I ordered 3 items take out, and on the spice level told them I like it spicey with as much flavor as possible but not to be too painful, they said that was a 2 out of 5, for my family on 2-19-25. The Phad Thai was ok, with more of a smoky flavor than most other Thai restaurants, my son and I give it a 5 out of 10, Prick Khing Paste (red curry with green beans) was not as flavorful as many other restaurants, so we give it a 4 out of 10, the Phad Woon Sen (glass noodles with veggies) was practically tasteless, I give this a 2 out of 10. These ratings are compared to all of the MANY Thai restaurants I have eaten at nationwide. To be fair to Hae Ha Thai, it may have been more tasty if the spice level was at 3 or 4. read more

Special occasion dinner, so trusted the reviews of others and gave Hae Ha a try. The reviews are spot on. Excellent, fresh and delicious Thai food right here in the Tri. We love leftovers, so sampled four dishes as well as a pair of app's. To start, Avacado Spring Rolls and Pot Stickers. Super fresh ingredients, lots of herbs and generous proportions. No meat in the fresh rolls, but the creaminess of the Avacado and the volume of the packed rice noodles, fresh herbs and vegetables made for a light and delicious starter. Interestingly, the only thing they fell down on was the dipping sauces (peanut sauce and a sweet soy dip which IMO were overly sweet). Not worth losing a star over, though. For mains, Tom Kha Gai, Crispy Garlic Chicken (a house specialty), Keemao Noodles, and Supreme Cashew Nut (all with chicken). The surprise here was the wok hei in the stir fry dishes. Someone in the kitchen knows their way around a flame, and the smokiness in the Keemao was distinct and delish. The Tom Kha Gai had that perfect combo of sweet, sour, salty and I LOVE that they strain out the lemongrass, lime leaf and galanga root prior to plating. The Crispy Garlic Chicken was pretty good dressed in an unremarkable crunchy cornstarch coating which made the caramelized garlic sauce the star of the show. Although the interior could use a bit of a refresh, Hae Ha's super friendly service, lots of fresh ingredients, appropriate use of herbs and huge servings make up for a slightly fatigued interior. Certainly not going to charge them a star for this...the food stands on its own. I hope you'll give them a try. read more

This is probably the best Thai in the TriCities, and that's saying alot as there are a number of great Thai places here. Hidden behind the Jiffy Lube on Canal St, this family owned restaurant produces consistent, amazing Thai fare. If you are a fan of Bangkok style Thai you can't go wrong. That said, the owner is willing to cook off menu items if you have a specific northern or southern Thai style dish you like. I have ordered Nam Prik Noom (one of my favorite northern style dishes) which isn't on the menu, but it was happily served up exactly as I remembered when I visited Thailand in the past. Also Kai Jeow Moo Sab (Thai omlete with pork) or Kai Jeow Nam (omlete with Thai sausage) are some off menu items that were amazing. Prices are reasonable considering the post covid supply chain issues and if you're lucky you might be able to get some fried ice-cream cake they make in the back for special occasions. 10/10 would recommend. read more

I wanted to try something different today. So today I chose the garlic spicy crispy chicken with some white rice. Smothered in beautiful thick rich delicious garlic chili sauce and some fried crisp basil leaves and chicken. Wow! Phenomenal!!! My taste buds exploded on first bite. I went with the spice level 3 just to be brave but I should've went with a two because I always add some mini oil Thai peppers. Wow!!!! Speechless. Now to the chef as usual!!!! read more

Took the fam to eat here for the first time, so we can't compare to the prior owners. Ordered the Tom Kha soup which was amazing with great flavors. The crab wontons were some of the best in the Tri. We ordered green curry, massaman curry, pad Thai and the Basil chicken. The massaman may have been the best I've had in a very long time. The pad Thai and basil chicken were fantastic as well. The kids enjoyed and liked the green curry, but I never tried because I couldn't stop eating the massaman and basil dishes. We split a mango sticky rice...should've each ordered our own! WOW! I am Thai food lover and lived in Thailand for several years. This is the best Thai food I have tasted outside of Thailand and probably equal to simply the best ever. The chefs treatment of the product is exquisite and the food explodes off the plate. We had the basil chicken and Tum Yam plus the most delicious green curry I have ever tasted. The staff are fabulous welcoming and really friendly. The restaurant is spotless, bright and homely. Tips Actually ask specifically for the protein you want. Shrimp Chicken etc, don't just assume that the base has the protein. Take the heat options seriously a 3 is quite spicy a 5 is nuclear. I've only ordered here one time and it was only one dish. Chicken Pad Thai. Not the worst that I've had. That "honor" goes to a restaurant that put peanut butter in the sauce (ew!) The noodles were a good texture and not too saucy and not too dry but the sauce was mostly sugar. It was like the sauce base was a simple syrup. I can often salvage poorly seasoned sauces with my pantry goods but there was no saving this. There just isn't any way to remove excessive sugars from a dish. Since the restaurant is across the river from me there is a good chance I'll not order from this place again. But I'll probably be better off. At least my pancreas will be if I avoid that sugary dish. read more

I decided to try this place tonight based on the reviews, since my go to place Thai Elephant has become sub par last few times I've ordered. Let me tell ya, I'm glad I tried! I picked up my order an hour late and when I got home most of the food was still warm and tasted great, I can't even imagine what it tastes like fresh off the wok. Anyways, I got chicken pad Thai, beef pad kee mao, chicken green curry and papaya salad. All 2 stars spicy. Everything was very good, flavor on point, noodles just right, spice level just right. The only thing I didn't like was the beef was too chewy, I usually get chicken so I'll stick to that for next time. I hope this place keeps up the quality as it gains more customers. This will definitely be my go to from now on, looking forward to other dishes on the menu. I'm a Thai food snob btw, I've lived in Seattle, SF, and NYC plus I'm a pretty good home cook, so I know good Thai food when I taste it. read more

New owners!!! These guys are awesome! Very friendly and attentive to the customers. My family decided to try this place as they were new and had high reviews in a short manor of being open. The food was fresh and delicious!! The portions I will say are much smaller than other places. We ordered a mix of 4 main dishes and an appetizer and split them between our family of 5 (3 teenage boys, 2 adults) we tried the pad prick, Phad Thai noodles, broccoli beef and another veggie plate. The gal in the kitchen that cooked the phad thai didn't like the way it turned out so she made us another fresh one as a compliment for not being happy with the quality of the one we were eating. I generally like to get the Pad Thai at places like this, but decided to go with the Pineapple Fried Rice. I'm not from the area and was just passing through. We don't have any good Thai restaurants around us so we decided to get some while we had new options. We were so glad we gave them a try! I found them on Yelp and they only had one review but it was a good one, and for good reason. The staff was extremely friendly and the service was extremely fast. From ordering to eating was less than ten minutes! We ordered a lot since we rarely get to have Thai these days and everything was delicious, and we got to enjoy our leftovers for lunch today.
