After I left my mom's house, I heard a clicking sound. Windows were down and radio was off, which made this possible. Past experience has taught me that the sound is from a nail in my tire or a rock stuck in the tread of a tire. I pulled over and found a large sheet metal screw in the driver's side front tire. I added the maintenance package to my tires when I bought them because I knew my 4+ years of no tire issues was bound to end, except I couldn't get through when I called, and they were about a 25 minute drive away via the highway, which wouldn't be the smartest move to attempt. Pulled up local tire shops and Waheed's was the nearest with a 4 1/2 star rating on Yelp. Called them up, explained my situation, and they said come right over. I pulled up, told the gentleman which tire had the screw in it, he guided me toward backing up and forward and turning wheels until he saw it. Then he grabbed his tools and a plug, removed the screw and plugged the hole without me even leaving my car! I heard a little air escape for a few seconds between removing the screw, prepping the hole, and plugging it, but the tire pressure light didn't come on, so he assured me I was good to go. No issues at all since the repair. I'll call my tire store anyway to follow up, but Waheed's showed me why they are highly rated, and I highly recommend them. I had a slow leak in my passenger side front tire. I was able to pull right up without an appointment, and they immediately jacked up the car, removed the tire, checked it in the bath for air bubbles, and then sanded the walls of the tire for the price of $20. Went to Mr. P's to have the leaks fixed on my wife's car. For whatever reason the chain smoking manager wouldn't do the work so I went to Waheed's and they fixed the leaks in the tires, balanced them and rotated them for me in about 20 minutes no questions asked. After reading so many positive reviews, I tried calling several times to see if I could get a leaking tire checked out. All 3 times, the call went unanswered (within business hours) and the voicemail was full. While I understand that things are busy and perhaps there is no one around to answer, I would expect to be able to at least leave a voicemail. Soooooo, I called Sunday at 11:49am, they told me they were closing at 12:30pm (instead of the posted 2pm) and to bring the car in morning at 8:30 (since they open at 8am). Had a flat last summer. Took the tire off and rolled it over there from my house a block away. I figured I'd have to get a new tire. Instead they found a puncture in the tire and patched it. Ten bucks, and they did it right away. After rolling the tire back, and putting it on I brought em back a couple PBR tallboys to enjoy after their shift. They seemed more happy to help than I was. I was trying to find an inexpensive place to help me mount my snow tires onto my rims and then onto my car. I lived in Detroit last year and knew a bunch of small little garages that could do it for me cheaply...so I was pretty disappointed when I tried calling several places in the area and was getting quoted upwards of $100 for the job!!! I just needed a basic mount. So, I started my quest to find a good deal in Milwaukee. Waheed's is the place for good service, and for less than 1/2 of what other places were charging I came away happy. So happy that I brought my gf's car back to have them fix a small leak. Would not recommend at all. Very unprofessional to put it mildly. Between the alcoholic/ drug addict workers scamming customers and my wheel that I just paid to have serviced falling off in rush hour traffic with my three year old grandchild in the car, I don't believe professionalism is what they are aiming for at all. Unless you feel like playing with your life, have your car serviced elsewhere. On the flip side, you might be able to pick up a hooker off of the lot while you wait since they tend to have a few hanging around all of the time. read more

These guys are awesome!! I called for a quote on a tire seal and spare replacement and was told I could come in whenever and they'd get me in and out - they weren't kidding. I drove over on my lunch break from downtown (10 mins) and they got the job done in under 15. I was back at work within 45 minutes. I called a couple places for prices before coming here. As a girl who knows very little about cars, they could have easily upcharged me and I wouldn't have known any better but I appreciate their fair and honest pricing. I bought 4 more tires at Waheed Tires this evening, almost a year to the day that I got the flat & wrote my first review. Total charge for 4 decent Goodyear used tires (in my difficult to find tire size): $160. Awesome. And as always, the gentlemen at Waheed's were very kind to me & the service was prompt. I've sent some of my coworkers here to have tires plugged, spares put on, etc. and they each have the same experience. These guys do quality work and you just can't beat the price. PLUS they're genuinely nice; I've run into more than a few auto service guys who seemed to act rude or belittling toward female customers because of the assumed lack of knowledge about cars. When your car is broken down, you don't need some dude's snarkiness; you just need someone to be courteous & fix it. That's exactly what you get here. read more

