No question asked .. solid 5 stars in all aspects …read more. From the tranquil setting to the exquisite pastries, open face sandwiches, organic teas and the outstanding service!! Kudos to the young gentleman who we had the pleasure of dealing with this lovely afternoon .. since it was our first time .. he took the time to explain the menu and made suggestions .. our party of 5 enjoyed immensely and was able to try out a bit of everything! .. after seeing their post on Facebook we decided to take a drive out .. at first we thought we had entered an unauthorized driveway as we had to pass a service road ( unpaved ) .. upon making the last turn we saw a wide open plain with tiny white flowers all over the grounds .. come explore the space and enjoy the organic teas & hand crafted confections ( do try out their Japanese inspired Anko Confections! ) Call ahead if you wanted to reserve specific items as they are all made in-house in a very limited number!

What an super amazing hidden gem 8 Corners is!!…read more 8 Corners Organic Tea Room is located inside a forest, so it looked a bit shady to get to the venue, but so worth it. It even said that it's "closed" but really, it was open, but only just for us because we booked the Private Function Room for a bridal shower!! We got to the room and it was like high-tea heaven! They had prepared the room specifically for the shower and it looked spectacular!! I loved every single item we had here- pastries, treats, tea. I loved that everything was organic and made fresh in-house. My favourite would be the orange jelly dessert because I have such a sweet tooth! And my favourite tea is the bubble gum iced tea!! All of the tea was delicious! The wait staff and kitchen staff are so friendly and family-like. They were such amazing hosts. I am definitely coming back again!

The interior of their store is quite whimsical, with all the sloth themed decor. Plus, they even have a claw machine that you can play. It's such a fun place! Their ice cream is freshly churned and you can see it churning continuously throughout the day. It's mesmerizing and I could stand at the counter for quite some time, watching the ice cream churn if it weren't for other people coming into the store, wanting to place their orders! The ice cream flavors they have number less than 10, but they are all wonderful flavors and we were impressed with the quality of the flavors that we tried. The flavors they had when we went were as follows: Rich Black Sesame, 2 Shots Espresso, Premium Earl Grey, Supreme Oolong, Uji Matcha, Creamy Mango with bits, Hokkaido "Milk", abd Very Strawberry. We ordered Premium Earl Grey and Uji Matcha ice cream, along with their Golden Peach drink. Yum, yum, and yum! While I love a tasty drink I think my love for ice cream is greater, and the ice cream we had at Teapressu was exquisite. The Uji Matcha flavor was very pronounced and while Earl Grey is a flavor that tends to be very much absent in a lot of desserts I've tried, I could actually taste the Earl Grey flavor this time in their Premium Earl Grey ice cream. Service: Good Parking: This part can be tricky but we managed to find free parking a couple blocks away on Burlington Ave. Location: 5242 Kingsway, Burnaby, BC

The girl working behind the counter was so sweet and recommended some stuff off the menu. We loved everything we had. Even talked to some locals inside and they were so friendly and gave us some more recommendations in the area.

The menu has shrunk considerably and their business days/hours are also a lot less than what it was previously. The drinks were not as tasty as they used to be. My Blue Rose drink was the best of the bunch and I would say even that was just OK. I enjoyed the Lychee jelly in my drink. That was probably the best part of the drink. The liquid part was kinda "meh" for me. I think the best thing we ordered was the matcha soft serve ice cream. On the flip side, there was a guy playing piano there and they were taking requests. I suggested Demon Slayer and the guy played the famous "Gurenge" song by Lisa from season one of Demon Slayer. That was kinda cool. He was a very good pianist. Great way to liven the atmosphere. Also, there was a guy who came around and gave us all tiny paper cranes. It's nothing much, but still always nice to be gifted with anything at all. Business must be hard for them. It would sure be nice to see them return to how they used to be, with a bigger menu, tastier drinks and more days/hours again. We love this place for the manga/ anime vibes that it exudes, and love the Matcha soft serve ice cream they sell here. Really wanna give this place a higher rating but the drinks were really not up to par this time, and as much as we love the Matcha ice cream, it is not by itself enough to warrant giving out a higher rating. If they could just improve the quality of their drinks again...then even if they menu remains limited, at least if everything they serve is of good quality...that would be enough to merit a higher rating.
