I had been seeing Seth and he does a great job with cutting hair. With my work schedule, it was easier for me to go on a lunch break. He was usually on time but then I went and he was a few minutes late, ok I get it. The next (and last) time I went, I sat for over 20 minutes waiting on him while watching him have a conversation with the guy in the chair. They were done, just talking. I was not acknowledged. When I finally got to the chair, no apology. I said I was about to leave since I had to get back to work and still no apology but was told about how that guy was a president of his own suntan lotion company or something. OK great, but now you're 20 mins late and waiting to cut my hair to tell me about suntan lotion. The conversation was overall awkward during that haircut which made me decide I needed to start my hunt again. If you aren't in a rush then I think JC Male does a nice job, but don't go if you need to be somewhere or back to work on time.

Maybe part of her issue is that her mother brought her 9 year-old son to the appointment to wait at the salon for Meagan to finish my app. He could not stop saying, "Why can't we go home now?" during my entire appointment!!!!! After my first cut and color with Susan, I knew I could quit looking for a stylist. I'd found mine. I recently moved to Kansas City, and have found that finding a new stylist has been the hardest part of the move. Based on a referral, I started out going to one of the best salons in southern Kansas City. I've been nothing but disappointed, here and at several other salons. I wasn't too surprised to have to pay more in the "city", but I'm really surprised that even when I paid 2x for my color, and 50% more for the style, I was getting styles and color that didn't even come close in quality to what I got at Panache. I guess I have difficult hair, with swirls and cow licks in difficult places, and very thick hair. Not to mention the fact that I insist on having a wash and wear style that doesn't require anything more than blow drying with a round brush. Susan was always great to listen to my needs and give me a style that looked great and met my requirements. Every time I go back to Michigan, I call Susan and ask her to do a "hair intervention" to fix the bad cuts I've been getting in Kansas City. I'm moving on to stylist #5 in KC, but I always know that Susan will be there for me when I go back in a few months. I've always felt it wasn't worth it to cut corners with what I spend on my hair. When my hair looks good, I feel good about myself, and project a lot more confidence. That's so important in this job market. My experience in Kansas City has really driven that point home. In the end, I spend more on my hair trying to get a bad cut or bad color fixed than if I spent a little bit more in the first place. When I was in Michigan I always felt that Panache was a good value, a good investment in me. After my experiences here in KC, I am even more certain that Panache is an excellent value, delivering great styles and color at a reasonable price.
