The fried tempura green beans are great. I liked Habit Burger fries when they first opened. I'm not sure if they changed their fries or how they fry them or what they fry them in, but it would be great to know that info. I think the Burger in Habit Burger has not been prioritized and the regular charburger seems to have dropped in quality. The sandwich with chicken, avocado, and bacon was good. They have also started handing the payment slider to people in the drive thru, with the first screen asking the customer to tip. This is the first time I have experienced it at Habit, and I don't know if it is a new policy, but I will be taking my business elsewhere. People can tip inside, but this is a bad policy to have every business CEO ask the customer to pay the living wages of their employees. CEOs can redistribute their own salary to the frontline workers. An order of fried tempura green beans and a charburger with no cheese was just under $13. The green beans were great. Ordered a teriyaki char and bbq char meal. The teriyaki char came with no pineapple the BBQ char had no crispy onion strings and instead had raw onions. The fries were cold. The worker said they were out of pineapple and crispy oinion strings. Thats the signature or those 2 burgers. So she tried just passing it off hoping we would not notice. Asked for a refund the lady was very rude and refused to refund my money. Had to talk to a manager and the worker didnt want to get me a manager No phone number to call corporate. The "server" called out the food order at the counter and walked away before I could even get up, had to flag her down again to get the 2 drink cups that I also paid for. Then I realized the chicken wrap was missing the chicken, had to flag the girl down again to let her know, and she said they would remake it, 10 minutes later we just left because they were too busy mopping the floors (at 130 in the afternoon?!?)to worry about their mistake (while another customer was trying to flag someone down because his fries were cold). on 4/08/26: purchased a BAJA FISH SANDWICH for $11.99, small sandwich for that price! The onion rings were overcooked, and the ranch dressing was NOT included. Also purchased a Santa Barbara Cobb salad. I asked that NO bacon be added to the salad. They said, "No problem." In my photo are all the bacon pieces I picked off. For religious reasons, I do not eat pork. They should have told me they would "pick off" the bacon. This restaurant has slid further and further since its opening. The burgers here are awesome! Everyday when I pass by the long line at the In-N-Out Burger I just can't figure it out? Have those people not tried the habit yet? Because I assure them if they tried The Habit they would be going there and making a long line. The burgers are so much better than In-N-Out! Their fries and onion rings are the bomb! I just think not enough people know about The Habit yet and that's why it hasn't taken off. If you love burgers, fries and onion rings you've got to go and try The Habit. You won't be disappointed. Ahh, I literally yelp everything and should've yelped this place but I was tired and just got off of work. Ordered chicken nuggets and green bean tempura. Waited about 10 mins and saw who I learned to be the MANAGER bagging many bags of food - including my own - with the same pair of gloves he used to exchange money and wipe counters. Even his staff did the same. He gave me my food, I asked him pretty much why he did that and he turned around saying I'll make you another. NO, I'd like a refund and he played w the register for a moment and said it'll take a few days to issue back bc he has to get authorization or something that really made no sense at all. Then when I asked for proof that I requested a refund and that I actually didn't take the meal he spent 10 minutes "looking" for my receipt on the computer. Mind you, it was like 9p i think & there weren't more than 10 ppl ordering thru the drive thru after me and only 1 other person dining in.. I ended up disputing it w my bank. I made a complaint to Butte dpmt of public health and submitted feedback to speak w regional manager and of course no one will connect me w their regional manager lol. Team member at this location was rude. I waited at the drive thru window to pick up my food and waited there for about 15 minutes. Nobody acknowledged me and said we'll be right with you or anything. I watched the two team members continue to take orders and make things for the dine in orders while ignoring my meal for 15 minutes. So we tried the habit in Chico last night for the first time and I got a burger with cheese, the regular combo and my lovely man got a Santa Fe cobb with instead of chicken he got a burger patty (not much meat) it was good. I mean we got two meals out of it. the salad was big so we're going to eat that tonight for dinner again adding more meat but I'm going to say the burger was super salty like I couldn't even taste the flavor of the charbroil because it was so salty But not bad I mean it was good. Today I went to this place for the first time. I had never tried it before. Yikes! Sadly, some of the worst food I've ever tasted. I bought one of their burgers, and their Santa Barbara Cobb Salad. The burger was greasy, messy, and tasted bland and burnt. Carl's Jr., Burger King, In-and-Out, Wendy's, and pretty much any other fast food place has better-tasting burgers. Hate to say it, but this place is basically bottom of the barrel as far as food quality goes. The salad tasted even worse. The lettuce was gross, tasted like it was expired, the bacon tasted weird, and rubbery. The chicken tasted weird as well, and it was about as bad as the meat from the burger. The dressing they provided was watery, tasted strange, was too salty, and made the salad taste mushy and watery as well. That being said, the service was 50/50. The gal at the drive through speaker was a bit snappy and seemed impatient, and she was rude to the guy behind me (I overheard him ordering, when I was pulling up towards the pick-up window). My favorite burger has finally made its way to my city. Having recently moved to Chico from Santa Barbara, I was fairly disappointed to see that their burger restaurant options were lacking. Imagine my excitement when I learned that Santa Barbara's best spot would be opening up. I grew up there before The Habit was even a chain and have fond childhood memories of biting into a char burger. The food at this new location tastes just like home. The venue is in a new building on the north side of town with easy freeway access and a drive-thru. While private parking isn't very ample, the lot still does have several spots. It's located on a busy road with good visibility. The restaurant itself is well-designed and clean with lots of seating along with a front patio. Service was wonderful and I could tell the staff were going the extra mile to make my experience a positive one. For being such a new place, I was impressed by the level of service. My food tasted excellent too. No frills for me, just their standard burger - but I will say the salads are also remarkable. I was also intrigued by their limeade selection. I have never heard of "The Habit" before. The establishment stands out as you drive down Cohasset and makes you want to stop in! I actually had no idea there was a drive-thru in the back. I decided to park and head in for a burger. I ordered the Santa Barbara Char & an order of Tempura Green Beans. It was 4pm on a Sunday and the line was to the door. This place newly opened up so that's not a surprise. I waited not long at all before I was up at the register. I thought it was cool they offered other things on the menu that weren't just burgers. They have a Chicken Club, Tenderloin Steak and even an Ahi Tuna Filet amongst other things. They even have a Vegan sandwhich which my friend will be pleased to hear!
