My wife and I were thinking about getting a Subaru for about a year. I saw Subaru running a 0% APR promotion so I started looking casually this past week. We had some errands to run and decided to stop by this dealership to see a couple of models. As expected, within a moment of parking in the "customer parking" area a young man came out to greet us. He showed us a couple models and let us take them for a ride. We liked the car, and a conversation ensued about our interest. Within two hours of pulling into the lot we had a purchase deal completed, including them accepting one of our vehicles for a trade based on two cruddy photos we conjured up from social media posts and my word on its condition ( We didn't have the car with us, as we did not expect to be making a deal today). The price for purchase was fair, and the trade in offer was fair. I have purchased so many cars over the years, new and used, and this time around I didn't have any second thoughts about the deal or the vehicle. I didn't even feel the need to go home and shower after sitting with the finance guy, even though he did that thing where they offer all the different extended warranty and carpet/wheel protection, etc. These guys did the deal quickly and were direct and easy to work with. One other thing I noticed, we were the youngest customers in the place. I felt assured that the collective wisdom of all these septuagenarians meant I was in the right place. read more

Haddad Subaru - 2021 Subaru Outback Premium at Haddad Subaru - Car Dealers Near Me - Pittsfield, Massachusetts

I am a woman in my 20s, who drove back to Pittsfield, my hometown, from Boston because was in the market to purchase a Subaru and wanted to spend my money in the Berkshires. Took a test drive of a few Subarus, and this was all fine, and I learned a lot from the salesman. Started negotiating the price, with the help of my Dad, who has worked around cars for 35+ years, who came with me. The sales team would not budge on the price of 28k for a 2021 model of a car which had visible scratches on the back bumper, when the 2023 new was 3k more. They also only offered 1k for my car that runs well, has new wheels and battery and is up on all of its maintenance. We told them we wanted to get down to 25k. They tried to trick us into thinking they lowered the price by counting 3k that I offered to put down in cash as "lowering the price." They made it sound like they were "doing us a favor" by taking my car with "all that it has wrong with it" - direct quote. They said they didn't see that there was maintenance done on it, when the sticker was in the window. They also messed with my car radio when inspecting it, and it didn't connect to FM radio the next day. The absolute worst part was that there was a manager on a pedestal looking over our shoulder and watching our conversation the entire time. I only found this out when I tried to bring up all of the competing prices in the area, and I heard a man's voice laughing behind me as he said "well, that's a different model and it's standard." I get that there's business to be done, but I deserve respect, and this was pretty disconcerting as a woman. Needless to say, we did not make this deal. When I left, the salesman seemed confused, and asked me if he'd been "mean or something." The next day, I ended up driving back to Boston, and when I traded in my car I was offered ** 6500 ** for it, which I thought was a fair price, and I also bought a brand new car of the same model for 24,500, with only 5 miles on it, and all the bells and whistles, with my trade in when I would have been paying 28,000 with my trade in for a 2021 used car with scratches on it (which they avoided talking about when we mentioned it) at Haddad. I worry for all of my friends and family in Pittsfield that they won't see through the tactics that this dealership uses to make money off of the customer and how they really do a convincing job of making it seem like they're doing you a favor. They're not. I really wanted to "keep my business in the Berkshires" but sadly, for this proud Pittsfield native, I felt forced to take my business elsewhere, and I don't regret that one bit. read more

I put $ down on a new Subaru Outback. I went to Haddad because it had a good reputation, but my experience wasn't very pleasant. Our sales person was cocky and not very knowledgeable about the car or Haddad's policies. He couldn't give me a straight answer to most questions I asked. I almost left without buying because I found him so unpleasant and disrespectful, but had already invested time and liked the car they had. I haven't heard back from him about when my car will be in even though he said he would call the first week of July to tell me the status of the car. I have bought many cars in my lifetime and both my father and brother were car salesman and this is the only time I had a negative experience! I hope I haven't made a mistake buying it here. I'll keep you posted! I got an email from the General Manager and a call from my new salesperson. They obviously take customer service seriously. This was my first experience buying a car as a woman alone and having a woman salesperson made me more comfortable since I have found when shopping with ones' husband, salesmen tend to ignore the woman and think she doesn't know much about cars. I got a very fair deal and Danielle picked up my new car in order for satellite radio to be installed and she drove it back to my house. This business is terrible at best. They do no deserve one star. They will ripp you off. Bought an outback from them, as soon as the car left the lot the customer service was gone. The tires was garbage after one year. They said the rotated them at the requested services, never did. They will charge you for services they have never performed, bought new tires, charged us for tire rotation and labor, if we hadn't caught it they would have charged. Aircaps are missing on the new tires, windshield washing fluid was emptied never filled. Etc. Very upsetting, doesn't seem to be any management or quality control at the place. Don't buy or have your Subaru serviced there. read more

