If your getting any work done but especially suspension stay away. i sent my car in for new control arms and rear struts and when i got my car back the right strut bolts were not even tight. I could undo the top hat bolt with my hand! not only that but they didn't even bother to put my inner fender liners back together which is very dangerous, also each strut was missing 2 bolts!!! lastly they didnt even put my trunk liner back together. over all a half ass job. read more

In February 2024 Habheggger fixed a bad wheel bearing and then put all new tires on my 2018 Subaru Crosstrek. Had to return vehicle right away because bearing work made a loud noise. Then in July I was going to rotate the tires myself (I do all my own tire rotations) and found one stripped bolt and lug nuts I couldn't remove. Took it to Goodyear tire and found I had two stripped bolts. They said this sometimes happens on Subarus because the pitch on the bolts is finer. I was lucky I detected this bad auto shop work at home and not via a flat tire on the side of a freeway somewhere. I will not use this shop again. read more

I've gone there in the past for tire repairs, and while they have done good work in the past, I cannot recommend them any more. Today I tried contacting them about making an appointment for a tire repair and a young lady picked up and immediately started going, "Hello? Hello?" as if she couldn't hear. At this point I called with my office phone, thinking that something was wrong, same result. Since it's extremely unlikely that both phones were not working, my guess is they were refusing to take orders and did not want to admit so. After waiting a moment to try calling again, I received a notice that "This mailbox is not set up" (after I have left messages for them just that morning) so good luck even contacting them to get any work done. read more

I took my 53 studebaker which has a 10 bolt chevrolet axle in for repair. I 've know of these guys for a while. I know Johnny from auto ,brake ,clutch and gear. The owners son took my car and beat the crapp out of my car ruining the transmission. Had to get it rebuilt because he did'nt want to just check the rear end. This is the most ungodly think a person could do. I wouldn't trust this owner to even add windshield fluid to my car. Yes, I have proof. read more

Best prices and best service. Very kind and caring guys that work here. I had always had my dad fix things on my car, but when I moved to Milwaukee, I was scared to take it to anyone else. Luckily I found Habheggar's when it seemed a dozen things were going wrong with my car. After a different mechanic tore off part of the front bumper shield under my car, Habheggar's bolted it back on for free! They also fixed my check engine light issues within a few hours of me leaving for a roadtrip, and I had no problems the entire time I drove to and from Athens, GA. I never want to move out of Milwaukee because I'm afraid that I'll never find a mechanic as good as this one. As a 20-something female, I always have this fear that mechanics are trying to take advantage of me and my lack of car knowledge by tacking on extra costs for things that I don't actually need, but I wouldn't know any better. He'll explain to me what's wrong with my car in words I can actually understand, give me a fair price quote (and often end up coming in UNDER what he quotes me!) and finish the job quickly. In order to explain the excellence of service i received here I have to tell everyone a funny and slightly embarrassing story. Alright so im driving along to work and EEEK GASP NO the evil light of tire pressure to low dooom light comes up! oooops well time to get air! Fun air pump time. Anyway so Hey BP nice to see ya I need some gas and some air! Right, so yep here I am in my skirt and my combat getting intimate with my tires and im like wtf this tire wont inflate beyond 22 PSI (not good people not good) Hmm! Right so Whatever I go to work leave early to get my tire looked at assuming my tire has a hole of epic proportions. So, I pull in to Habhegger like crap guys my ride has a defunct tire. They take it im grumbling abo ut new tire costs the guy comes back within like 15 mins going Sweet your ready to go have a nice day you dont owe us a thing. Insert Deer in headlight look. Guy smiles and goes your tire was fine just needed air. At this point Im like bumbling like an idiot going wait wait but but but i I I I did put air in it. Holy crap like for 2 minutes i was putting air in it. And he laughs and goes the gas station air hose was probably broken so we filled your air you are ready to go. My face flamed red I never would have thought about that auto assume it was my tire. Needless to say this guy was so friendly and not patronizing and they didnt charge me even for there time. Yep, i can safely say that if i needed a car repair I would come to this place they won my trust just by not jacking me on something stupid. Dennis is good people!!! Tested and tuned up our car when it was sputtering after competitor was trying to gouge us. He stayed open late to finish car (on a Saturday no less) and gave us a very reasonable price. Dennis and the mechanics at Habhegger Wheel and Axle are the best. I have been taking my car there for several years and couldn't be happier. They are fair, take excellent care of my car, and treat me with respect. On a Saturday afternoon (after they had closed) my brakes needed to be replaced. I called Dennis and he told me to come in that day. I was expecting to just drop it off and pick it up after the weekend. I also expected I would have to rent a car as I had an obligation on Sunday.
