Dr. Azawi is such a sweetheart. When I found out I was pregnant I wanted to make sure I had a Dr. who cared about her patient and didn't treat me like just another #. I researched and found that many women loved Dr Azawi. I am now 41 weeks pregnant (past due) and she has been so understanding and helpful towards me and my unborn child. She always greets her patients with a smile, she always walks in the room and compliments me, and I know I'm not the only one because I hear her interact with the rest. Her favorite line is "my hands are cold but my heart is warm" and it couldn't be more true :). Also, her nurse Ligia is just as nice and helpful, you will interact more with her as she takes care of you first along with all paperwork. She is very knowledgeable and kind. One thing I must warn you, her office in Paramount has horrible parking so I always arrive 30-40 mins early to try to find parking, if your out of luck and time you have to find street parking. Other than that I'm glad I found this office before Dr Azawi retires, she is an older lady. Yes, aside from office being dated the service is great...so what that your not in a prestige office, what matters is the care you get. Very professional.

Dr, Azawi and my baby daughter, 1 week after delivery!

Doctor stated she wasn't seeing me for a UTI and will not address that issue. That I need to go back to my primary with concern or go to Urgent Care. Then went to her staff and argue with them for taking the UTI test for me. CRAZY! AND...DID NOT USE GLOVES FOR PAP SMEAR! I told the receptionist but she didn't believe me. I saw her transferring the swab to the counter with her bare hands. Don't go! But I will say, the Spanish speaking assistant was very nice!!

Here is my…read morehonest review: I had severe itchiness and discomfort during the entire second half of my pregnancy, but Joy, the nurse practitioner who runs the clinic, dismissed my complaints on multiple occasions. I spent hours researching my condition and worried that I could have bacterial vaginosis, which can cause miscarriages. I briefly self-medicated with probiotics and vaginal suppositories, which is warned against because the suppositories contain boric acid, but midwives have prescribed them. Also, I was desperate. Two weeks before my due date, I met the doctor who was going to deliver me, and she diagnosed me with a yeast infection and prescribed a cream. I prefer addressing root causes with natural remedies rather than using pharmaceuticals to suppress symptoms, but I didn't want my baby to develop thrush, so I used it and hoped that he wasn't born a week early and exposed to the infection or medication. Magnificat's nursing staff is nice. However, on three occasions, one of them told me she would follow up with me by phone but never did. Another caused me to have to go to a lab for blood work three times because she filled out the paperwork incorrectly. I ended up delivering my baby myself at home, which was a wonderful experience. A few hours later, I called Magnificat to set up an appointment with the doctor, but I was told that I had to go to the hospital. (That is not true, and in the future, I would find a doctor who is willing to treat me as an outpatient.) I went to St. Mary's Medical Center, which was terrible compared to Long Beach Memorial. They were understaffed, took my blood twice because they forgot to do a certain test, a narcissistic nurse made snide remarks, the facility is outdated, etc.). They instantly killed my oxytocin high. I checked out a day early. When I called Magnificat a few days postpartum to possibly schedule an appointment because I was concerned about my unusually slow pulse, the receptionist told me to go to the ER. I didn't feel like it was an emergency, and I had just been released from the hospital a few days prior, so I didn't go. I just wanted to talk to the doctor to confirm that I wasn't at risk of hemorrhaging and possibly get a referral. The doctor was only at the clinic once per week though, so apparently being seen by her wasn't even an option. I didn't bother going to my six-week follow-up exam because I didn't feel like Magnificat could help me. This place should be used as a last resort.

The front desk person and the girl who actually did the ultrasound this past Saturday were both very sweet and caring and took the time to do my daughters ultrasound to her satisfaction. Seeing my future grand daughter on the screen was a wonderful experience, it meant a lot to us! We found out that the baby has dimples, full lips, hair growing and a cute button nose. We couldn't be more happy to see her on the monitor. She looks beautiful, healthy and adorable! This was such a wonderful experience, from beginning to end, it was a generous 5 stars! Thank you so much!!!

I had no idea that after 34wks it's harder for them to do the ultrasound since baby is head down. But they were still able to take me as a walk in. The ultrasound went amazing and the second girl who finished the ultrasound was able to get a lot of photos of my baby boy. She was even able to get one of him smiling. I truly recommend this place. All 3 girls were so sweet and nice the office is super clean, and well maintained. The ultrasound room is very spacious and the bed was super comfy! Very relaxing and calming over all. Thank you to both of the girls who made this experience amazing for me My ultrasound was today 01/18/2025 at around 12ish I wish I could have gotten their names ! Thank you girls so much !!