I went to this place once looking for a new car and the dealer was extremely sketchy. I could tell he was making up whatever fact he could think of to try to relate to me. As I was about to leave he tried to say that his dad had the same name as mine as a last chance. My dad has a very unusual last name so I could tell the guy was completely full of *!*$. I gave this place my number to keep me posted on future cars that I might be interested and they called me non stop for months from different numbers. Our experience at this particular dealership was unfortunately awful, many issues with things being wrong with vehicle they didn't communicate until after we purchased it. Over looking all the small unfortunate issues, then we purchase and sign for vehicle told it needs to come back for ball joints we didn't know it needed. Upsetting however no choice on our part however once we pick it up it has mismatched tires now on it ... they said back were no good however again didn't tell us. So we purchased a truck with matching tires to then have them switch them out with only 2 new different tires unmatched on the back. It was already purchased going in for ball joint and they without getting permission or communicating with us switched our tires off our vehicle that we then already owned. They simply told us we could purchase 2 other new ones and they would put them on free of charge if we paid for the tires themselves how nice of them!! I live in California. I was leasing a car for my son at UMass. It was important for me to comparison shop and accomplish as much as possible before I made my cross country trip. I had never leased a car before. Most of my correspondence was with Alanah McClear, the internet coordinator, and Josh Gamache, a sales manager. They were both very professional and patient with me while I asked many questions about leases and what needed to be done to make the deal go smoothly when we arrived. Haddad offered the lowest lease price. Other dealerships I spoke with cautioned that they may be leaving out some hidden costs such as registration, taxes, title, delivery and acquisition fees in order to get me to the dealership. Both Alanah and Josh reassured me that all fees were included, and that the lease price discussed would be honored. When we arrived we were met with a friendly greeting. Alanah and Josh were honest and true to their word. The lease price was exactly as we had been quoted. A salesperson (I think Ian) reviewed the car features and accessories with my son. The team also worked with us and our insurance company to compete the registration near the end of their day so we could take possession of the car. This was important because we drove over a hour from UMass and did not want to have to repeat the trip. I would highly recommend Haddad Subaru. They are professional, friendly and honest. Not only was the service much more expensive than I feel it should have been, but I wasnt really pleased with the customer service at all. Unlike some other Subaru dealerships I really like Haddad! My family has been buying cars and having them serviced there since back when they were Pete's Subaru. My mom has purchased her two cars there and while we may have purchased our Subarus elsewhere, other family members and I have had our cars serviced there regularly. In my experience the service department is very good. Friendly, well organized and incredibly helpful. They give estimates about how long they expect service to take and make alternative arrangements regarding pickup without any difficulty. Anthony was friendly, helpful, and prepared for my appointment with a car ready to show when I arrived. He discussed options with me and listened to my concerns. He was easy to talk to and accommodating throughout the process. Only recommendation would be to have some financial tools on hand (like a monthly cost calculator app, or a spreadsheet printout of ballpark monthly payment based on cost of car and loan term); these would have been a helpful tools to use in-store, as for many customers buying a car comes down to financial viability. Bad bad experience with this dealership! Dealer lie to me as I found out that my sunroof stop working and found out that sunroof was after marketing. Dealer told me that car come from Lease. How can sunroof installed by lease as not come from Subaru. I purchased car last Feb and I have to waited till April and finally got it. They told me that I will have 7 years left of warranty. Found out there is no warranty on my car and said it was 3 years or 36k and no extend warranty. God! How could they trick deaf buyer!?? General manager told me that I should bring my own interpreter. Know how much it cost me for pay interpreter plus purchase car. Not right! Never purchase from them ever again! Don't buy what they tell you as what a awesome car. General manager said they are just do running and selling car as long it safety car not luxury car. Whatever luxury car is not their problem to solve. I'm concerned that a transaction that was underway on 3/21 did not work out due to miscommunication. On the 21st (a Saturday), I was provided with a printout with details about the car I was going to come back the following week to get (and trade in my car). I was told that they'd be ordering it for me to come to the Pittsfield dealership as it was not onsite. I called the following Tuesday to find out the status and whether I could come in. At that point the dealership was closed (COVID-19) and sales staff not in, but I did speak with a manager who confirmed that the car with that VIN was attached to my name and said that when the dealership re-opened (at that time, a projected date of 4/7), they would be in touch. I didn't hear anything, so I called on 4/8 andI discovered from a coordinator (not a manager) that the car that was designated as mine was sold to another person on 3/21. That seems to contradict what I learned by phone on 3/24. Fundamentally, this is about trusting a process and the information and intent of a dealership. Right now, I'm not feeling that. Given the pandemic, it is understandable that things may not run smoothly, however, I think that perhaps this dealership needs more attention to customer service and follow-through. Ultimately I had to reach out to them and when I did I found out that the car that I was told in no uncertain terms was going to be mine is gone. I'm sure I'll find another car at another dealership, but I do hope that Pittsfield Subaru will tighten the communication process. read more

