Unfortunately, our experience with Dr. Nayna Patel was very disappointing. While she initially came…read moreacross as empathetic, that quickly changed once my mother-in-law began expressing her concerns. After briefly reviewing her MRI, Dr. Patel dismissed her symptoms and told her that injections would not work, that her spine was "closed," and that surgery was the only option. The conversation felt rushed and one-sided, with surgery being pushed without exploring or discussing other possible treatments. When we tried to follow up with questions and concerns, the office did not return our calls for over a week. When we finally received a response, we were told that my mother-in-law had "trust issues" and that Dr. Patel would not continue working with her. This was extremely unprofessional and upsetting, especially for someone who was simply seeking clarity and reassurance about her health. Ironically, we are now grateful that the relationship ended, because we found another doctor who took the time to properly evaluate her MRI, said surgery was not necessary, provided injections, and my mother-in-law is now doing great and feeling significantly better. Every patient deserves to be heard, respected, and given options -- not dismissed or labeled for asking questions. Based on our experience, we would not recommend Dr. Patel.

With any visit to an urgent care there can be a feeling of apprehension when you're not sure if…read morewhat you need to be seen for is worth the trip. I had a fall the day prior and concerned I may have experienced a hairline fracture. From the moment I arrived, I was immediately checked in, triaged and x-rayed. My longest wait was to be seen. Yet, even then my wait was probably all of 15 min. More than likely I picked a slow night but not attempting reason for another visit anytime soon...haha... Overall, between the moment of check-in to check-out the staff were kind, caring and supportive. The only thing that stinks is paid parking. All small price to pay for the prompt and expedient service!

Dear Torrey Pines Urgent Care Staff,…read more Thank you for your message and for the care you provided during my recent visit. I would like to express my sincere appreciation to your team. The staff were professional, attentive, and very helpful, which I truly value--especially during a time when I was dealing with post-surgical discomfort. At the same time, I would like to respectfully share a concern regarding patient comfort. As someone who is still recovering from spine surgery, I found it very difficult to remain seated upright while waiting. I understand that wait times are part of urgent care services; however, having a few reclining or more supportive seating options for patients in significant pain or post-surgery recovery could make a meaningful difference. I offer this feedback with respect and appreciation, and in the spirit of helping enhance the patient experience for others in similar situations. Thank you again for your care and dedication to your patients. Respectfully, Tony

Scripps.Torrey Pines as my vision was being affected by the top and bottom eyelids which were blocking my field of vision. I had surgery on 11/21/17. After the swelling went down I and others noticed that my eyes looked the same as pre-surgery. I had an appointment with another Dr. @ SCRIPPS Torrey Pines to check for cataracts a few months ago. He informed me that the cataracts were not ready for removal. He did tell me that my upper eyelids were drooping and recommended that I should go back to the surgeon who did the surgery. I said that there was no way I would go back to him he then recommended Dr. Bobby Korn, an Ocular facial plastic surgeon but he as at UCSD IN LA JOLLA. I saw Dr. Korn in July of 2019 and got a surgery date of 10/15/15/19. That was last week. I had the surgery with no complications and was driving the following day. I saw Dr. Korn for post-op visit and everything looked great. There are no bruise marks as he cut away the excess skin on the outside of the eyelids. They are gradually fading into the fold of the eyelids and will eventually fade. I thank Dr. Korn and his excellent staff for the wonderful job they did and I highly recommend him for anyone needing that type of surgery.

Check doctors notes after visit and you will see many errors. Example doc notes said numbing and endoscophy was done. It wasn't and they billed insurance for this. Notes said septum midline. It is not and never checked. Ct Scan done through another provider showed it was bent in 2 places. Do not trust these doctors with your health. They do quick exams with many mistakes and have absolutely no bedside manner.
