. Sampling is almost free because you get to try 8 different wines (2oz) for $5.00. Eric helped us discover our pallets and suggested delightful pairings with each wine we tasted. Also, if you don't like an oz you can toss it out, he's not offended at all. I might be a different type of college student but I would MUCH rather spend my Friday nights enjoying wine and art In good company. New fav place. read more

What a quaint little spot! My bf and I got their groupon for wine tasting and cashed it in on a Friday night. It wasn't too busy, a couple had just left as we got in and had the place to ourselves. There was some cheese left on the platter, complementary with tasting. We sampled 7-8 wines, starting with whites, then reds and ending on sangria. It was a quick tasting experience yet very comfortable and conversational. Their staff was very friendly and knowledable! Their wines are made in Lodi but bottled here in Davis. Prices vary but all very reasonable ($13-25). We ended up getting a bottle of sangria because we couldn't agree on anything else. I cant think of anything negative to say about Cork it Again. They offer great wine at reasonable prices and have a fantastic recycling program. Some wine stores are intimidating, but the staff here is friendly and not pretentious. If you don't know what you want they can make great suggestions and always give samples to taste. I would definitely recommend going during the Davis art about (Second Friday of every month), there is always live music, local art and a free cheese spread. read more