I made a appointment as my Subaru was at 100000 miles to have my timing belt replaced. The morning of my appointment I received a phone call from my advisor Mark stating that I did not need the appointment as my car has a timing chain and not a belt in which I was very impressed by their commitment to my satisfaction and it saved me alot of money. What service center does that. I brought the car anyway for regular services that I needed. Anyway Mark made sure that I had a shuttle to and from work. I have been a customer of haddads for a very long time. And have never had a bad experience. Stop by see Mark or Shane they will make sure your well taken care of. It's very easy to post negative comments. I don usually post on these sites. But feel I should for the service I get. .if you have had a bad experience tell them they will do everything they can to make you happy. Sometimes some people you cant make happy because it's not their fault that your car has a problem it's your car not theirs take care of it. Dont blame them for something they didnt do. Jeez. When something they do wrong fine tell them they will correct it I've seen it happen. Have seen people who blame them for issues with their car and blame the advisor . To get something for free Not right people the advisor is not the technician. He or she advises you based on the information from the technician. To help you come to a conclusion of what should or should not be done. I wanted to trade in my car for a more efficient model. I called up Haddad and spoke to Darrell. He recommended a new Impreza Sport, which would meet all my requirements. An hour later I drove over and took a test drive. After showing me a few other things about the car, Darrell let me keep the test drive vehicle overnight so i could explore it fully. This was really great as it gave me an extra chance to test the car in real life situations, as opposed to the regular drive around the block test drive. Upon my return the next day we negotiated a fair trade for my vehicle, and he even through in some extra incentives. Darrell made everything super easy, took care of the paperwork, and by the end of the week i had made a great trade for a great new vehicle. read more

I bought a new Impreza from Haddad Subaru in February 2011 with the extended warranty (bumper to bumper). What a load of crap. I went for service today and nothing I needed repaired was covered. Seriously? The console cover cracked, the glove box shock doesn't work and the remote mirror controls pushed inside the dash and is inaccessible. I was told if the mirror control wasn't working it would be covered. These guys are rip-off artists. NEVER AGAIN! I am cancelling my warranty and will lose +/- 75% of what I paid. My husband has been trying to grieve and put his mothers affairs in order after she died after a long battle with cancer. He tried to return her leased Subaru and they refused to take it back. The wanted compensation for the 10 missed payments, were concerned about a accident years ago. They did the repair work at 3times the anticipated costs so there would be no issues with the lease. My husband was shocked and devastated. When I got here to help we called the bank. They were clear, this is not appropriate. The family is not responsible for the deceased lease payments or buyout. They would not come after estate as the manager had threatened. The suggested we go back with the car drop off keys, get name or card of person left with. I knew from the first visit they would not give name, card, or take keys. I took his picture, did just long enough to get image because he was manager but would not give name, or card. He was furious. Then be professional, accept the car back. Stop trying to bully people for money they do not owe. Trying to get people not involved in lease to sign, make deals not allowed. Threatened the estate again. Threatened police. Refused to take the keys unless we paid money or allowed him to "buy us out". It's not ours to do that with! Left keys, video tape car before drop of and was in perfect condition. Called Bank again they were aghast at the horribleness of the dealer. Me, too. Beyond belief. I would avoid this dealership at all costs. Not even human decency. I will reach out to Subaru corporate and district managers this is no way to act on a small town. Not loading video for his privacy but he is the manager. Pray he is never in such a position and gets treated like that. Subhuman. read more

