I was disappointed as I am on a road trip and due to fires going on in Colorado and Utah I was unable to even get to this campground because of road closures and a fire blocking the way to this campground. When I called the staff and notified them about this, they were unhelpful and were not willing to refund me even partially. I get that businesses need to make money, but I feel that they could have refunded us as there is no possible way to get to the campground without running into fire. read more

This location is by the highway so there is a lot of highway noise and trains passing by. It is a bit pricey for the location. There is a huge lot of RVs and trucks in the area next door. Not sure, but it seemed that it might be free. There are individual bathrooms with sink, toilet and showers; however, the showers are timed at 7 minutes and won't turn back on until after 5 minutes so be prepared. read more

I stayed there for almost a year until they hire this new guy named Clay, he's totally a jerk, disrespectful and racist. He treated me and talked to me with a lot of offensive words just because I had my dog with out leash. I did wrong yes I admit it but I don't think that's a proper way to approach with somebody, and calling someone bitch specially if your are an employee. it was 10 pm when he started making a whole deal and yelling at me as if I had done something's very bad. I explained what happened with the owner Ruben and he didn't listen at me not even that I was staying there for a long time more than the new hire (he had 1 month living there) and I never had problems with anybody. They want me to apologize or leave the same day. Of course I didn't and I left. my dog wasn't the only one with out leash , in my stay I saw a lot of dogs with out leash but I was the only one who got kick out the place. read more

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!!!!!! Joe who didn't do us any favours parking our RV over a 4 foot ditch and bottoming out our stairs. Then telling us "everyone does it"or " I don't own the place ".We asked if they had any other easier spots that we could move to. Joe said NO. I love KOA, always have. Being in the Rocky Mountains in Pueblo cabin camping makes it all that much better. Really nice attentive folks run this place. Beautiful decent pizza at their cafe in a clutch. Easy to find just off of I-25 South in Pueblo CO. Pretty desert scenery and very well run. Pizza and ice cream were good. Quiet peaceful campers, but the freeway noise is something. Love the train noise but some ppl might not. Pueblo is a really nice town. Eat at "Dees Tackos" in town. Authentic Mexican food well done. The location is very convenient and we'd go back for sure. So this started out as a 3 star review for me do to the confusion of checking in and figuring out our reserved spot. This is due to the lack of hours that the office is open which can be ok as long as you leave the reservation info in the night box so we know where to go. Anyhow, our experience improved from there. It turns out that the owner is quite nice and he wants you to have a pleasant experience in his park. We are in the very early stages of considering to purchase and run and RV Park of our own and the owner here was very forthcoming and helpful with some of the things that it takes to get a park up and running and then how to maintain it going forward. The park itself is a typical KOA non-destination park. Level gravel sites, full hook ups, decent sized spots, etc... Verizon service was good, wifi was so-so. read more

This KOA in particular did Nied our stay because we drive a converted school bus. They say that it's because of its condition. However a higher tear of KOA the KOA holiday excepted us on a monthly rate where we have been staying for four months. The problem is I had emailed them photos of my rig and they were approved and excepted and I have been waiting for a space for months they do not return calls they do not call you and let you know when your spot is available their customer service is very poor. If you drive a skoolie do not stay at this campground go to the KOA in Fountain they are 10 times better. read more

This place is a joke.! They don't remove snow by the bathrooms. The hot tub gave me a rash. The cable was ok but the internet couldn't stream anything without buffering. There is no landscaping in the new area and the wind is terrible. I was a monthly and their new spots have shitty water pressure, $650 a month is too expensive for an RV spot in Pueblo. If you are only overnight it's probably great.! I was not and it sucked.! Also neighbors walk by your spot or through it and have no respect for boundaries let their dogs crap at your spot..! When I told the owner that I was having an issue with Mr. Cox he called me crazy to workers.! This is not a good place to VAY-K..! The Colorado Springs KOA is way nicer, so if you are going south stop in the Springs if going north keep going until you get to the springs. Also there is a bridge you have to go under that is one lane on the north bound side to get there so be careful getting there. The desk workers that were nice and complained about other workers being rude were forced out to other KOAs.! Sad .! We have moved to a nicer place but I won't say where because I am afraid of retaliation..! Happy camping and stay safe out there.! Located just North of town, this is a nice, well kept campground, run by the nicest and friendliest folks you will ever meet. Be aware, it is in the warm, dry, desert area of Colorado. There is not a lot of shade. However the pool is exceptionally clean and inviting. The all you can eat pancake breakfast is well worth the small price. Very nice laundry and shower facilities. If you have an issue or concern during your visit, no sweat, someone will be nearby to quickly assist. Coming from the South, driving a tall rv makes entry into the park a little bit challenging as there is a single lane bridge with 13ft of height clearance. Same is true if leaving the park and heading north on I-25. If this creates an issue for you, simply go to an exit up or down the highway, turn around to make sure you are staying on the west side of the interstate and avoid any concerns. If you have a problem, they are quick to help. 24 hour laundry is nice. Close to Pueblo. 40 min from Colorado Springs, 1 hour from Canon City and 20 min to Lake Pueblo. If going northbound on the interstate and you exit 108 you find yourself at a one car, 13' 3" tunnel that we were not about to try to pull our 5th wheel through to get to the other side of the interstate. Not a chance. We went almost 15 miles north to Pikes Peak Raceway exit to be able to cross over the highway. Park is clean, mainly rock and gravel. Interstate noise and train prominent if you are outside but not an issue once inside RV. read more

