We decided to have the roof cleaned because the front roof was showing signs of black, because of the shading from trees. We are not planning to sell, just wanted a clean look and to extend the roof's life. We had the roof cleaned about 10 years ago and could not find the company's contact information. So it was time for research to find a company that does not use bleach / chlorine. Not many companies use organic products, so it took a while to find alternatives. The alternative to Roof Renew simply emailed an estimate and email follow-up. With Roof Renew, Barb conducted a site survey and provided photos to discuss roofing and siding issues. Power washing the siding is something we were against because of experience a neighbor had with post power washing problems of things not working: light, doorbell, outlet, etc.. After discussing these concerns with Barb, she explained the low pressure they use which has not had any of these problems. After further discussions we decided on a complete house refresh of home and shed roof cleaning, siding cleaning, patio and walkway cleaning, all at a fair price. The day of the job the crew arrived on time, were friendly and attentive (they had to put up with questions / discussion throughout the job). Jose identified roof boots that were starting to deteriorate, so we added new boots. Additionally there were a number of small issues that were either nailed or sealed. The skylight on the porch leaked during the cleaning so they sealed the window and an area on shed roof. All of these items were on the roof and would only been found if there was a leak, so we're happy to catch them early and prevent roof leakage damage. The crew was very accommodating and went beyond expectations by trimming branches for me that were easily accessible from the top of their trailer. The level of customer service we received from Barb, Roof Renew Pros LLC, and her team was unmatched by any contractor we have experienced in our 25 years living in Byram and our house went through an amazing Before and After transformation. After getting our gutters cleaned, we were told we had mold/lichen buildup on our roof and if not removed it would damage the roof's integrity. When moss started growing on the shingles of tour roof it was time for some serious roof maintenance. I called several companies only to find they used fungicide, bleach and other chemicals. We organic garden so it was important to find a company which used organic methods to clean our roof and siding. As an environmentally conscious household, it was important to us to hire a service that used neither harsh chemicals, nor bleach products for roof cleaning. I previously received Roof Renew Pros' mailer and held onto it for this occasion as we had gotten moss and lichen growth on our roof. When you finally decide to get the crud and green stuff growing on your roof removed I suggest using Roof Renew. I had a veritable garden of lovely moss any florist would be proud to insert in a terrarium growing in the shady portion of the roofs. i also had theses nasty streaks and the roof appeared like it was growing a science experiment although the shingles were originally white. The team of two; Jose and Edwin, showed up on time and worked steadily to finish halfway through the afternoon. No breaks !!!! We all walked around the house to make sure they had everything on the list that was agreed to be done. They did some extra tasks to help me out by applying a few dabs of roofing cement since I don't climb on roofs anymore. I also had the deck cleaned. Its plastic and some green mold had grown on the ballisters. I usually hit it with Clorox in the spring but skipped it this year. Jose told me they use organic stuff that doesn't kill the shrubs.