unfortunately I feel like I have to write this review. This is a review of the Haddad dealerships as a whole. Do not waste your time at any of them if you value your time and money. The staff will be very nice to your face but that's where it ends. Now I'll list out all the things they have done. 1- Once traded in a car to them for a brand new model of what it was. With this transaction I was owed about $300 something dollars from the gap insurance from the previous car. I was told that they would cut me a check and it would be in the mail soon... 3 months went by and I contacted them about it and they tried to act like they had no clue what I was talking about until I informed them I had the paperwork with signatures on it. I had the check in two days. Did they think they were just going to keep my money? 2- I drop my brand new WRX (2015) in for its first oil change in the morning before work. This car is my baby and I've been following the proper break in cycle for it until the proper mileages. At the end of the day when I pick my car up I check the photos on my phone of the mileage I dropped it off with and what my peak boost was. Then I discover its been taken on a 3 mile joyride. Peak boost when I dropped it off 10 psi and when I got it back it was 19.9 psi. You have to stomp that gas pedal to reach that psi. Their response was a total bs story. 3- Is the second car talked about in #1 after I traded in the car from #2. I bought this car in the winter time so as part of the agreement I was taking my rims and winter tires from my 2015 and putting them on my 2019. I got to keep the rims and tires because the rim size changed between the years. Flash forward and it's time to put the rims and tires on that came with the car and get its first oil change. I pick the car back up and same thing as in #2 but some extras. The car was taken for a joyride, boosted high psi, gouge in the paint on the side skirt from someones boot, and it took 3-4 days for them to give me an alignment for the steering wheel to finally be straight. After this example I will admit that they did make an effort to take care of the situation and I only think that was because the service manager and I were on joking terms with each other, he is actually a really good guy. They fixed the scuff in the paint, and they gave me multiple free oil changes. For these free services I would wait at the dealership for it to get done and when I did that nothing funny would happen with my car. With that being said it leads us to #4. 4- It's time to put my winter tires back, get it detailed, and get an oil change. I couldn't wait there for this to be done so I had to drop it off. I pick the car up and its more bs. This time two of the snow tires are on backwards, there is a gouge in my cup holder somehow, and it took them another number of days to get my alignment right on it. Who in the world is working on peoples cars there? This was my final service ever to be done at the Subaru dealership. 5- My girlfriend wanted a used forester they had. We got the car and after that the person we dealt with started social media stalking my girlfriend. He tried saying it was part of their customer outreach program but after calling and speaking to a manager it turns out they don't have a creepy outreach program like he was trying to pull. 6- Now I switched the their Toyota branch in hopes that they were more professional because when I bought my brand new 2011 Tacoma I had nothing but good things to say. Times have totally changed. I went to get an oil change and have my summer rims and tires put back on. I pick the car up and it has been taken for a joyride and they didn't link my tire pressure sensors. I talked to two dudes that couldn't seem to be bothered so I left and called the next day. They had me come in that afternoon and linked the sensors all while acting like I was the a&%hole for being mad about my car being taken on a joyride. 7- Constantly giving my girlfriend outrageous prices for work to be done that just happens to be something she randomly "needs to get fixed right away" after an oil change. These prices are at least $300 more than what other shops in town charge to do. On top of that they treat her horribly after they find out she is not going to have them do the work. In conclusion these dealership are dumpster fires. I'll admit I'm an idiot for all the times I went back there. Do not go to the Haddad dealerships unless you want to get Haddid. read more

Finally found one that I loved the look of, had everything I wanted and more and an unbeatable price!
