Not only did they provide a competitive bid but they returned my phone calls, showed up on time, honored their estimate TO THE PENNY, and absolutely killed the craftsmanship. Our stone chimney was completed over a weekend, and easily exceeded our expectations. (and all of the walkers/joggers that stop to comment about it on a daily basis.) Roger showed up with his crew and set up camp on our property for the weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed their company and shared many laughs and stories around the campfire. When we had another masonry job recently, it was nice to have a "go to" team that we knew would be up to the task. Roger, Rafi and Jack showed up on time (again), delivered exceptional work (again), stayed with us (again) and honored their estimate to the penny (AGAIN!) Casey, the owner, promptly responded to come out to look at our property and give us an estimate. We needed a lot of very tall pine trees dead branches trimmed , as well as very thick ivy infestation on one of them. Casey is a very knowledgeable arborist, and was able to give us a thorough plan of action. His crew showed up exactly on time the day of scheduled service, and they were very professional. They reviewed the plans with us, and constantly asked if we were satisfied with the work and whether or not we wanted any additional trimming needed. Very polite, professional, and friendly crew. Well, we initially asked them to keep some of the ivy on the one pine tree, for privacy reasons, but the next day, decided it looked too bad and we should have had them trim all of it away. So I contacted them requesting they come back sometime to trim all of it regardless of cost. Of course Casey responded promptly again, and stated they would come back and do it with no extra charge, and asked to remind him the following week. Just reminded him, and he responded it is on there calendar to be done asap. Great value, professionalism, honesty, expertise, and responsiveness. Any time I raised concerns with the project managers, they were quick to blame me for delays and became defensive and aggressive instead of listening. At no point did anyone take ownership of the issues I was experiencing--I felt constantly questioned, doubted, and talked down to. The demolition crew that removed my old countertops was careless and unprofessional. They never put down any protection on my brand-new floors, and while breaking apart the old stone they crushed pieces of countertop into the flooring, damaging several areas. They also punched a hole in a wall I had just repaired and said nothing--no acknowledgment, no apology, just left it for me to find later. On top of that, they left sharp broken pieces of stone inside the cabinets, on the floors, in adjoining rooms, and even in the driveway. It felt like a rushed job with zero regard for housekeeping, safety, or respect for my home. When it came time to measure for the new countertop, they incorrectly measured the area next to the refrigerator. The new top was cut too wide and is now pushing the cabinet panel out, leaving about a 1/4" gap. Instead of acknowledging the mistake, they tried to blame me--saying it was already like that or that the cabinet panel was warped--and spoke to me as if I couldn't see the obvious issue. I waited weeks to hear what the next steps would be, but no one followed up. I always had to call or show up in person to get any kind of response from project managers or sales. The finished product is also poor quality. The seam is bad enough that I can catch a fingernail on it, and the edge looks rough and under-polished. Overall, this feels like a "fast and cheap" operation geared toward large apartment jobs or quick flips--not homeowners who care about quality and detail. If you value craftsmanship, clear communication, and simply getting what you paid for without having to fight for it, I would strongly recommend going elsewhere. I regret giving them my business, and by the end I was just willing to accept whatever got me out of dealing with them any longer. I would not recommend Northwest Granite to anyone.
