Our girls had the best time enjoying the water park, pool, and all the fun campground activities. The golf cart rides quickly became a favorite, and our evenings were spent enjoying the simple moments we love most: ice cream from the Campfire Café, s'mores by the fire, and quality time together as a family. One of the things we appreciated most was how family-friendly this campground is. There was plenty to keep the kids entertained, but it also gave us the chance to slow down, relax, and enjoy the beautiful Colorado surroundings. A special shoutout to Pat at the pool! He was such a kind and welcoming presence and did an amazing job helping manage a busy pool full of families while keeping the atmosphere fun and enjoyable for everyone. It's those little touches that make a stay feel even more memorable. KOA Colorado Springs is a great option for families looking for a fun and convenient camping or cabin getaway. We're already looking forward to coming back!

I've posted pictures of all, the grill requires charcoal so be aware of that. We were on site 104 which is on the end and furthest away from any of the amenities and we enjoyed it immensely! It was pretty quiet back here. I like the size of the campsites - and they have greenery and such that gives you a little bit of privacy We paid about $100 a night so this is not budget friendly but it's nice! There is a ton for the kids to do- there is a huge pool facility, a mini waterpark with slides, and it was actually open before memorial day which was surprising. Limited hours, but it's heated and people were enjoying it. There are also kids activities held Friday through Sunday in the recreation room, but be aware they have a lot of toys for sale in there so that might be a challenge if you have a little ones, lol! There is even an off-road go kart track- I believe it was $10 for 15 minutes There is also a restaurant here that is open Friday for dinner through Sunday at 2 PM at the moment, maybe they are open more in the summer. We did have buffalo chicken quesadillas for lunch one day. They were out of all the other ingredients for any other type of quesadilla, lol. The man working the counter was very friendly and the quesadillas were tasty! We did use the laundry facility- they had four washers and four dryers, everything worked fine $2.75 each for wash and dry We did not use any of the public bathroom or shower facilities as we have a self-contained unit You are close to the highway so there is some road noise, bring your fan They do have a lot of different options for camping so if you don't have a camper, they have basic cabins, but they also have high-end tiny homes that look like they fit quite a few people, as well as covered tent sites - so there's a wide range of camping options here All the utilities on our site worked great Garden of the gods is about 20 minutes away, so make sure to block a few hours to go check out this beautiful place. There's also a cute little town called Manitou Springs near there. Highly recommend a walk about town and lunch.

The sites are large and allow for privacy and the use of canopies and other outside gear. Close to numerous Colorado attractions including Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, The Royal Gorge, etc. laundry and restrooms clean. Lots of wildlife and places in the RV park to walk. Couple of issues -road noise M-F from 7:00-4:00 as large trucks haul gravel from the quarry to town. The 2 lane road runs on the whole side of the resort. AND, we reached out to the advertised Colorado RV services to get some work done on our RV. They came by 2 times to meet with us but never gave us an estimate or touched base to schedule the work. We followed up numerous times. Our initial conversation was 7 weeks prior to our scheduled departure. This left a very bad taste in our mouths. Very bad customer service and follow up. We traveled in a 36 foot, class A.

The facilities were so clean and well maintained. Since we had these spots all day, we had a hike in the morning for people attending the wedding as well as the actual wedding in the evening. Most of our guests explored the facilities and hiked most of the morning. I know many of them will return soon because it was great. The amphitheater had electrical connection on the center circle. We didn't need it because the acoustics of the amphitheater were amazing. We had a harpist and the music carried beautifully. Their voices were clearly heard throughout the amphitheater. Our rainy day plan was the pavillion, which is lovely and amazingly well planned. This is a gorgeous place for a wedding. I can't believe I didn't mention the staff. They were so communicative and helpful. They were such a joy.

