Once you enter through the door you immediately catch the friendly and cool vibe of this place. The beer and drink list is deep so take your time. Visited October 30th. Went here to check it out after shopping and eating lunch at Tres Hombres across the street. We were looking to have a cocktail and an appetizer. There was only 1 server who was also the bartender. He was overwhelmed and not his fault. After waiting awhile we decided to leave. He was too busy to wait on us. They have indoor and outside seating ( dog friendly!). The entry and outside was full of leaves..nothing that a broom can't take care of! I cannot sing their praises enough. I love B Street. I stop by after a night out to treat myself to brunch as it is usually on the way to pick up my car. Perfect ambiance, not overstimulating, and space is nice and airy. It's my own ritual; I always order beignets, and they are consistently good, light and fluffy. This time I ordered the open face toast with bacon (I'm totally butchering what it's actually called), but it was giving eggs benny, and it was so so delicious. Their hollandaise sauce tasted house made so I asked my server (Katie, amazing, 5 stars. Super personable and friendly) and sure enough I learned B Street is a scratch kitchen (absolutely everything is made in-house). IMPRESSIVE. The state of my breakfast yesterday is still pissing me off today. I wanted to come back after 6 years away from Chico, the porchetta breakfast really let me down. It resembled deli ham underneath the eggs, wasn't crispy the way I anticipated it to be, soggy and good flavor but just really disappointing. Also for the price, you used to get potatoes/hash browns. Now you get one slice of toast with eggs hollandaise. Kinda nuts. Bloody Mary was watery, like there wasn't enough tomato juice in their mix. It was just spicy alcohol. They were understaffed and I felt for the waitress who looked miserable, we were also miserable trying to get some service. Took far longer than I anticipated to close out, to be fair they were fully seated. I don't mind waiting for good food, I'm sure something else besides the porchetta is really delicious. Just don't want other people to be as disappointed as I was, so maybe if you know what you're getting you won't be upset. read more

Absolutely loved this place. The drinks were good and the food was better. The fundido is a must! It's soooo good, I'd come back just for that. I had the Cadillac grilled cheese without the meat and wasn't disappointed. My sandwich was good. My finance got the wings and said they were really good, a lot of flavor. My son got the chicken taco and said it was the best taco he's ever had in his life. His gf got the tacos and said they were really good also and big portions , shareable . We had just laid to rest my Cousin in fact today is his birthday. Happy Heavenly Birthday Chuck. So we came by for dinner to go. We ordered Cuban sandwich and the poutine with graveyard and cheese curls. We took it home and we enjoyed them very much. I give this fine restaurant 5 Stars tons of. kudos and 2 great big thumbs up. as always, wonderful wonderful meal I went through Friday night. I went there Saturday morning for brunch and I went there this morning for brunch and they never disappoint. Service was slow just because they had a huge party on the patio but we didn't care we hung out we talked we visited. We met people. It was awesome but if you haven't visited this little downtown gym or if you're from out of town and you want to visit a little downtown gym I would say yes for sure. We had the French eggs which I always get as a scramble and I add roasted tomatoes. It was fabulous my sweet baby had the biscuit Sando, which again was fabulous and cocktails are always a bonus. Don't waste your money on mimosas just get the bottle. It was a beautiful morning. It was a beautiful afternoon. We were in Chico for a football game. We were looking for lunch before leaving town and we found this spot. It is hard to really tell from the street, but this place is pretty cool. They had a big bar in a large older historic feeling bar. The patio out back was covered and crowded. We sat at the bar and found that they have a brunch menu on weekends. They have solid cocktails and a unique brunch. I had something the tasted kinda like eggs Benedict but it was on a toasted sliced baguette. Solid spot. I came to this place while visiting my brother not knowing what to expect. The food is really good and the portions are really big, they even have options for the kids, even though these are not on the menu the waitress kindly made the suggestion. The drinks were good, we tried their margaritas and the Eva Peron made with ginger, which I happen to love. Overall, the service was fast, friendly and efficient. The place is big enough and has outdoor sitting where you will find some family games. The dining area was clean and so were the restrooms. This was the first place I tried coming to Chico!! And was kinda late a night so it was one of the few places that was open past 9 pm. We have always enjoyed our dining experiencs at B Street Public House. Last night was no different. But we just had to call out to the entire staff who was so wonderful (they always are) and the ktichen staff for cooking up the most delicious foods. The dining room was quiet when we arrived. But the atmosphere, as always, was welcoming. We love the slightly dark ambiance and cool intertior. Our servers recognized us - yes, we are sort of regulars - and we shared some chit chat about what's happening in our lives. We enjoyed cocktails and a starter of fresh guacamole and chips. Update: I've come here consistently for years, so I've hesitated to update my review. That being said, the last 5 times I've been here, they have had really slow, impersonal service. I remember when it used to be absolutely packed for brunch. It's not anymore, and we know why. Food never comes out hot because the service is so slow. It's also quite pricey, which is fine with me *when the food is worth it*. Last time we got poutine with the bacon and egg, $17 base cost and $3 each for add-ons, so a $23 poutine. And it was cold. My French omelette, also lukewarm. Also that was the tiniest amount of hollandaise I've ever seen. I asked for extra hollandaise. It was put on the counter immediately. I just went and got it because I had a feeling the server wouldn't bring it for a while. Sure enough, she asked like 5 minutes later if someone brought it. Smh. Banshee and B street, which are run by the same person (or at least used to be) were always my go-tos to bring people because their food was so consistently good. Banshee is still excellent in my recent experience. I hope this is a phase, but I can't recommend B street anymore. It's much too expensive for the food to be lacking in any way. The hamburger was tasty but again want fries with your burger? Add 6$ for a pile of greasy , did I say greasy well had to wipe my hands ever bite! Definitely not a positive experience for this meal... although the group loved the chicken tacos thus the four star! I would have probably given it a 2 star if it was just me! Came out for Sunday brunch, place was moderately busy. We were greeted fairly quickly and the waitress came by for drink orders shortly after that. Drinks and beignets came out fairly fast and everything was hot and yummy! Took awhile to order food and then we waited a long time for food to come. Food came and everything was tasty and hot. I went to take my first bite of biscuits and gravy (it looked so good!) and the gravy was stone cold!! Scrambled eggs were warm but the gravy was so cold! Absolutely gross. I ate the eggs and was just going to ask them to throw the biscuits and gravy into the microwave for a couple minutes but the waitress never came back. I had also asked for hot sauce that never showed up. By the time she came back my family was done eating and I just had her give me a to go box for my biscuits and gravy. Disappointed in that dish. We ate here for the first time on our most recent visit to Chico this month, October 2023, and found it to be excellent. The place is nice inside, with a modern aesthetic, and some comfortable seating. They also have a large covered outdoor seating area in back. They have a pretty large beer selection of good beers. Food ranges from good to excellent. We got the trashy fried chicken tacos which were outstanding and an excellent dish both thoughtfully conceived and well executed. All of the different parts are prepared well and they, the chicken cole slaw, crispy cheese skirt, etc., make up a phenomenal dish with great balance of flavours and mix of textures. 5 stars. The poutine was very good, but had way too much gravy. The fries and curds were great and the gravy was also very good, with a real chicken stock character, but there was simply far too much gravy, which drowned everything. 3.5-4 stars. The southeast-asian-influenced spicy chicken wings were only ok. They were far too spicy, which completely dominated the character and made them a very one-note dish, with none of the other elements like caramelised sweetness, etc., noticeable at all. 2.5 stars.
