I would never put my baby on this filthy changing table.

Food was 7/10 but the restaurant was dirty. This was most noticeable in the woman's bathroom. All fixable.

I was moving my son into the dorms last weekend and we wanted to go out to dinner with some of his new soccer teammates and their families. We have been to Burgers N Brew in Davis and West Sacramento often so we knew it would be a great bet! I ordered my usual (Bacon Bleu Cheese Burger with a salad) and my son ordered a steak sandwich for the first time! He said it was good, but I think he will stick to his usual next time (hot dog and fries). Our service was great. We were a group of 8 and the cashier had us order together but we paid separately on one tab. He said he wanted all of our food to come out at the same time. It was a weird way to do it, but it worked. The restaurant was very clean and inviting. We drank water and had to get up a few times to refill our cups. It would have been nice to have been offered a pitcher of water...but we also didn't ask for one. Everyone else enjoyed their food. I raved over the balsamic dressing on the salad and they loved that too!! We will definitely eat here again when we are up visiting the boys!

Visited September 26th..see my receipt as always. After having suishi at the Rawbar ( awesome place) we did some shopping and saw this place and decided to check it out. It's a cool beer and burgers place with indoor and outside seating. It has a ton of beers to choose from! Although I am not a beer drinker we did try a few samples offered by Nico ( really nice and cordial employee). We decided on sharing a pale ale and got the garlic fries as well. We only nibbled on the fries because we had suishi awhile ago but we loved that there was alot of garlic on the crunchy fries! Very tasty! More leftovers! It had a nice cool and relaxing vibe. If you love beer then this is the place to go! Fun and relaxing environment. Kiddos welcome with kids menu. Fur babies also welcome. Nothing fancy...Great for University area!

Burgers Done Right -- Props to the Latino Kitchen Crew Food solid 5 , but hygiene n cleanliness is critical -1(waste basket overflow, dirty towels on floors, empty toilet rolls on the floor tossed and on top of the toilet paper holder, spit on the floor and sink had food debris possible vomit) First time at Burgers n Brew and it hit the spot! We ordered the BLT with onion rings and an onion mushroom cheeseburger cooked medium-rare with steak fries -- juicy, full of flavor, and made just right. The BLT had that crisp chicharrón-style bite just as I asked for it, and the onion rings were golden and crunchy. Drinks were on point too -- an ice-cold 20 oz Sierra Nevada and a 16 oz Guinness that came out perfectly chilled. Only downside: the women's restroom really needed attention, especially considering there was enough staff on hand to keep it clean. But the Latino kitchen crew absolutely rocked it -- hardworking men putting out delicious food with pride and consistency. Major props to them! Overall, a tasty experience and worth a visit if you're craving a solid burger and brew.

Good brew! Really good Fish Sammy...fresh and tasty. Equally good service ....was a bit bothered to find one ladies stall taped off and other toilet not flushing . Server didn't seem too concerned and as I needed to use restroom my stay was shortened. Good food ....just more attention to facilities needed .

First and last time I will visit this place. I ordered a mushroom burger with NO onions and NO bun. Also the garlic fries. They put onions on my burger and a bun when I clearly said no to both. Up charge for garlic fries, little to no garlic! The fries were awful. The hamburger patty was so dry, and there was what was equal to one mushroom sliced. The side of ranch and the ketchup tasted very old! I got water but couldn't drink it, it was like sewer water. I ended up getting a sprite that was ok. Very slow service for crappy food! Atmosphere was so loud with noise, I don't even think there was music playing. Never ever again! I feel like I'm going to throw up from the little amount of food that I did eat. (Hamburger patty and about 6 fries) I don't think they ever clean the tables, so sticky and dirty!! Hope I don't get food poisoning!! Very over priced.

Late afternoon lunch at this wonderful brew pub. Our drinks were ice cold and tasty. About the food..... Recommendation for everything! Fresh 1/2 lb burger with bacon mixed in and done perfectly. The turkey avocado melt was tender yet crunchy and ultimately tasty. I've been going to Chico for years and my first time here We will go again due to the extensive brew and food menu. Order at bar, get your drink and enjoy!

Avocado Cheeseburger with additional bacon (2 slices) and portobello mushroom, side of garlic curly fries; best meal I've had in Chico.
    Erwin M.

Pretty simple synopsis here if you're in the Chico area; if you love hamburgers and pair it with a cold frosty beer, then make you're way here pronto. The décor is wooden with a long bar for beers, inside and outdoor seating. You walk up to the register, order your burger of preference, sit at your table, and wait for your meal to be brought out to you. On this current day, my custom order was the Avocado Cheeseburger with the addition of a Portobello mushroom patty & slices of bacon; side of garlic curly fries is always palate pleasure. Our very friendly server brought out my party of 8's group of food with smile and charisma of a sunrise on a clear summer morning. The Russian River STS Pils set in front of was cold and just asking to be gulped down with immediacy. On first bite, the fluffy sesame seed bun did it's best to encase all the fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and onions within its circumference. The avocado slices were clean and plentiful. The seasoned patty of the portobello mushroom covered the 1/2 patty perfectly ensuring a taste of the toadstool on every bite. The 1/2 lb patty was a perfect medium-rare with a beautiful pinkish hue, seasoned well, with a detectable Maillard crust. It was a patty of ground beef so superb, whirling in on my taste buds, melding with all the toppings, and combining again in a swirl of savory flavors so delightful. This is no ordinary meal of grilled beef and seasoned buns. This is God himself, communicating to me through a cuisine of delight. My dear Burgers and Brew of Chico, Ca. You've made a believer that there is a place that knows how to prepare a burger and what to serve with it. Keep doing what you do and many will appreciate your craft and efforts.

