First let me start off by saying that I am a male in my late 20s with natural Trini hair and am very very very particular about my hair. After my wife did some research, she found Patricia for me. I was a bit skeptical (as I have had bad experiences with my hair stylists and barbers until this afternoon) but trusted my wife's judgement. As I met Patricia, I was taken aback as I thought she would be older judging by our conversations prior to the appointment. I was her first male client and I can honestly say that I have never had anyone work on my hair with such skill, finesse, patience and passion. She LOVES hair and from my experience, the people who love something, tend to do it the best. Money is clearly not as important as her reputation and for all of the reviews written on here, including mine, she more than deserves the praise. She was considerate, praised my hair and how I have been taking care of it, but what is most important is that she is genuine in what she does and how she does it. Wearing our hair (men and women alike) natural is tough, but finding the right stylist who cares as much about your hair as much as you do is even tougher. Well folks, she cares. And she doesn't just care, she knows her stuff, what she is doing and does it all greatly. Thank goodness I found her! I made an appointment with Patricia based on all of the other yelp reviews. Thank goodness I did. She welcomed me into her salon which is so nice, clean and inviting. I could tell from the start of the appointment that Patricia was a warm, humble and friendly person. I told Patricia the basic idea of how I wanted my crochet style to look and showed her previous photos from a crochet style that was done at another salon. I explained how the previous crochet style was not done exactly the way I wanted and how the other stylist used to many packs of hair. Patricia listened to what wanted and took her time with the installation. All of the crochet braids are neet, small and uniform. The curls are also light and my cornrow braids don't hurt at all. Patricia went over and beyond my expecations on the style which is a short bob cut. My crochet braids look so natural, stylish and carefree. It's a great look for summer . I even had extra hair left over for the next installation. We talked the entire time it took to do my hair and it was great getting to know Patricia. I had my crochet braids done yesterday by Patricia. I was looking for a new stylist after a bad braid experience and wasted money. I was a little skeptical when I didn't see many reviews for this business, but decided call anyway. I called an hour before and she took me right in. I'm already getting compliments and ppl ask me where I had it done. She gave me both invisible middle part and side part to make the style versatile. The stylist , Patricia, is very friendly but all business, with no unnecessary interruptions. She gave me advice on maintaining the hair and different styles to wear. The price is low I think for the quality of work done, Patricia just started her business so that's expected. The location is very comfortable and welcoming. They don't have a large selection of hair on site so you have to bring your own. All in all, I love it and I will be going back. read more

I have been to Ms. Anzoa twice now and as a first-timer when it comes to box braids (my hair is four years natural and has never been overly manipulated besides my usual Afro and my two-strand twists), both experiences have been nothing but pleasing and wonderful. Her hands are very gentle and she fulfilled my request to have shoulder-length box braids to the fullest. She was even kind enough to rebraid and loosen several braids that were giving me trouble, free of charge. As somebody who lives roughly three hours away by bus and who relies on public transport, believe me, the journey to Ms. Anzoa is well worth it when she provides nothing but spectacular work. read more

I had my hair done by Patricia in a Marley twists style about two weeks ago and I'm still so pleased! I have natural hair and I normally do simple styles on myself but this change was exactly what I needed. Aria was so gentle and efficient that the process flew by! It was also helpful that she was a great conversationalist and made me feel comfortable the entire time. I'm looking forward to getting more twists/braids done by her soon. She's a true perfectionist and very patient in managing my hair. She really cares about each strand of your hair! I came to hair by Anzoa for the first time to do my braids. My hair texture is really soft so every stylist i tried, my hair lasted only a week and slipped out. She's also very friendly and the place was neat and I felt comfortable doing my hair there. The area is quiet and there's parking space I had no problem parking my car.
