We bought cigars for groomsmen boxes. We have no idea what is a "good" cigar. Demian was very helpful and took the time to explain different brands. Ultimately we went with My Father Cigars including a special New England one for his brother/best man who lives in Seattle. Excellent space, plenty of areas to sit and relax that make it feel high end. Plenty of parking around the area and easy to access. Just blown away by the owners customer service. Really wants to share his knowledge, experience and love of cigars. As a newcomer, this was much appreciated as it can be a little intimidating walking into a humidor with walls lined with products you aren't familiar with. He was super helpful and non judgmental. In a state where Maura Healey creates gun law by whim and Microsoft Word, and Elizabeth Warren and Ed Markey are taken seriously, how is a place like this even possible? What a gem. You walk in and either help yourself in the humidor room, or ask for assistance from the helpful staff. The cigars a little bit steep (thanks again Massachusetts for that 25% tax on cigars) but well worth it. Grab a leather chair, get a good burn on your stick, sit back, and enjoy. Nobody is going to call you a deplorable for enjoying a good smoke, and the worst thing that's gonna happen here is that a tv will be too loud. Perfect, unlikely place. read more

This place is top notch for the cigar lover. Their recently renovated space is large and includes four TV's to watch whatever we want. The cigar selection here is one of the best in town and the prices are reasonable. The lounge is very welcoming to anyone what walks through the door. It's not like other lounges that are stuck-up or unwelcoming to newcomers. This place welcomes you like it's home! That's why I love it! Very good selection of cigars, comfortable seating and plenty of HD Tv's for watching sports or movies. The friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff will greet you upon arrival and escort you into their large humidor to make your selection from their wide selection. I have found my home away from home. In fact, I told my wife that she may never see me again! I visited Cigar and Lounge for the first time recently as was blown away. As soon as I walked in Damien welcomed me and invited me in to the humidor. Many shops watch you in the humidor like you are a shoplifter. But not Damien. He instantly struck up a conversation and I could tell that he has a deep knowledge and passion for cigars. He truly wanted to help me find something I would enjoy. The selection here is amazing. I only intended to buy one or two cigars, but the longer I lingered in the humidor the more treasures I found. I was very pleased and impressed by the selection of Nicaraguan cigars (and lanceros.) My friends, including the one and only Chuck Berry, arrived after me and we relaxed with our cigars in the lounge. Damien came by our table to make sure we were enjoying our cigars and to say goodbye to his new friends as it was his time to go home. We then had some time to chat with the other owner, Big Mike. He is equally as friendly and passionate. I really felt like we were just hanging out in our friend, Big Mike's, basement. Cigar and Lounge is a couple of blocks off of Mt Auburn St in Waltham in a neighborhood setting. Parking is a breeze. I was happy to learn from Big Mike that the neighborhood is very supportive of their business. read more

Perhaps my expectations were too high on this one. The shop was clean, staff were friendly, and they had the cigars that I was looking for. Prices were consistent with Mass generally as well. For me though, 5-stars means little to no room for improvement. The shop is in a residential area and parking options are a bit thin. Also, the furniture had seen much better days. Some is either very old/abused or possibly second hand. More of a larger version of a home-owner built man-cave. Don't get me wrong, I don't see anything wrong with that and the staff and customers were very nice to spend time with. I just don't think it merits 5-stars. Ok, now that that bandaid has been quickly removed, I can say that I would visit them again if in the area. Comparatively, it's the best place around. read more

This is a nice local laid back place. I enjoy dropping by for a cigar, conversation, and just hang. The clientele is easy going and you can have a good conversation. The TV often has The Game on, but they have movie nights. It is bring your own food, people have little reception here with cake et al. They expanded and it's even better now. read more

Been once, and loved it. The gentleman that I spoke with was very knowledgeable. A few more visits, and I feel I'll get a decent education. They have a great selection, of interesting cigars, best selection I know of in the Watertown / Brighton / Allston / Newton area. I told him one cigar that I liked, and he was able to give me a history lesson, along with like 5 more I'm gonna have to try. They don't have booze, but they have comfy couches, and a nice TV, with video games. I'm sold. I don't play; but I hear they have poker games pretty regularly too. However I do think they should sell 20oz bottles of water for $1, just so there's something to drink. EDIT: They will actually give you water if you just ask. read more

I had the day off yesterday, and decided to swing by and check it out. This place is set up like a lounge, but has the more intimate setting of a cigar shop. I spent a good amount of time talking to Damien, one of the owners, about cigars, lounges, and industry stuff. Needless to say this place although off the beaten path is definitely worth checking out. I will be back there again, when I have some time. Their selection of cigars are nice, some name brand smokes and some boutique stuff. If you are looking to hang out and smoke with some people this is worth the drive. read more

I wanted to get about 30 cigars for my brother-in-law's wedding, but when it comes to cigars I'm a fish out of water. I went here because: 1. I'm all about supporting a local business 2. My cousin loves this place and 3. They offer bulk discounts First impression when walking into the place is that I felt like I was walking into a house with a really nice living room that smelled of my godfather's smoking room. Yes, he has one, he's rich, I am not. I was greeted immediately by Demian and I told him my situation. I did not notice the time, but I felt like we talked, debated and brain stormed forever. I did not feel rushed. I did not get any attitude when I told him I wasn't looking for fancy, just a solid cigar that someone who knows nothing of cigars wouldn't say "Is this a Phillie?" Long story short, I walked out of there with a generous discount on a brick of 'solid' cigars, 5 high end ones, one for myself, a jar of great matches, and he sold me a 'used' cigar cutter for next to nothing. So why the five stars? Honest man selling honest products in a completely laid back, unpretentious manner. I smoke a pipe, but I will be coming back to this place to have the occasional cigar in a great atmosphere and to return his cutter that I really only need for the wedding night. I had a dream of opening a cigar shop and these guys pretty much nailed the vision in my head. The place is really nice. Lots of comfy seating, huge TV, poker table, dart board, free wifi and oh yeah - a walk in humidor with an amazing selection of cigars. I spoke with Damien (I hope the spelling is correct?) , one of the owners and he's super nice and very knowledgable about cigars. He knows his $hit and is not a snob about it.