I'm curious about the breakfast fries, can anyone vouch for em?

They're ridiculously good. Pro tip: get an extra egg on them. It's my go-to menu item.

Do they have just beer or other tasteful drinks?and what Burger should you suggest to try before going on the healthy road like going out with a bang burger lol?

They have other drinks as well! Their beer selection is excellent though. My personal favorite is the Spicy Guacamole Cheeseburger, but they have really good specials from time to time. Also, I highly recommend their sweet potato fries with the…

I especially loved the curly cheese fries, and the fried chicken sandwich was good too. The place is steeped in history. I'm not really a bar person and the energy isn't quite my vibe, but there's a lot to appreciate--especially the wild ceilings packed with random items. It's unique and full of character, even if it isn't perfectly aligned with my usual preferences. My husband, a local who grew up in Butte County, shared some great stories about his Chico State days, back when this was still a quieter town of wealthy families with unpaved roads. Those little pieces of local history made the visit even more interesting. A solid, character-filled stop if you enjoy the Bar vibe, you're hungry after a hike and open to a place with real personality.

Loads of TVs with a variety of sports events playing. We ordered at the counter and then sat down at a table. We only waited about 15 minutes to get our food. My son and I ordered the Great Bacon Burger and specialized it to our liking. I ordered the side salad and he got curly fries. His roommate ordered the Near Burger with curly fries. When we got our food, the boys' burgers were not the way they had ordered them (one had cheese and the other had tomatoes). And it wasn't clear was whose was whose. My side salad was basic basic fare. I should have ordered the curly fries. I probably won't be back, but it was fun to visit the iconic Chico restaurant.

We had kids with us, so we got there an hour before it became 21+. Everyone was friendly, the food came pretty quick relative to how hopping it was. We ordered: Pho-rench dip (w/fries)--I think this was a DDD sandwich, so it's not some hidden gem, but it was super tasty. You cannot go wrong. The slight lime-iness of the dipping broth really kicked it into turbo. Also, we all likes the steak fries--a note on that later. Chicken Cheese Steak (w/fries)--my wife loved it. I tried a bite, and it was great--a little mushroom-forward, but we like that. Mac and Cheese--do not be fooled by the slightly smaller bowl, it is very filling. My son can eat his birth weight in pasta, and he had to tap out! I tried a bite--it was creamy (not grainy at all), and was just the right amount of salty and cheese-funky. Grilled cheese and tomato soup (w/fries)--perhaps the least successful for my family, but only because my daughter prefers a smoky/spicy tomato soup, and this was more on the sweet side. The griled cheese was of the "crispy cheese on the outside" ilk, which my daughter thought was really good. So, totally would go again. IMPORTANT NOTE (to people traveling through Chico, or who don't want to take leftovers)--the sandwiches are pretty big, and the add-on fry order is also sizeable. If we were going again tomorrow, we would either order 1 fry instead of 3. Or split a sandwich. Very very good pub.

It's a wonderful concept and I support them now more than ever, especially since they are the only game in town for this format. The prices are reasonable, especially with their combos, the buns are top shelf... the *only* thing that I miss from O.G. Burger Hut? Their "secret sauce" -- it was like a Thousand Island dressing minus the pickle bits. The "house sauce" at Big Chico Burger is a little more garlicky and doesn't quite nail it the way Burger Hut did, but this is just my opinion, not even close to being a "deal breaker", and I can live with the way it is without complaining because the "house sauce" is still very adequate and enjoyable, I just like the O.G. sauce from the 1980s better. Bottom line, Big Chico Burger gets two thumbs up, we love and support them as a staple, locally owned business, and invite them to open up another location if they think they can handle it (you can!).

I blame my daughter for this review…read more Last week we were headed to sushi when the smell coming from Parkside Tap House ambushed us on the sidewalk. Being pregnant, she's operating with heightened food detection abilities that rival military technology, so she immediately declared, "We're coming back here." A week later we returned with her boyfriend and brother, and what followed can best be described as a competitive eating event. The hostess greeted us warmly, got us seated quickly, and we settled into the lively outdoor patio. Great atmosphere, cold drinks, sports on the TVs, and just enough energy to feel fun without feeling chaotic. We started with ahi bites, beer cheese pretzels, jalapeño poppers, and Brussels sprouts. The ahi bites were fantastic. Fresh ahi, creamy avocado, crispy wontons, and a little heat at the finish line. The pretzels were soft enough to pull apart with your fingers and the beer cheese was rich and addictive. The jalapeño poppers got an unexpected upgrade from the blackberry BBQ sauce, which gave them a sweet, smoky personality all their own. Then there were the Brussels sprouts. Whoever thought of pairing Brussels sprouts with blackberry drizzle deserves a raise. Sweet, savory, crispy, tender, and impossible to stop eating. For dinner we sampled the taco bowl, brisket bowl, rice bowl loaded with brisket, and a house salad. The taco bowl was colorful, fresh, and loaded with flavor. The brisket bowl was my personal favorite. Smoky brisket over fried rice with vegetables, crispy wontons, cotija cheese, and a sweet-spicy sauce that kept me digging in long after I should have stopped. The rice bowl with added brisket was almost comical when it arrived. Massive chunks of brisket perched on top like they owned the place. Tender, smoky, juicy, and worth every penny. Even the house salad was fresh enough to remind us we were technically eating vegetables. What stood out most was that every dish felt like someone in the kitchen actually cared. Nothing felt thrown together. Portions were generous, flavors were bold, and everything hit the table looking as good as it tasted. We originally found Parkside by following our noses. After this meal, we'll be following our cravings back