We moved to the Springs from Denver a few months ago and we love how quiet this park is compared to other trails near Denver. This park is also very clean! As someone who doesn't like using public restrooms I thought these bathrooms were so clean. We enjoy that the park has plenty of parking, one of the parking lots even has a playground, and a pump for your bike tires. There's also picnic tables which we really enjoy using after our hike. We haven't camped here or mountain biked but that is an option too. Some hikes are easy enough for you to bring your kids, and others offer more of an incline. In the summer you see birds, butterflies, and lizards. This place is great, we really enjoy it!

My family and I have been camping up here many times and again most recently. I love this campground because: ++ The host (and family) is beyond friendly, super accommodating, generous, always has a smile on his face and is quite the talker. He and his wife come up each summer to run the joint, and as a result, they have made many friends, and have a great energy about them. ++ Bathrooms! Yes, I will admit I am more of a "glamper" - meaning I'm okay to not pee in the woods. With restrooms located throughout the two-loop campground, I can do my business in peace. The facilities are well equipped with toiletries, air fresheners and isn't too bad for a toilet that doesn't flush! ++ Loop one features LARGE campsites perfect for tents and trailers, are close to the roaring water, and provide so much shade! Loop two, is closer to the camp host, main road to town and provides less shade, but is just as nice! Sites are well maintained, clean and provide plenty of room to spread out. ++ Fires are allowed! With fire bans throughout the state, it's nice to have the ability to have a contained fire in the pit. We roasted marshmallows, cooked steaks and spent ample time talking, singing and staring at the stars. It's not truly camping, without a fire! ++ Firewood delivery! The hosts granddaughter (who is all of 10 years old), makes a point to deliver firewood to anyone that requests and pays for the three-pack minimum - all for $20, plus a few buck tip for the delivery! ;) ++ Views for dayyyyyssssss! Overlooking the twin lakes that the town was named after, and just at the base of Mt Elbert - it's hard to go wrong with a view that great! ++ Just a short 2 1/2 hour drive from Denver, 20 minutes from downtown Leadville, and 2 minutes from Twin Lakes! --No reservations are allowed - meaning this place fills up FAST as it is a first come, first serve basis. Previously when camping here, we were able to come up Friday morning to grab a killer spot. With its popularity increasing, now one must come up earlier in the week (like Wednesday!) to get a spot. We were lucky to snag the LAST spot in loop two. --For $22/night, I found this to be a bit steep for an overnight price. --Less privacy in loop two! Our little site was a bit small for the four of us, and the only decently flat and shaded place for our tent was awfully close to our neighbors. Despite the few downsides, I know we'll continue to summer camp at Parry Peak!

I checked us in, bracing for the classic "no ETA" doom... but the staff casually said it should be back within the hour. I smiled, nodded, and mentally prepared to cook dinner by flashlight and charge phones with potato batteries. But plot twist: the power actually came back. An hour later. I wanted to hug someone. Water pressure? Think more spa mist than power washer. It was like the pipes were gently encouraging the water to make an appearance. Slightly frustrating, sure--but we're campers. We've survived worse. Our site was gravel with a fun little tilt--ideal if you like your RVing with a side of puzzle-solving. Thankfully, we had the leveling blocks (aka orange marital stress diffusers). We only had to repark three times. Bonding! The fire pit area was amazing--stone walls made us feel like we were hosting medieval s'mores night. The kids went absolutely bananas on the jumping pillow and playground, which means we got at least 27 whole minutes of peace and adult conversation. #ParentVictory We didn't have time to hit the pool (tragic), but it looked lovely--clean, blue, inviting... like it was whispering "next time." And now: the bathrooms and showers. Spotless. Honestly, tasteful. We're talking chic tile, pebbled shower floors... the kind of setup that says, "Just because you're camping doesn't mean you can't feel fancy." Did I take my shoes off in there? Absolutely not. It's a shared shower, I'm not a maniac. But it looked great. 10/10 for aesthetics and vibes. Bottom line: We'll be back. We'll recommend it. We might even take off our shoes next time. Maybe.