The owner was very nice and friendly to interact with while making change for laundry. The laundry facilities had a couple of machines down for maintenance, but luckily no one else was doing laundry. So facilities were adequate for our needs. Washers cost $2 per load and dryers are 25 cents per 10 minutes. The park has gravel spots that are fairly close together. The park is near the highway, so there is some traffic noise but it wasn't bad. Facilities were clean and well kept. So overall this is a good stopover place on the way to a final destination. read more

We stopped here for a two-night stay. The staff at this park are the best! Very friendly and accommodating. They have a great little pizza place at the park which will deliver to your RV. We were not fans of the showers. They are very small and narrow. I'm a small girl and there was no room to shave my legs. The restrooms and showers are not air-conditioned and it was close to 100 degrees when we were there. There is also zero shade at most of the sites. We have our own WiFi network and could not get service. We have never had an issue with our network. The park's WiFi was worse. If we stay here again, it would only be overnight. read more

My kids are looking forward to trying the jump pillow thingy and the pedal cars. I'm hoping to try out the hot tub tomorrow. I needed a place to crash. But I didn't want to pay big bucks for a hotel. We checked into this place at 1900. Registration was super easy. After hours forms. :). Very clean and nice people were super friendly. Totally recommend this place! On ramp and getting to highway are very odd and sketchy but the koa doesn't have any control over this but you should definitely review before arriving to ensure you are able to maneuver through it. read more

The owners work the camp and obviously take pride in it. Grounds are clean. Community bath/showers are amazingly well kept. Pizza and ice cream in the club house (have it delivered or dine in). It's a very "y'all come back now!" atmosphere. Lots of stuff for the kids incl. exploring nearby trails and ponds (daddy look what we found! -ribbit-). What Happen to the Awesome Customer Service? My husband and I have stayed at this RV park several times and have had a Wonderful time. All the staff last year were awesome! Most of the Female Staff at the KOA office were great! Michelle was Awesome Great Customer Service it was so good to see her again. But there was one female worker named Barbara she was very rude! If I had to go to the office for something and she was working I would cringe when I saw her. Not one hello, or how are you doing, she just ignored me and my husband. All the Men staff we interacted with were Very Rude and Unfriendly. We would say hello to the guys working and never got a hello back. Needless to say with the Unfriendliness and Poor Customer Service and a Old Guy with Long Gray Hair and Beard Hitting Up on me, I doubt We will ever come back to this RV Park Again!! read more

Friendly and helpful staff and the cleanest, nicest bathrooms I've ever seen in a campground. There's a small pool and a jumping pillow ($2/person). My son ordered pizza from the clubhouse, and it was nothing special, but it was hot, fresh, and tasty. The campground is located next to I-25, so if you're in a tent you'll hear some road noise. We were in a cabin, and it was just like white noise in the background. The sites were close together, and the campground surface was dirt/gravel with a few more trees around but little shade to speak of. The thing about a KOA is that you know what you're getting. I pulled up at 10:30 a.m. not knowing that the office is only open from 8am to 10 am. Than reopens at 3:00pm to 6:00pm. That is a real long lunch break. I would have liked to have done business with them but no one was there. I ended up going to another KOA that has better hours. This is the only complaint I have is these hours. This KOA needs to add to their info on their website that north bound traffic will have to go through a ONE-WAY underpass that is marked 13' 3". We are 13'5" & they thought we should just try to go though underpass & take the chance of tearing 3 air conditioners off. We decided to continue on the road & find another place. Because we made a reservation they would not refund our money. We would have NEVER made reservations here if we had this information. We came through right after some rain. The roads are all dirt which meant a lot of mud. The person we registered with had us in the wrong campsite which almost caused us to get stuck in the mud. None of the sewer hookups were working and the dump station is questionable, we will find out in the morning. I'd only come back here as a last resort. read more

This is a tough KOA to get to. If going southbound on 25 and you exist 110 you have a really tight turn to get to Camp. With a motor home towing you can't swing too wide, because there is a steep ditch. If going northbound and you exist 108 you have a one car tunnel marked 13'3". For a motor home towing this is scary. We are getting an exact height before we go out again. Camp itself is okay. Clean and tidy. We too ran into the office hours. We needed to get propane before heading out and office closed. Lots of highway noise, but views of mountains in evening nice. read more

The hosts and activities really make for a great trip. Carolyn and Michael (hosts) are great. Very relaxed and accomodating. We've visited this KOA for 3 years and always have a GREAT time. It is near the highway and the train tracks, so you do receive some noice (cars/train horns, etc). However, great place to stay if you'd like to visit what pueblo has to offer. I25 Speedway is very nearby (great time), Pueblo zoo is ~ 15 mintues away, as is the Riverwalk. The KOA also has a pool (very nice for the hot summers), pizza/ice cream in the store, nice trail for a walk and a jumping pillow for the kids. read more
