I wanted highlight/lowlights, and those were completely ignored both times. 1st I had "LETS GK UT VOLS" Orange hair. The 2nd time I had a muted orange hair. I did not want either of those colors. I went in for low lights and highlights and came out with all over color that I did not want. They never responded to calls, emails, and when I made a review on Instagram, they blocked me. I gave Liv the color that I wanted which was low lights and highlights and ended up with the orange hair. And yet Grace, the owner, said it was my fault because that's the color I picked. Again I wanted low lights and highlights, and ended up with all over orange hair. I am a natural strawberry blonde, and now have a muted orange hair. I look like Leeloo from the movie "The Fifth Element". I'm sure they do great blow outs, but colour? DO NOT DO IT. Go to Salon Soca, which I should've done in the the first place.

We were very pleased with everything. I especially have to brag on my masseuse Matt. I've been dealing with upper arm pain for about 10 months. I've even been to another masseuse and I have received very little relief. Matt worked on my "locked" muscle and I'm almost back to normal. I was lied to about booking last appointment and not wearing a mask. Taylor Way of Crop Hair Studio…read moreallowed me to get my sons hair cut in March 2021 and was not required to wear a mask. She said if I booked the last appointment that I would not have to. I booked for daughters hair appointment(for June 1, 2021)and she refused to allow us in without a mask even with exception. She said she never heard of an exception before. This was the worst experience ever. Taylor showed zero customer service. I'm also not sure if she was discriminating due to race. She is the one who told me to book last appointment and not have to wear a mask. She said since March 2021 rules are more strict. I told her that is not true. Mask rules have been eased since March. She said she was in fear of having her business shut down. I told her there are exceptions to mask and she is the one who told me it was OK when I booked. Very odd behavior by an owner of salon. She needs to be educated to not lie to customers.

Don't get me wrong, they were nice (not genuine just nice), but I'd rather just have a good haircut and not be overcharged. $30 for a haircut (I also waited for 25 minutes past my scheduled time) is ridiculous. They might be good for colors for women, but this was my experience from a simple haircut that took less than 30 minutes (including shampoo) and costed as much as a filet minion.

I also booked for a gloss (and only a gloss, no hair cut / styling) online it said it would be 60.00$ and after my session was done it totaled to be 115.00$. Apparently they have a salon fee they sneak in there and don't tell you until the end. The gloss looks nice, but I feel like I got ripped off and for that reason I would never go back. What frustrated me even more was that the checkout system automatically required a 20% tip, with no option to leave a smaller tip or decline it. I understand tipping for good service, but I don't feel comfortable being forced into a 20% tip, especially after the price of the service had already increased significantly from the $60 I was originally quoted. If there were additional charges based on time and labor, I feel those should have been clearly explained before the service so I could make an informed decision about the cost.

Four stations (four workers), three hair wash sinks, two overhead blow dryers. The beauticians do an excellent job and work efficiently. There's a couch and two comfy chairs up front to sit and wait for your turn. Large windows. One facing Roan St and the other offering views of the woods They even have a Nespresso machine! But I didn't see any coffee pods. Ask for Shanna. She highlighted, washed, cut and gave me a blowout. She's very knowledgeable about coloring and highlights and did a fabulous job. I highly recommend Shanna. She can do women and men's hair.
