I first used Brodie's Roofing about 15 years ago when, on a cold 20-degree day in February, my son…read morenoticed the roof leaking in his room. I remembered this company as it advertised in our local West Milford newspaper. I called him about 11 a.m., and he was there with 2 employees within an hour. Again, it was a Saturday in February! A 4' X 4' section of the roof was replaced within 2 hours. He gave me an estimate for the replacement of the entire roof and said it did not have to be done immediately - that was a relief, and his honesty struck me. The roof lasted another 5+ years and never leaked. When it was due to be replaced, I called back. As I live on a major road, his response was that he had been watching the roof for years and concurred it was time to replace it. I knew the previous estimate was obviously no longer valid as it was 5 years old. I requested a new estimate and was shocked to see that he didn't want to simply go over the roof with a new layer but recommended the removal of the old roof - at substantially more effort. I trusted this man so much that I never even sought another estimate. The job was performed by his employees - 3 men and a woman! The work and clean-up were meticulous. The roof is now 10+ years old and has never given me a problem. He promised an annual roof & gutter cleaning and said it would be unannounced. He would just show up and do it. I was shocked to say the least. True to his word, every year - and sometimes twice a year! - Rudy shows up and cleans my roof and gutters. He never charges, but I always tip his employee. It's money well spent. Two months ago, one of my two 37-year-old skylights began to leak - not at the roofline, but the seals on the skylight themselves where the glass meets the plastic/metal trim. I called Brodie and he advised I was fortunate as skylights generally last about 25 years and he recommends replacement then as preventative maintenance. I guess I was fortunate to have gotten 37 years, and the leak didn't cause any major damage. The sheetrock just had to be replaced. He replaced both skylights and, as with the roof, I've had no issues whatsoever. He even recommended another contractor to replace the interior trim which was done meticulously. I've recommended Brodie's Roofing to many friends, and they have all had similar experiences. I wouldn't use nor recommend anyone else!
