Went here for years and had nothing but stellar things to say, which makes writing this review a bit hard. They've taken good care of me and I've referred several friends their way. Recently they hired a new kid at the service desk and I won't be going back because I can no longer trust the service department. I brought my bike in just over a week before a 3 week/5k mi trip to get an oil change and get a 'quick once over' to have a second set of eyes make sure everything looked good to go. The kid at the service desk upsold me a replacement on my slightly bent front break lever (good job!). Days later when I hadn't heard anything back, I called and found out they ordered the wrong replacement bolt for the break level so it was going to take an extra day or two. No problem! Two days came and went but no update. I called on the third day. Wrong bolt again... expect another 1-2 days. Finally, the day before I'm supposed to leave, I get the call at about 3p that it's ready. I drop what I'm doing to head over and pick it up before the service department closes. While paying my bill I ask how the once-over inspection looked. He said he didn't do one and asked what I wanted to have looked over. I replied with 'you know, basic stuff like chain, sprocket, and brakes...' so the kid walked outside while I was paying. He came back and said I absolutely needed a new chain. Now, losing my patience (since they'd had my bike for over a week), I asked when I'd be able to get that done. He said he might have one in stock and looked but to no avail. The part order would take another two days and I'd have to either launch late or cancel my trip. I asked if there was anything else that could be done. He walked back outside and looked at the chain again. After returning, he said, 'Chain is fine and should make the trip no problem... it just needs to be cleaned/lubed'. Imagine my confusion when just 5 minutes earlier the same person examined the chain and said I absolutely need a new one. He sold me the chain brush, chain cleaner and lube and sent me on my way. When I got home I inspected everything again myself and it was fine. Suffice to say, the service department is now being run like a poorly managed sales department. You've lost a loyal customer and my referrals. read more

Very Rude! I called in for service. Told them that them that my bike idled for a min most and then die. I also told him that I just had my bike recently serviced for oil change, etc... Before I can ask him why it may be doing that or if at warm days do you still have to turn on the enrichner (choke), he said, "Look I don't have time to answer you". I have customers waiting in line and you took the bike somewhere else, so how am I suppose to know what's wrong with your bike". He then said, take it back to where you had it serviced. Update.... Got my bike back today. A few days later than originally predicted, but with bikes, I'd rather have the work done right than quick. The bike ran very well after the work, and aside from the annoyance of the crap gas they sell these days, the bike was as good as new. I've found a new place to take my baby when work is needed.... Thanks Earl! **Edit again** With recent events being considered -- I've updated my review. The bike has been back several times for random electrical issues. After about a weeks time again... the bike is worse than when it was dropped off. Its an "old" bike I grant, but still... I've had one of my bikes serviced here several times in the past. Made the appointment, showed up and they got me in. The job was done when they said it would be, and done correctly. This is one shop where I don't have to wonder if they tightened all the bolts or forgot something. Recently, I was in the market for another bike. I was on my way to another shop when I stopped into Fredericktown Yamaha/Triumph because they were on the way. Talked with them about the bike I wanted, and within an hour, we had a deal that was acceptable to both of us. Easily the quickest and best experience I've had yet buying a motorcycle. Came back the following week, picked up the bike and I've been happy ever since. I would definitely buy another bike from them, and will continue to have my bike serviced there. read more