I was directed to this place as a quick and inexpensive fix to a tire problem I was having. I initially took my vehicle to another tire place, which we'll call Mr. P's (on 76th and Florist), and my car left in worse condition than when it'd arrived. I was happy to find that the gentleman at Waheed appeared courteous, professional, and were very helpful. The used tire was only $30, and they told me that once I received the TPMS sensor that I can bring it back to them and they would install it at no additional cost. I went there today and they were excellent. I didn't have to wait that long (and there were at least 3 cars that came at the same time as me). They listened to what I wanted (my tire resealed and replacing the spare) and did it like that! The drive was longer than the wait to be honest. These guys are awesome. Took in my car with a donut and a nail in the tire. $20 for the tire plug and "whatever I want" for labor. Five minutes later I was back on the road. Polite and helpful people. Don't take your car to the chain stores, keep it local. I will be going here for all those pesky tire needs. I had a leaky tire on my Subaru. The hole was on the sidewall so it was unrepairable. I have read that you should never mix tires on an AWD vehicle, but with 150k miles on my car, I'm not too worried about it at this point. I called and they confirmed they had the tire in stock. I was in and out in 15 minutes for $47 ($5 to dispose of the old tire and $2 to use a credit card). Way less than a new set of tires! Overall the service was friendly and fast. You might not stop here if you didn't read the reviews, but it is a great place to go for an inexpensive tire repair or replacement. Highly recommended! read more

I like these guys and found them very friendly and fast, but I think their professionalism can be all over the place, so you sort of have to be aware of what to expect. I found an extra rim to use as a spare for my truck, then bought a new tire online and brought both to Waheed's to mount/balance. They're right around the corner from me, so I figured I'd give them a try rather than giving my business to a chain. They were fast, and I did not need an appointment, but while the owner quoted me one price, the gentleman who actually installed the tire told me "don't forget to forget to tip" if I wanted a valve stem and the balancing done. I felt that was a little strange - those things are usually just regarded as a given when installing a tire, not a tipped extra service. No issues with the work they did, but from my experiences and some other reviews I've read, I think a clearer pricing structure would be a good idea. I think most customers would rather get quoted the entire price up front and then possibly tip if the work was exceptional, rather than feel like work was being withheld for a tip. read more

Going to Summerfest 18' and got parked. Just then the low tire pressure came on. Did a yelp search for tire repair on a Saturday afternoon. Waheed's came up so headed there right away. Drove up, did tire pressure check and was low must have a puncture. They took tire off, found and plugged puncture. All within 15 minutes of getting there and reasonably priced. I really am having trouble understanding the five star reviews for this place. I saw this was highly rated on Yelp so after dealing with a slow leak in my back tire for a couple days I decided to stop by. John helped me and found a huge screw in the tire and plugged it up. I assumed a plug would be 10-20 bucks right? He charged me 40 dollars. I asked if I could use my card, he said "we only take cash on Sunday's" weird right? But I just went with it because I don't know why. I told him I didn't have cash and he told me I could drive him to the atm a block over. So I did. We went into the corner store together and I took out 40 dollars, gave it to him, he immediately bought 20 dollars of malt liquor with it.. I mean fine whatever but definitely one of the weirdest experiences I've had. Anyway all in all the plug didn't work, my tps light came on the next morning on my way home from work. Feeling too uncomfortable from the last experience and not having a receipt I just went somewhere else. The guy told me the hole was in the sidewall and I needed a new tire. So I paid 40 dollars for nothing and have no proof because he didn't give me a receipt. I get that I'm stupid and should of known but like also someone ripped me off and that's not cool.
