Last year after moving to western Mass from S Carolina I brought my car to Cichy's to get it ready for winter. John told me that I would probably need a winter thermostat (not often in southern cars) for $200.00 over the normal cost for antifreeze etc. I braced myself and when I picked up my car, John said I didn't need a new thermostat so the cost was just for the oil change, antifreeze, etc. I was and am still impressed because they could have charged me for the thermostat and I would never have known. Brought my Hybrid car in for diagnosis of noise in front end. Appointment was fast and easy to make and I dropped my car off that night after hours using key drop, Got a call the next day from John who said he checked my car out and just found a loose sway bar link nut which was able to be tightened. Nothing was needed to be replaced and I could pick the car up . Very Honest about my cars problem and the minor repair that was needed.. Well worth making the short trip out to Williamsberg to find this honest auto repair shop . Is a plus that they are also a hybrid repair garage so now I will not have to go to the dealership. We have been fortunate enough to have this as if it is our private grange for over forty five years. Traveling over 150 miles a week on back roads throughout the hill towns and frequently in the White and Green Mountains, never a problem.If there is an issue, it is identified quickly and resolved. From Mitch on, their mechanics are a pleasure, polite, articulate, and know cars. They also have a sense of humor which makes things not only efficient but enjoyable. It's a great place. we have used Cichy's frequently over the years and always found the service and knowledge outstanding. only recently did we discover that their pricing for tires is extremely competitive. After getting a quote from the service manager for a larger vehicle we didn't even look anywhere else, recognizing we were getting an excellent price. the work was done the next day. As a senior, I am particularly pleased with their attention to detail and reminders of things I might not think to replace, i.e. wipers, on a regular basis. My husband and I were in Williamsburg when our truck broke down, living an hour and a half away we were in a panick until we stumbled upon Cichys. We received the absolute best service! We just showed up and they said no problem we will get you in and get you fixed up. They were honest and were not out to get our money. The gentleman took a look at our truck made sure it was safe to drive and sent us on our way so we could go on to our fun family day we had planned and to worry about it when we got home. Cichy's is amazing! Mitch saved me nearly $1600.00 when my muffler and catalytic converter had rusted out. My former mechanic told me the repairs would be over 2K. I called cichy's for a second opinion. Mitch said "let me get back to you in a few. I'm pretty sure that's under warranty". Sure enough, he was right. It meant that I had to go to the dealership to have the work done. I had to pay for a muffler from them, but $1600 worth of parts & labor wee free! and Cichy's made not a penny!!! Honest, forthright, no-nonsense. They have been great with my cars, and also generous with their time when there were hard-to-diagnose issues. They also did me a favor and worked on a lawn tractor in an emergency.