From day one I been treated nicely. The staff helped me get started by giving me good info where to get my motorcycle license and some encouragement. The manager helped me know the different options that I have for riding a motorcycle since I'm only 4'9. I bought my jacket, gloves and helmet from them. I've been happy with my merchandise. Now all I need is good weather!!!! After two bad experiences, I can assure you that I will not be returning to this establishment. On my first trip here (an exploratory trip, I had done a little research on different types of motorcycles and knew generally what I was looking for, but still needed some direction) I was treated as though I obviously had no idea what I wanted. The sales person's general attitude was "oh you silly girl, you have no idea what you want... so let me tell you what you want." This experience left a bad taste in my mouth as I have grown up in a family full of riders and while I am no expert, I do in fact, know what I want. Fast forward to about two months later. I had basically decided on a Yamaha r3 and chose to take a trip down to twiggs (as I had much better experiences with them) to get a chance to sit on one and see if it fit my small frame. Unfortuantely, twiggs had just sold their last 2017 r3 so they showed me many other bikes that might fit my needs, but I just couldn't be sold on any until I had a chance to feel out the bike I was fairly certain I wanted. They informed me that Fredericktowne did have the bike I was looking for, so at the very least I could go and get a feel for the bike itself. Reluctantly, I drove back to Frederick and right to their shop. Upon walking in the door I see that not only do they have the r3, they have the matte black ABS model (score!). I stand by the bike and wait... and wait... and wait... while everyone who doesn't need help is offered assistance and I am left alone. Finally an older gentleman (who after exploring their website for an email address, I find is the owner) comes over to me with no introduction and just says, do you want me to pull this out so you can sit on it? I say yes please and he pulls out the bike. He is clearly not at all interested in speaking with me. I sit on the bike and begin speaking with him a bit about my needs as a smaller frame rider- I stand 5'3". I ask him a question (regarding aftermarket clutches- I have small hands), which he ignores and walks away from me to speak to another customer. Clearly someone he took more seriously as a buyer. So here I am, left alone on a bike in the middle of the showroom. Not knowing what else to do and appalled by the blantant dismissal of me as a buyer, I dismount the bike and walk about the store a bit before finally leaving without the bike that I was more than ready to buy and take home that day. I don't know if I was dismissed because I look young, or because I am female, but regardless of your prejudices this is no way to run a business. I was an easy sale that day and now unfortunately for fredericktowne, I will be ordering my bike through twiggs instead. Learn to respect all riders, fredericktowne, not just the ones you see fit. I promise you I will be telling all of my friends currently looking not to do business with this establishment. read more

I purchased a Yamaha Star Bolt from Fredericktown Yamaha in September 2015. This was my first motorbike purchase ever, so I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I worked with Bill Kline in the sales who was exceptional to work with. I actually went to look in to the HD 883 Iron from across the street Harley dealership, and on my way out, I saw the Fredericktown Yamaha and thought "huh, there is a Triumph dealership here too? Lets see what they have to offer". I went in to see the Triumph, but the Star Bolt caught my eye. It looked good, felt right and the price was actually more attractive. So I took the price quote from Bill and decided to sleep on it. During the next week I emailed Bill and asked him if the Star Bolt was still available. He told me that it was so I asked him for the OTD price. What he offered was not too high, but I thought I should push my luck a little. I offered him about 300 less than his quoted price, and initially, Bill told me that it will not be possible. Later that day, I think an hour or so after his initial email, he emailed me back and told me that he can sell the bike for the price I asked, but I will have to pick the bike no later than Wednesday. I called him back, told him to get the bike ready because I am on my way. I went up to the dealership, gave him the initial deposit and picked up the bike the following business day. I dont think the whole process could have gone any smoother. Whenever I decide to buy myself the R6, I will be reaching out to Bill again. read more

I purchased a 2017 raptor 90 for my son Friday and took it back Tuesday. After 2 hours of riding, noticed smoke coming out the back. Had my son park it and checked the oil. 0 oil. The dealer charged $125 for "service" to a new vehicle at purchase. All they did was put gas in it, they were supposed to also look at oil. I bought the floor model since it was all they had. I put in a quart of oil and dipstick still showed only slightly above full. Now they want $1500 to take it back since it's used. Otherwise to take the engine apart and fix parts and give it back. I find this small business to be a fake. If they're honest people, they would acknowledge that you can't run an engine with little oil and think you can fix it as good as new. Yamaha has lost a customer and Honda has gained. Hopefully they will be the honest small business they claim and allow me to pay them for minor wear and call it quits. I've lived in this town over 30 years and never would have thought this business would do this... read more
