This was my first time here, I went in on June 30th, the staff was very nice, I did feel it took them longer than it should have to bring over my hookah, I was by myself. I thought I was going to get the happy hour special, when the bill came, it was $35 instead of $20, they said since I came in at 6:09 PM they would not honor the happy hour, given it is their right as a business and it is their policy, it left a very bad taste on my mouth as a first time customer, and I will say that them not making an exception just lost a potential recurring patron over them making an extra $15. Luckily, Habibi's Lounge offers live music on Fridays (9pm-11pm) and Sundays (8pm-10pm). We arrived around 8:15pm on Sunday and were able to get seated without a reservation. The live band was amazing and played a lot of classic Arabic hits. The Watermelon Mint Hookah was also pretty solid. It lasted for the 2 hours we were there and side note - despite being in a basement, the ventilation in here is great. Despite the hookah itself being good, being Middle Eastern myself and of all the hookah lounges I've been to, I have never heard of "double tobacco" which we felt pushed to get and paying for the disposable hose is crazy. Like what was my other hose option and why isn't that included in the $30 price tag already? These little money grabs turn me off from wanting to come back. The House Tea was a typical black tea which was sweet and slightly minty. They come around frequently to top your cup off which was great. It seems like Boston doesn't have much of a hookah scene so Habibi's Lounge did the job. Good time, overall! read more

First and foremost I would definitely say the customer service is amazing. It didn't take long before my friends and I were greeted & seated. The parking around the area is decent but they do not have dedicated parking so prepare for street parking. The servers frequently check up on you and always have a smile on their face. We order Tea and they did not let our cups go empty for long big kudos to them. I didn't not buy Hookah because I don't smoke but I did buy food! I've tried their Baklava, Arabic coffee, Hummus, Mint Tea and their Mixed Shawarma Platter. The food that I had eaten was small in portion I ordered a lot but was not nearly full. Typically Platters are made to share, but honestly I could have eaten 4 platters on my own and not even have felt half full the way the portion sizes are. The Arabic Coffee was in an extremely small cup 1/4 of your palm size and was not worth the $6 to get it, not only the coffee but these choices were some of the most expensive on the menu. The bread to hummus ratios was pretty scarce! Their Mint Tea tho was my absolute favorite, I drank so many cups, I would comeback for the tea alone. Aside from the food the themes, art, and structure of the restaurant is unique. They have round couches, unique Calligraphy, and beautiful lighting throughout the establishment. Very cool and chill spot below street level. Amazing spot to listen to Arabic Music and smoke Hookah. The band on Sunday night was so so good. This place is located in a perfect spot which goes into the basement and watch out for street parking. (I was here on a Saturday evening and we had to park a couple of blocks away). The hookah was served perfect as the pots were rigid and lasted for about more than hour without any trouble. They have an unlimited refill house tea that goes perfectly well. This place is super chill and very authentic for good hookah. Definitely the only place worth going in Boston. I don't even try to go on the weekends since it gets insanely busy and even going on a Tuesday night it got packed. Every so often there is live music, otherwise it has Arabic music going. On a cold winter's eve, a group of 4 friends visited Habibi's Lounge, as there is absolutely nothing exciting to do elsewhere in Brookline. Upon arrival, we realized it was a cockfest and we were the only girls. Tinder dream come true? Sign me up. Just kidding, they were all fratty college guys. This lounge was packed with so many of them it was uncomfortable as heck, but we stayed anyways! The hookah was strong and they offer a variety of flavors. ~20-25 each. But behold, they serve unlimited mint Moroccan tea! It was so perfect and made us very mellow and relaxed. I'm convinced they spiked the tea with unicorn tears. It's ok. Hookah is about 25$ which is about the most expensive for basic sheesha I've seen anywhere in the world. Seating is also fairly limited that you tend to share with others. Atmosphere was ok. I feel it would have been better with more circulation. Staff were good about giving you new coals but they don't blow the old ash from the well or anything. We went here on a cold day, we were a group of 5 however only 3 of us are Hookah smokers. However we were told it's mandatory to have 2 Hookahs even tho our friends weren't smoking. I'm not a big smoker, so to have 2 hookahs between 3 of us was really excessive! The lounge isn't very ventilated and most of the time it just feels like you're suffocating. The waitress also asked us if we would like tea, with which we responded no thank you, so she said I'll just bring you one each for you to try and then next thing you know 5 teas were charged to our bill and we didn't even enjoy the tea. Reasons for bad rating: 1. This place might be colder than outside lol. We did enjoy the hookah at first but it was so cold in the room that we could not be fully relaxed but felt like we are shuddering in a Eskimo's igloo 2. Many of us felt sick after we left.
