A service tech showed up promptly the next morning and confirmed we need a total system replacement. Yikes! Salesman shows up later in the day and presents pamphlets on Lennox and Daikin equipment, even showed prices, between $14,000-$16,000. Later he emailed the actual estimate, same prices, but now the equipment is Goodman, much lower quality of equipment. I got a much better deal from another local company $9,000. Be careful when dealing with salespeople in a moment of need. The worst part was, the salesman pulled the breaker from the outside unit so no cool air was being pushed out. After he left I put it back in for at least a little relief on these hot days!

As a bonus, Ben is just a heck of a nice guy and great to chat with, and we felt very comfortable entrusting him with the work. He's knowledgeable and spent time to explain everything so that we felt well-armed to make our decision. Ben and Kelsey came back out and in one (long, full, really hot) day had our AC totally installed and blowing cold. They arranged to have the electricians out at the same time (who also did a great job) and it was clear that they've worked together for a while -- for us, it was totally seamless while they coordinated the work together and got it all done. Everyone we dealt with was professional and friendly. They approached the project with integrity and took care of every detail, then walked us through all of the work when they were done. Getting the appointment set up was a trial in itself believe it or not. Appointment finally set for 9:00 am Saturday. At 10:30 I tried to call as no-one had arrived nor had anyone called to say they were running late, etc.. Left voicemail. Call again at 11:30, went to voice mai again. Brad and Kasey worked tirelessly to get our unit up and running before the extreme weather hit. There are quite a few bad reviews on here that are specific to American Home Shield (home insurance). We also have American Home Shield and ran into SEVERAL issues (dragging out approvals for extended periods of time). Elite staff went out of their way to communicate any hangups with AHS to move our claim along and get our unit replaced. We plan on continuing with Elite for service and maintenance of our new unit.
